Realising that she was losing energy, Ana panicked and kicked out hard, using her large back-foot claws to tear a deep wound in Dianne's stomach. Immediately after this, she began to fall as she lost the energy to keep flapping her wings, her huge deadweight threatening to pull Dianne down with her. 'AaaaaAAAAAAAH!' she screeched.

'Ana's going down!' Armin exclaimed. 'I wonder what happened?'

Sheldon emerged from the shower less than ten minutes later, got dressed and hurried out to look for Tochi. 'Um, are we going now?' he called out, not knowing where in the house she was.

Ivy walked forwards, looking unconcerned as she approached the tree where Wendigo slept. Taking a deep breath, she suddenly yelled out, 'Sargon is a huge idiot and a terrible excuse for a person and I bet he's really ugly too!'

Wendigo's eyes snapped open. The dragon stared at Ivy as if she was mad.

(Oh, hey there King!)

{Dianne winced in response to the wound. Instead of letting go, Dianne held on, draining, purposely falling with Ana, Steering them both right towards the top of a building, Ana first.}

Jerry:”What is she doing? Pull up!”

Tochi entered the room. "Yeah, we just finished getting everything ready," she confirmed. "If you've done everything you need to do, we can go." She sounded quite excited.

(Aggron)

Ana snarled in fury as they hit the top of the building. The roof collapsed under the combined weight of the two dragons, and they began to fall through. Clawing viciously at Dianne, she tried to cast Ward to push her away but didn't have enough energy left to perform the difficult spell.

'Well, it looks like Ana's lost,' said Armin. 'I kind of expected that.'

'Hey,' Crowley complained, standing on his toes to get a better look. 'I can't see them anymore. That sucks.'

(Draco)

'Really? Well... I think I'm ready.' Sheldon was excited too, but he was also nervous. He hadn't ever travelled so far from home before. But home lay behind them in ruins now. 'Do your grandparents have a car or something?'

Ruscar howls in pain, half debating on the knife out. Either way, he was going to bleed. He turns his attention to where the knife flew from, a deep growl rumbling in his throat.
"I don't care which of those idiots sent you, if you had any sense of getting vengence you'd leave me be!"

With the werewolf's attention off them, Ango slowly paces backwards, keeping Emilia behind her. She looks to Jed and Toby, beckoning them over with a hand gesture.

Mortikai stalks through the town, searching for the technomancer. He had spoken to a couple of patrols he had passed, to see if they had seen her once he had conviced them that he was on their side (for the moment, anyway). After gaining a general direction, he heads towards what seemed like where the distant howls and screeches of battles were coming from, which didn't make the situation feel very safe at all. Shifting into his housecat form, he leaps up onto a wall, keeping his eyes and ears keen for any sounds of machinery.

"Yeah, they've got a muddy Jeep. It works well enough!" she laughed slightly, then headed to the front door. "We're gonna drive all the way to the other end of the country and find a new life, and Sargon won't follow us there."

'Mhm.. hopefully...' With a small sigh, Sheldon ran a hand through his hair and followed her outside. He had no idea how long it would take them to get to the Old Kingdom in a car. Hours. Days, maybe. It was a long way away, and the terrain was difficult in places, according to the maps he'd seen.

Tochi lead the way over to the Jeep parked crookedly on the driveway. Henry and Caroline were already inside and so was all the bits and pieces they'd packed.

(I'm assuming they have a trailer or something? or they must've not packed much if they can fit all of it and four people in the car-)

(Draco - Well Jeeps are quite big, they have like 5 seats and a big space in the back
And I don't think they'd take much, it would be like packing for a holiday. I imagine they have a few suitcases that could squish into the back of the car)

Sheldon ran his eye over the Jeep. 'It's muddy,' he said, which was a perfectly reasonable observation. He went over to the back door and wiped some grime off the window so he could peer inside. He decided to wait until everyone else got in before he did. 'Is there, um, plenty of room?'

"Enough room for us and the stuff to fit pretty comfortably," Tochi replied, swinging the back door open and climbing up into the car. She settled in the right-side seat. The seat in the middle was occupied by Richard Slug's tank, leaving the left seat open for Sheldon.

