After going through with the plan him and Codi made with Codi being gone, he fell into a state of depression and felt broken. He was hostile towards others and was tired of everything he cared about dying or being taken away. He wanted to just go away from what he thought was a meaningless life, it took a kitten to show him that the way he was viewing life was wrong. Tiberius (Tiber for short) was a 2 month old kitten, who had never met his parents, had scolded Tobias about being sad and told him that there was a lot more to life than what Tobias was thinking, Tobias thanked the little kitten. After being with the kitten for a few weeks a storm hit and they were separated by a flood, he was angry that the kitten was gone too. He refused to be sad and angry after that, and was friendly and nice to everyone. He never forgot about the kitten and hopes to find Tiberius again.
