SUMMARY:

The kingdom of Candlewick has never been a quiet place. There are rumours and stories. Stories about a special race of people known as The Gifted. These people have the ability to see ghosts.

See them...
Talk to them...
Maybe even control them.

The ruler of Candlewick, Baron Godfrey, doesn't trust these people as far as he can throw them. If The Gifted really do exist, he says, then there is no reason to trust someone who can communicate with things nobody else can see. They could take over the world with their powers if they wanted to.

If someone is believed to have ghost-seeing abilities, they are given a swift execution - with or without evidence.

The Gifted who live in Candlewick are always at risk of death if they powers are discovered. Life here is dangerous.

But some people also suspect that the Baron HIMSELF may be hiding something; a dark secret that threatens the entire kingdom...

RP TIMES

RPs will be held on Saturday evenings, BST timezone. They will be posted somewhere around 7PM and finish a few hours later, when my house wifi gets turned off.

I won't be able to host the RPs on any other day, so you'll need to be able to make Saturdays if you want to join.

REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN

1. You should be somebody I know (at the very least, we should have talked at some point before).
2. You must be comfortable with all these themes:
- Mild to moderate fantasy violence
- Swearing
- Possible sexual references (there will not be anything explicit)

CHARACTER RULES

Each person can have up to 3 characters. This limit will probably be removed later on in the RP, but I don't want too many characters in the beginning.

Characters can be pretty much any humanoid species, including:
- Regular humans
- Ghosts
- Vampires, werewolves, witches, and other fantasy races
- Shapeshifters

Shapeshifting characters should always have a human form.

Magic-using characters are allowed, as long as there aren't OP.

People who can see ghosts (the Gifted) are rare. To reinforce this, you can only have a maximum of 1 character who can see them (not counting characters who actually are ghosts).

If your character can use magic, then you can give them almost any abilities you can think of, though I will be checking all characters to make sure they're not overpowered. A few things I wouldn't allow include:
- Immortality/invincibility
- Extremely powerful destructive abilities (we don't need characters who are capable of killing dozens of people with a single attack XD)
- Characters who can use mind-control/possession (controlling others' characters without their permission is not allowed)

If you have any questions about anything, don't hesitate to ask.

Oh, and one more thing: I won't automatically let in anyone who asks to join! In about a week's time, I'll make another post with a list of everyone who's been chosen. I don't want a group that's too overcrowded. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANY CHARACTER REFS UNTIL I'VE ACCEPTED YOU INTO THE GROUP.

This RP sounds very interesting, but I don't think I'm quite interested enough to consider joining, I might silently snoop around the sessions when they come out though... if that's ok 'XP

Hmm, intriguing plot. I'm definitely interested, but I'm not sure who I'd use just yet. XD