Sheldon opened the door and gingerly climbed up, casting a look towards the slug tank. As he pulled his door shut, he couldn't help but notice Henry behind the wheel. 'Um... he's driving?' he whispered, leaning towards Tochi so only she could hear.

"It definitely looks like it," Tochi said. "I wouldn't worry, though - he might be silly, but he'll pay attention to driving."

"You two ready to set off?" Henry asked, oblivious to their conversation.

'Uhmm, yes!' said Sheldon in a squeaky voice. He gripped the door handle, not knowing what this was going to be like, but anticipating that Henry would probably be an awful driver and they would get bumped around everywhere.

'Uh, hey,' he ventured nervously, turning to Tochi, 'I have this...' He reached into his pocket and withdrew a box containing a miniature Monopoly set. 'I found it lying around in there, and uhm, I picked it up.'

(Everyone else is ded.)

Henry started up the car and pulled out of the drive.

"Oh, good thinking, we can play it during the journey!" Tochi looked at the little box. "I just have a pack of cards with me." She dug around in her pocket and took out a box of playing cards.

(King - Hmm, I'd say around midnight / very early hours of the morning? I guess anywhere from 12AM to 2AM.)

'I thought about cards, too,' said Sheldon. 'But I didn't see any lying about.' He opened the Monopoly box and started assembling it, moving the slug tank carefully onto the floor by his feet, so he could set up the game on the middle car seat. 'Do you know any card games?'

Dianne gets right in Anastasia's face to utter one last threat.}"This is it for you. Don't worry, I'll take //good// care of Sargon." {With a devilish grin, Dianne dissipates to smoke as the building comes crashing down on top of Ana.}

{Jerry sees the building collapse.} "Sh!t! C'mon!" {Jerry takes off running.}

The building came down, the noise audible across the entire city as hundreds of tons of brick, stone, and metal came crashing to the ground. When everything finally settled, the building was gone, and nothing remained but a massive pile of rubble which Ana was seemingly buried under.

Armin ran after Jerry, easily keeping pace. He glanced over his shoulder to see if Eliza was coming with them, then turned back to Jerry. 'Hey!' he shouted. 'You can't go into a collapsing building! Do you have a death wish?'

"I can play Poker, I think," she said, watching him set up the game,

'Mmhm,' said Sheldon. He dug the little silver playing pieces out of the box. 'I'll be the... dog,' he said, mouth twitching into a tiny smile at his own private joke.

{Jerry didn't actually enter the building. He stopped about ten meters from the rubble. From the dust cloud, walks a heavilly wounded Dianne, in human form. She was holding her wounded stomach and bleeding from numerous places. Clearly, the wound translation from form to form didn't go well.}
Dianne: "The fu#$....you looking at?"

'Woah.' Armin came to a halt and dropped back a step, clearly uncertain about being so close to Dianne when she was injured and in a bad mood. He decided to let Jerry do the talking.

{The Illusionist first makes sure Ruscar's attention is on him. Then, he tilts his head towards Ango.}"Little girl, gather your friends and leave this place. The death of this mutt is not a suitable sight for a young lady."

{Jerry couldn't help grinning.}"Jeeze, Dianne, you rekt that b!tch!"
Dianne:"Well, no sh!t. I'm an evil 3000 years in the making. I've been compromised."
{Shifting into dragon form, she looks down on the group.}
"Get on."

'What?' said Armin, staring up at the massive dragon.

"Nice," Tochi laughed, selecting the hat. "Shame there's not a 'regular human' piece, huh?"

Sheldon gave a small nervous laugh while glancing at Tochi's grandparents, not wanting them to work out what he was talking about. 'Um, I'll go first.' He threw the miniature dice and rolled a four. He moved his dog across the board and motioned for Tochi to take the dice.

(I've forgotten the name of every place in Monopoly except Marleybone Station)

Tochi took the dice, rolled a three and moved the silver hat along. She glanced up out the window and watched the world zoom by for a few seconds.

Sheldon rolled again and moved his dog forwards two spaces. 'I'll buy, uhhm, King's Cross Station,' he said, putting some of his fake money aside and taking the card to show he'd bought the spot. 'So,' he added in an attempt to be conversational, 'I'm guessing you've never travelled this far either?'

