After Valene died from a fatal illness, Joey Drew took up SillyVision, and made way for Joey Drew Studios. Experimenting with the Ink Machine, he brought all three of the original characters to life. Soon enough though, Drew decided to redesign the characters to what they are now(Alice has horns, Bendy is shorter, ect.). The original designs, however, were never removed, and they were left in a secret room to be forgotten. They were all self aware. The staff of Joey Drew Studios were told if they saw any model sheets of the original designs to dispose of them, as they were only "concept" designs. Boris and Alice's original model sheets were thrown away and destroyed, causing their physical forms to melt away from existence. Bendy, or Charmer's original model sheet, however, was never found. The sight of his friends fading made Charmer emotionally unstable, and as his abandoned model sheet deteriorated over the years, so did he.
