Dark Brink likes to cheat the system.
While both he and his sibling are able to see into the future with the power of souls under their care, Dark uses some of these powerful souls to boost his own vision into events, despite already having more power than Light Brink. He dubs these beings Seers.
Seers have a white coloured mark of Dark Brink's either on the back of their neck or between their shoulder blades, much like the one the spirit himself gains when shifting into various forms. This shows how the Seers are merely extensions of himself and are no longer free-thinking proxies.
The Seers are often the children of proxies that share their parent's magical traits, which allows Dark Brink to get into them and make them his. Some are told to embrace it. Some are told to fear it. Some, like Catacus and Ango, are lucky to have escaped that fate.
The Seers will appear to Dark Brink and Mortikai when they see anything significant in their futures, such as when Paranorm's old apprentice Snakepaw was seen to be part of a rebellion against the darl spirit, which caused actions to be taken to eliminate the young cat.
It was also a Seer who, in the Sanctuary universe, told Mortikai about Ango working with (not for) the Sanctuary to find out more about the White Stag and the Brinks, as she had found out that her father had something to do with them and was searching for him.

Side note: It was when Mortikai learned of his family from the Seer that he truly began to question Dark Brink's motives and directives. After all, a hundred years of manipulation is sure to make you wonder if what you're being told is true, and if what you're not being told is really for your own protection.

Woaah. o_o
I really like this (the Seer creature and the writing). I can see you've put a lot of thought into it. It was really interesting to read through.
So, some of your characters exist in multiple different universes, like mine do? XD

Reply: That's really cool! And that's a lot of universes to keep track of. XD
Not all of my character live in different universes, but Armin and Sargon exist in two (Earth and Shacklestone), Sheldon exists in at least four, and I've lost count for Crowley. XD

Dang, the description has some of the deepest lore I've ever read since The Wyoming Incident.