Keenan leaps out of the window, narrowly avoiding the dogs and quickly saying a sorry while waiting for Thorn to join them.

Ango grimaces slightly, far too glad that someone had come to help, although she was confused as to where it came from.
"I've probably seen worse."
She says simply, taking her mum's hand and starting to run off, not even in the direction of the city gates, just anywhere would be better.

Barking quietly, Toby takes off after them, though moves in a wide circle around Ruscar and the Illusisimpl, still a little terrified.

(WAIT I JUST REALISED HOW DID I SPELL ILLUSIONIST SO WRONG SSXCBJKNBDXCB)

"Hahaaah! Down go the dragons! Woo!"
Mia cheers happily from her perch, having watched the massive fight from afar.
"Aaaand the blue dragon is down! Victory goes toooo ...death dragon!"
She grins, acting like an announcer for some kind of fighting sport.

Mortikai pads along the roof, leaping up to the chimney where she's sat.
"Yes, quite interesting, is it not?"

Mia yelps, terrifed by the sudden creature sitting next to her and it's voice. She almost falls off, but manages to catch herself.
"Alright, what's the big-"
She starts, then freezes as she recognizes the feline form of Mortikai, a slight grin on his muzzle.
"M-mortikai! Heeeeyyyy, uh, how's-how's it going?"

"Oh, you know, just searching for someone that has been betraying Dark Brink for someone...inferior to his power. And is even under it."
He says, acting somewhat blazé about the situation.

{Dianne rolls her eyes at Armin while Jerry, Eliza, and the Old Man waste no time clambering onto her back.}
Dianne: "My god, how thick are you? Sargon knows I've been working against him, so we need to leave! If you'd rather walk all the way back to base, suit yourself, but don't come b!tch!ng to me if Sargon catches and kills you!" {She snapped at Armin, clearly sick of the night she was having.}

{Vitis laughs out loud at the conclusion of the fight!} "Hahahahahah! Fatality! Red eyes wins! That was pretty great, eh, Crowley?"

{The Illusionist points his blade at Ruscar.} "So, mutt, I will let you choose your fate. Death, or exile?"

{Jerry's family holds position, hidden in place, waiting to see what the dragon does.}

(Aggron - He wasn't watching as such, but as he communicates telepathically with Ana, he'll soon know what happened, when he reaches out to her and doesn't feel her mind.)

'Geez. No need to shout.' Armin walked around to Dianne's side and climbed onto her back behind the others. 'For all I knew, you might have been planning to take us two hundred feet up and then drop us.

(Aggron)

Crowley snorted. 'Yeah, well, it was a pretty predictable fight,' he said. 'It was obvious that the red-eyed one had the advantage the whole time.' He glanced around and spotted Armin and Co. leaving on Dianne's back. 'Huh. They're leaving.' He gave a sudden huge yawn. 'You know what, I don't care about following them anymore. I'm gonna go back to my apartment and sleep for a bit. I've been running for like, three nights.'

Wendigo just kept on staring at Ivy. Then, after a long moment, he spoke. 'Who the hell are you? I'm just trying to sleep and there's what, an anti-Sargon protest going on down there?' He seemed rather unconcerned by it, only annoyed that he'd been woken up.

The werewolves watched through the hole in the door. 'Hey look, there's some humans. I told you this place wasn't completely deserted.'

{Dianne gives a low growl in response to Armin's remark.} "My methods aren't always pretty, but they get the job done." {Spreading her massive wings, Dianne takes to the skies, heading for the forest.}

{Vitis nods.} "Ok. See ya then. I'll catch up later. I want to see when they dig up the blue one. "

{Two of Jerry's family, hidden together, look at each other, a bit confused about Windego not attacking immediately.}

Armin didn't respond, peering over Dianne's side and watching the city landscape rushing past. //We still need to do something about that Liquid Death thing,// he realised, and wondered if everyone else had forgotten about it.

Crowley nodded and raised a hand in farewell before turning and heading back towards his apartment for the night.

Ivy g;anced back at the family, then returned her attention to Wendigo. 'Anti-Sargon protest?' she repeated, her voice a little higher than usual from nerves. 'Yes, that's right! We're against Sargon! Are you with us or against us?!'

