Well Excuuuse Me! by Athens
#Athen2 As usual with newcomers, the stallion did a double-yake when he saw the huge tree marking the center of the forest. Also, as usual, the staring in awe. The tree had no leaves only vines curling every which way. Like a enormous(sp?) spider inhabited it. Athens only flicked her tail when the stranger made a small curse under his breath. Ah, but once it dark enough, then he was impressed! Little blue spots of light appeared smiling down with their soft light.

"Have any cake in this cart?" She yelled, startling the stallion out of his trance. Sure, it was the rude way to do things, but cake seemed more important than him enjoying the flowers. "Er, yeah- yes I do marble." the stallion(she decided to him Two until further notice) rather awkwardly. Mm, marble?! She licked her lips. /Wonder what kind of icing it has!/ she thought but didn't bother to ask. Soon the arrived at the base of the tree. "Tonight we shall feast!" Athens called out and Theo made a /chuk/ of agreement.

Two looked at Athens crossly. She knew what he was thinking. /But I have to make the travel back, you can't my supply, blah blah blah.../ These kind of things were usual. Now to the food! Apples, carrots, cornbread and...cherries? Cherries! They were the darker kind too! Oh, these were so rare when it came to the passerby around here. Yes, she'd keep the seeds this time- for sure.

"Eh, why don't you use your magic to speed things up a bit?" Two asked as Athens was taking out the plates. "Well excuuuse me! Who said I was makin' your dinner anyways?" she retorted raising her mouth in a half snarl before returning to her task. Magic was for lazy ponys who can't get their jobs done. She shrugged it off mentally, no need tto run into topics like that. After her meal was set Athens noticed Two slinking over to what was left in the caravan. Good thing she didn't have to cook anything; she couldn't do it to save her life. It also meant that she took most of the food that that didn't need to be made. Apparently, what /was/ left didn't satisfy Two at all . Oh well, she would have given him some pf her surplus if he wasn't whining half the time like a filly.

Really, Two should be grateful she didn't just leave him out in the open to starve! Or tied him to a tree. Or broke his legs. Or any one of hundreds of things your average highway robber would do! Also your lighting is awesome, I love how you shade things, omg jelous jealous jealous!

I got most of my shading skills from purplekecleon's 'How I see Color' on deviantart. Her tutorial is pretty awesome!

PK really does do some beautiful work, but I didn't know they'd made a tutorial! I'll go check it out!
