Rust Valkier by FadingGlory
Well, didn't this take long enough. So sorry @turtlee for the long wait! Here is your Rust Valkier! Tip for coloring: take gray, red, and orange, and throw them everywhere. If it's too challenging, let me know!
The Rust variant begins as a metallic dragon, though its body decays into rust as it ages. However, it continuously grows new layers of metallic scales beneath the rust, so its body remains solid and firm.
This variant is responsible for the decomposition of metals. It has a special dust-like breath that causes metal to rust - and when inhaled, will corrode the lungs and throat. Scraping against this Valkier's body can get rust in the blood, which is also deadly. It lives in Jotunheim, a mountainous realm.

Such a cool concept! I've never seen someone turn the theme of rust into a dragon design, but it's a great idea and turned out awesome!!

Ooh, that's both very interesting to learn about! And I understand that too, there's a lot of dragon shapeshifters today XP Plus, I feel it fits their god-like nature more. :3 Asterion wouldn't want to shapeshift even if he had the chance, but his sister... might end up going to the point of harming herself if it means being able to be anything other than a dragon. (I'm hoping I can get over this stinking art block soon so I can draw even a quick picture of her, that way we can finally talk about everything 'XD )
I'm really excited to see a lore post for this species! But at the same time, the more I learn about Valkiers, the more I realize I'm going to need to completely remake Asterion's backstory and life in general X'D

Ahh, thank you Fade! I'll try to keep it in line with what you have still, maybe work out a balance so it's still similar to my original story. Though I'll admit right now, since I had always planned for Asterion and Amariel to be involved with Von one way or another, it's not so much my world as much as it is Shadow's. 'XD

The projects are fun, don't get me wrong, but having to buy the supplies for each gets costly and with so many going on it gets a little crazy.

re: No, but i think my parents are getting a little angry about buying so many. Like i needed pool noodles for one of my projects so they went out and got three, but we have to buy more because turns out i didn't have enough xD

re I tend to go over board with projects, like i had to draw a street view with a few stores and i basically ended up drawing main street and a very difficult view point haha