Wendigo snarled. 'I don't give a crap who you are. Go away and let me sleep.' With that, he closed his eyes, effectively ending the conversation.

Ivy walked back to Jerry's family. 'See? He's not hurting anyone.'

{Jerry figured that Dianne was headed for the forest base.} "Hey, Dianne, we need to go to Riverside, not this base."
Dianne: "Fine, but I need to pick something up first." {Landing in the woods a fair distance from the base, Dianne yells out in an unknown language. About a minute later, a draugr rushes forth, carrying a large greatsword and a duffle bag. The draugr was Magnus, who was ordered to retreat earlier in the fight.}
Magnus: "Oof, Dianne, she really did a number on you. I knew you should have put on your armor."
Dianne: "You should have seen the other girl. She's dead. Now come on, we don't have all night."
{Grabbing Magnus up in her hand, she takes off again, headed for Riverside.}

{Sarah rolled her eyes. Leaving her rifle in the bushes, Sarah approaches Wendigo instead.} "Hey! What the he.ll are you doing here? Are going to bring that army of monsters to my home, to kill everyone I love?"

(Aggron)

Wendigo opened his eyes again. 'No,' he said shortly. 'Look, yes, we're from Sargon's army. But we're not here to cause problems. As soon as your friends Jeremiah and Armin get here, we'll explain everything. Don't jump to the conclusion that we're here to kill you.'

(Aggron)

Not questioning why Dianne had just picked Magnus up instead of letting him ride on her back, Armin continued watching the scenery. 'There's the river,' he said unnecessarily, spotting the twisting length of water that flowed past Riverside. 'The village looks quiet, I guess everyone evacuated.'

{Jerry calls ahead on his phone, so the group doesn't get shot at upon arrival. Landing in front of the hotel, Dianne lets everyone off before shifting back to human form. Walking forward, she staggers a bit, catching herself on the wall.}
Jerry: "Dianne? You ok-"
Dianne: "I'm fine!" {She snaps.} "I'm fine..."

{Walking back, a bit confused, Sarah glares at Ivy before pulling out a phone.}"This proves nothing!" {She hissed. Dialing, she calls Jerry's mom, and lets her know the situation.}

Armin eyed Dianne uncertainly. 'Sure you are,' he said with a touch of sarcasm. 'Look, just because you killed another necromancer dragonshifter doesn't mean you're invincible.' He glanced around. 'I can smell Ivy and someone else nearby.' Suddenly, he tensed. 'And a dragon.'

Ivy folded her arms and glared right back at Sarah. 'And maybe you ought to stop assuming that every non-human is out to kill you,' she hissed, managing to not add anything about racism, though she wanted to.

{Dianne just hatefully glares at Armin before pushing off the wall and heading for the building.}
Jerry: "Hey, Dianne, find my uncle Steven. He's a doctor, he'll help you out."
{Dianne gave only a grunt in reply as she headed inside. Jerry perked up at Armin's statement. Before he could say anything, his mother came out while on the phone to greet them.}
Jerry's mom:"Uh huh, ok, yeah, they just got back. It's for you."
{She hands Jerry the phone}
Jerry: "Hello?"
Sarah: "We've got a....situation..."
Jerry: "What's going on?"
Sarah: "One of Sargon's goons is here, a dragon. He didn't attack us on sight. He said he wants to talk to you and the vampire, I think he's a messenger."
Jerry: "How big?"
Sarah: "Not big, a 15 footer."
Jerry: "Alright, we're on our way."
{Handing his mom back the phone, he turns back to the group.}
Jerry: "Seems that Sargon sent us a messenger. Let's go see what this is all about."

(Aggron)

'Alright,' said Armin. //A Sargon minion that didn't attack them on sight? Maybe he's a scout, or he's clever enough to wait for a good opportunity to strike.//

{Jerry goes with the group to go see Wendigo. Stopping about twenty feet from Wendigo, Jerry addresses him.} "Alright, what's this all about?"

(Aggron)

'You came back earlier than we expected,' said Wendigo, sounding annoyed. 'We thought you'd be back by morning.'

'It doesn't matter,' said another voice. The door of the old inn swung open and Frederick emerged, flanked by two snarling, transformed werewolves. He slowly walked forwards, hands raised in a gesture of peace. 'Jeremiah and Armin, I'm assuming?' His cold voice carried a hint of curiosity as he ran his gaze over them.

