Beatrice and Venessa were actually friends as kids. They both had a fascination for insects, Beatrice for bees, and Venessa liked wasps. But when Beatrice got her powers from Emperess Bee, she started to spend less time with Venessa, due to her duties.

Feeling a bit hurt, and mostly betrayed, Venessa wondered what could she be doing that was so important. When she witnessed her transform, she was shocked! Noticing her, Beatrice then told her what she was doing now, and naturally, Venessa went on the offensive.
"So I'm yesterday's news, now"?

"No, that's not what I-".

"Save it. Go be a dumb bee. I'm out".

A few years later, Venessa, still bitter about the whole thing, stumbled upon an injured wasp. She picked it up, and fixed its broken wing. That's when she heard it say: "Thanks".
She almost threw it in fear. :'D The wasp simply flew a ways, and beckoned her to follow it. Weird? Yes. Still gonna do it? Sure, why not?

Venessa followed it into a cave, where a HUGE swarm of wasps was ready to sting the intruder! Luckily, the one who was leading her called them off, and told her what she did for it. Slowly, they parted.
The Queen Wasp came down from the hive, and inspected Venessa. "...Yes, she'll make a good general", she said. She then gave her a choice. She could leave, or become her first human wasp general... Sounds good, eh?

Venessa was gonna decline, but then she thought about how Beatrice just up and left her... She could get back at her now!
So she accepted, and thus, the Wasp General, Venessa was born.

Just an 'on the fly' story. :'D You guys have maybe some different idea on how these two could've been enemies, like bees and wasps are?
