So it turns out some of my colleagues out here are also nerds. So to pass the time while we're all away from our families we've started up a D&D campaign. I'm terrible at creating a decent D&D character i actually connect with on the spot, so I took a character I already had and made her a catfolk.
Hurray alternate universes!
Her story is reminescent of her normal one, with some twists.
She was a powerful leader of a group of catfolk known as the Fire Tribe. She led Fire Tribe for many moons and had the awe of many. Then she led her tribe in battle with a rival tribe, and many of her people died. The remaining survivors turned on her, blaming Andromeda for their deaths. Shocked by their turning on her and guilt ridden from the losses, Andromeda stepped down and exiled herself. She swore that somewhere out there, she would make up for the lives lost. She would dedicate herself to bringing goodness and hope back into the world, and save as many other good people as she could on her adventure.
But then she ran into a powerful evil wizard, and she got ahead of herself when she challenged him. Andromeda was beaten, and the wizard placed a powerful curse on Andromeda that reset her level and skills back to lowly level 1.
Defeated -physically and emotionally- Andromeda gave up the adventuring lifestyle and aimed to settle down to try and enjoy her old age. But life would see it differently, as her town began to be subject to strange attacks by the undead...