{Jeremiah turns to look at Frederick, warrily eying the wolves.}
"That's right. Who wants to know?"

(Aggron)

Frederick glanced at everyone else as if to make sure they weren't about to attack him, then addressed Jerry directly.

'Well, officially, I've been ordered by the Count to bring you in or kill you. He believes that you're plotting against him. But I'm not actually here to do that.' He took a deep breath. 'I'm here to offer my services and to tell you exactly where I stand. I'm a double agent, feigning loyalty to Sargon while actually working to bring down his army and plans from the inside.'

(Aggron)

'Wait, huh?' muttered one of the werewolves stupidly. Apparently they hadn't known any of this.

{Jerry blinks a few times in surprise.}
".....wut?"
Old man: "If you're a 'double agent', then who are you really working for?
Eliza: "And what have you done to bring down Sargon?"

(Aggron)

'I'm not working for anyone,' said Frederick. 'I suppose you could call me more of a saboteur. And as for what I've done so far to bring him down, well. not much. I only joined his army a few days ago. But I know your group is trying to destroy him too, and I'd be willing to help. I can tell you things he's planning, and he'll never know.'

From the tree behind the inn, Wendigo flew down and landed a few feet away from Frederick. He yawned, looking bored, but not surprised like the werewolves.

{Jerry takes a moment to think.}
"Hm, I see. Will you excuse us for a moment?"
{Taking Armin, Old man, and Eliza out of earshot, he starts to discuss.}
Jerry: "What do you all think? Can we trust him?
Old Man: "I don't think so. His excuse is too convenient. He //just// joined up, and decides to stop him? I think he's a mole, sent by Sargon."
Eliza: "But what if he isn't? We could be missing out on some juicy intel."

{Sarah stayed with Frederick, never taking her eyes off of him.}"....So, You want to bring down Sargon, do you? Other than your supposed intel, what exactly do you bring to this cause?"

(Aggron)

Armin went with Jerry, but didn't answer his question. He looked distracted, and kept glancing back at Frederick, an odd expression on his face, like he was struggling to remember something.

Frederick tilted his head. 'If there was anything else you wanted me to do, then I could look into it. Providing it doesn't ruin my cover, of course. But personally, I think that being able to give you information on all of Sargon's intentions and movements in this 'game' is enough for you to accept me as an ally.'

{Jerry looks at Armin, a bit confused.}
Jerry: "...Well, I say we hear what he's got to say, but we keep him at arm's reach. We let him feed us intel, but don't divulge anything too important about our plans to him. Care to weigh in here, Armin?"

(Aggron)

'...Huh?' Armin looked back at Jerry, clearly having not paid attention to the conversation. 'Oh, sorry. Yes, I think we should let him help us, but shouldn't fully trust the intel he sends us - for all we know, he might be planning to feed us fake information that'll help Sargon.' He glanced at Frederick again. 'Sorry, he just looked... weirdly familiar. Did he say what his name was?'

{Jerry and the Old Man shoot each other a concerned look.}
Jerry: "Frederick. You know him?"

(Aggron)

Immediately the blood drained from Armin's face, and he stood there looking dumbstruck. 'Frederick?' He stared at the other vampire, aghast and disbelieving. 'Frederick... That's my son!!'

Jerry and Old Man in unison: "What?"
Jerry: "You told me that after Sargon made you abandon your family, that your family all died of old age. Aren't there gravestones?"

(Aggron)

'Yes... I've seen them.' Armin looked puzzled. 'But maybe Frederick never really died. The gravestone must be empty.'

At that, Frederick spoke up, his voice cold. 'I was bitten by a vampire several years after you 'disappeared'. We all thought you were dead. After I was turned, Sargon tried to make me join him, and that's when I found out that /you/ were still alive. But I wouldn't work for him. I ran away and went into hiding so that he could never find me. My family... they thought I had died, just like you did.' Pain flashed across his expression. 'Then, three days ago, I came back to work for Sargon in hopes of bringing him down in revenge.'

{Jerry turned to look at Frederick, then back to Armin.} "There's only one way to be sure. Where's the grave?"

(Aggron)

'Northeast side of this vilage,' said Frederick. 'There's a church and an old graveyard.'

Armin looked askance at Jerry. 'What are you going to do - dig it up?'

{Jerry nods and pulls out his phone.} "That's exactly what we're going to do."
{Dialing a number, Jerry puts the phone to his ear.}
Uncle Steven: "Hello, Jerry?
Jerry: "Uncle. What's Dianne's condition?
Uncle: "Stable, but in pain. I was about to give her a sedative to help her sleep."
Jerry: "Can she walk?"
Uncle: "Well yes. She's standing right now, giving orders to some draugrs that just arrived, despite my orders to rest. Why?"
Jerry: "Tell her to meet us at the cemetery in the north part of town, it's important."
Uncle: "What? Why? After a fight like that, she shouldn't be moving around too much."
Jerry: "Just do it, Uncle, this can't wait."
{With that, Jerry hangs up.}
Jerry: "Let's go."

'Grave robbing? We're reaching all new lows here,' Armin muttered. 'Well, at least there won't be anything in it. Hey, I'll show you all where it is.'

With that, he took the lead, heading for the church on the north of Riverside. Frederick muttered something to Wendigo, and then the dragon took off and headed back towards Shacklestone. Frederick then followed Armin, bringing up the rear of the group.

"Wait a minute!" {Sarah calls out.} "Where's that dragon going?"

Frederick gave her a contemptuous, but not hostile, look. 'Relax. I sent him back to give some fake reports to Sargon and to tell him that we'll be staying here a while longer. If he doesn't hear from me in a long time, he'll start to get suspicious.'

{Sarah just frowns at Frederick. Arriving at the cemetery, the group is met by Dianne, four of her draugrs, and Uncle Steven. Dianne is wearing one of her dresses, but the bandages on her wounds are fairly obvious.} Dianne: "This had better be good."{Noticing Frederick , Dianne gives him a look of distrust.} Dianne: "Who's that?"
Jerry: "That's Frederick, Armin's supposed son."
Dianne: "Really, Jerry? You're trusting another one of Sargon's sh!tsuckers? My god, if you don't have a knife in your back, by the end of this, I'd be surprised. "
Jerry: "Hey, that's rude. Besides, that's why you're here. Armin's son supposedly died, so either his grave is empty, or there's someone else in it. Armin, where's the grave?"

'Hey, stop saying 'supposedly,' Armin complained. 'I think I can recognise my own kid.' Frederick scowled at that, but nobody was paying attention to him. Armin stepped across the graveyard to a particularly old-looking, grey stone. The inscription wasn't even visible. 'This is the right one.'

{With a word, one of Dianne's draugrs grabs the shovel out of Jerry's hands and starts rapidly digging the grave. Within a few minutes, the casket was uncovered.} Jerry: "Alright, Armin, open it. "

In the background, Frederick watched without interest as Armin gingerly opened the casket. There was nothing inside. 'It's as I told you,' he said. 'My family must've held a funeral for Fred after he went missing, thinking he had died just like me. They didn't know he was still alive.'

'I wanted to go back to them,' added Frederick in a quiet tone. 'But /Sargon/ would have captured me if he found me, and he'd have murdered our family as well.'

{Dianne scrutinizes the casket, finding no sign of a body. Jerry scratches his chin.} Jerry: "Alright, Fred, your story seems plausible. Let's go sit down and have a chat. There are a few things I'd like to know, and a few things you ought to know before you go back. Sargon's about to get hit by a plague. You catch it, you die."

(Aggron)

'A plague?' Frederick repeated, looking worried. 'I never heard anything about that, so Sargon must not know either... in that case, let's go and talk.' Armin nodded in agreement and returned the casket to underneath the gravestone, kicking some dirt over it.

'Lucky everyone left the village,' he muttered, 'and no-one's around to see us digging up graves.'

{Jerry walks away with the group. Dianne's draugrs don't all come along, however. Three of the four stay behind in the graveyard.}

{Arriving at an open building, Jerry asks Fred to sit.} "Ok. So, what's Sargon's next move?"

'The last I heard, he was sending his right-hand, Anastasia, to attack Dianne.' Frederick directed a quick glance at Dianne as he spoke, acknowledging her presence. 'I had already left for Riverside when he mentioned that, so I don't know what happened, but I'm guessing Ana lost.'

'She did,' said Armin. He was leaning against a wall, watching. 'We saw her get buried under five floors of office block.'

'Anyway,' said Frederick. 'From what I know, there's going to be a battle soon. Sargon plans to travel to Sovereign's City with his army, leaving only a skeleton force behind in Shacklestone. He intends to bring war to the King's doorstep in less than a week.'

{Jerry takes a moment to think.} "Hmm. Well, the way things are looking, Sargon won't get that far. To elaborate, I'll have to update all of you on the plague. Dianne, you awake?"
{Dianne had sat down and was already nodding off.}
Dianne: "Mmm, yes...curse, did you get it?"
Jerry: "No. The one who stole it already released it, and we were sidetracked when Ana attacked you. But, we do know who took it, and where to start looking for him."
{Jerry pulls out the property records he took from the city hall.} "His name is Oliver Morrow. He's kind of the biggest name in stage magic right now, and he's completely unhinged."

(Aggron)

'Oh, yes, the plague,' said Armin. 'What are we planning to do about that, again? You have to stop it somehow. It'll kill the whole population if you don't.'

'Also,' Frederick interrupted, 'how exactly does this 'plague' work? Does it simply travel through the air and infect anyone who breathes it in? And what are the symptoms when you become infected? I imagine that some species have more resistance to it than others.'

(I just noticed Ivy hasn't spoken in like, an hour... that's really unlike her.)

Ruscar simply grins.
"You're not as smart as you think you are, are ya? Exile just means I get to kill them later, and the only death happening right now will be yours!"
With a growl, he whips his head around and pulls the knife from his neck, barely even flinching in pain as he flips it around in his jaws and pounces forwards to attack.

Mia freezes for a few moments, then gains a sort of smug attitude.
"Well, I know that Forrest and Ryker are part of Sargon's army, and they've been /very/ naughty. They haven't listened to him at all! Neither have Lila and Nate. I haven't done anything at all. I've been gathering intel, in fact. That's why I'm here."
"Intel? On what exactly? I'm sure there's nothing that you could tell us that the man in charge hasn't already. I mean...he is one of us now."
She sits in a stunned silence for a few moments.
"...I knew that."
Mortikai stares at her, dumbfounded but a little impressed of her confidence.
"Yeah, yeah I knew that. That's why I was only pretending to be fully into the army thing, yeah, I've been doing everything for the benefit of our cause!"
The feline shifter slowly stands, stretching for a moment.
"Well, if that's what you believe...Just so you know, Forrest and Ryker are dead. They were executed for their crimes against us. You were very close to taking Forrest's place, but our lord thought that you'd be more useful. Keep that in mind."
With that, Mortikai drops down from the chimney and starts to walk away.
"We'll be in touch."
"You got it Morty!~"
She waves him off, sounding a little too friendly.

{Dianne shakes herself awake, leans in, and speaks in a serious tone.} "This "plague" is actually a curse. It consists of the physical manifestation of my darkest emotions. I couldn't deal with them so I...spat them out...And now, this Oliver character has stolen it and released it upon the world." {Blinking a few times in what looks like regret, Dianne continues.} "It has the color and consistency of old blood, and travels through bodily fluids. It's highly contagious through physical contact. It will not become airborne unless it is burned. Fire spreads it, it cannot destroy it. At first, it will mimic the flu. A few hours later, the veins of the afflicted will start to turn black with loss of strength. At the end, the victim will begin to vehemently vomit blood, then die. From contraction to death is six hours across all species. Dolorus tested that rigorously.....After death, the curse will multiply within the corpse then begin to ooze out of it, furthering its spread. The only cure is if I recall it, but I can't do that over long distances. Now, since someone ratted me out, I can't get close enough to the curse to recall it without Sargon trying to kill me. So, any ideas on how to get me in there without getting me killed? By the way, if I die, the curse will not, and we lose the only cure."

"Very well." {Ducking under Ruscar, the Illusionist slices his stomach open and moves behind him. Taking the throwing knife he breaks the only street light, enveloping the whole area in darkness.} "I hereby exile you....to //hell//.

Everyone eyed Dianne seriously while she spoke. 'Well... I guess you could do what we did,' said Armin. 'Disguise yourself somehow. A really /good/ disguise. Sargon knows what you look like as a human, and other people might've seen you as a dragon. I don't suppose you can turn into anything else, can you?'

Ivy was sat on a chair, her head on her hands, clearly in deep thought.

{Dianne shakes her head.} "No. These forms are the only ones I have. I could try to disguise myself, but my eyes are fairly distinctive, and may give me away no matter what I do. I could cover them with something like a visor or sunglasses, assuming Sargon doesn't get wise to them."
Jerry: "Look, here's the situation: If we go during the day, we have a greater risk of detection, and we might have to deal with tons of Sargon's goons. If we go at night we have to fight the Oliver, as I don't think he'd be too keen to us recalling the curse. So, we need to decide. Who can we better combat? The force we can't overpower, or the man we can neither out speed or see?"

(Aggron)

Frederick made a small, thoughtful noise in the back of his throat. 'I would rather we take our chances with Sargon's troops. Three reasons why: Firstly, Sargon is already preparing his army to move out to Sovereign's City. Many of his soldiers are staying near Atlas Tower, as they could be ordered to march at any time. Secondly, most of his troops are extremely dim-witted, easy prey for a group of skilled fighters like you. Thirdly, come tomorrow morning, Sargon will discover the death of his right-hand Anastasia. That alone will distract him enough that he won't have his mind on you.'

Armin listened, then nodded slowly. 'That sounds alright. Honestly, I'd rather fight fifty minions that a guy who I can't see properly.'

{Jerry nods in agreement.} "Sounds good to me. I think we can handle that.
Old man: "Hm, seems like our best bet."
Eliza: "Alright, I'm in. Let's save the world."
Dianne: "Wait. We have no way of knowing just how much the curse has spread. If it has infected multiple individuals, odds are that at least one of them will be inside Atlas tower. In that case, we'd need to get inside right under Sargon's nose, or be forced to leave with the curse still at large. Frederick, in that case, could you get us in undetected?"

Frederick hesitated. 'Getting inside the tower is a whole different story from simply sneaking around the city. I think our best chance would be to wait until Sargon leaves the building to find Anastasia's body - which I've no doubt he will do. She was his right-hand and he'll want visual confirmation of her death. While he's gone, we can sneak inside. Most of his troops don't know what you look like, Dianne, so they won't recognise you.'

'They might still realise we're not part of the army, though,' said Armin.

Frederick nodded. 'I'll try to distract the troops, but I can't be seen helping you. Once you're inside the tower, it'll be up to you to find and destroy the curse.'

"Alright. We'll have to make due." {Dianne says, looking around at everyone.}
Jerry: "Alright then. We leave at dawn. We should all get what rest we can."

(Aggron)

'In that case, I'm going to bed,' Armin announced. 'I'll be at the hotel if anyone needs me. Cheerio.' He left the building.

Frederick stood up. 'I'll be going too.' Without another word, he left, heading back to the abandoned inn where he'd left his werewolf minions.

Ivy looked around, rolled her eyes, then went back to the hotel as well. 'God, I could sleep for twelve hours straight,' she muttered.

(Does anyone have anything else they need to finish? If not, we'll skip to morning!)

(Eh, as much as I want to, I think Ruscar still needs to die.)

(We'll wait for King to finish with Ruscar then. All my OCs are occupied now. I won't use Crowley until morning, Ivy, Armin and Frederick are sleeping, Sheldon is in a car with Tochi, Ana is still ded, and Sargon is... well, I'm not sure I want to know what he does in his spare time.)

(Well, to help pass the time, I could do the reaction of Sargon's men to losing their food. Again. XD)

{Nodding, the group disperses to get rest, waiting for the morning to make their next move.}

(Aggron - Sure, let's do a funny scene of that. XD We can both control the minions.)

It was the middle of the night, approaching dawn. Wendigo swooped down to Atlas Tower, shifted into his human form and let himself inside. He was weary from travelling and wanted to sleep.

(I gotta go, I'll reply tomorrow.)

{As Wendigo walks inside, an intense creaking is heard, followed by a earsplitting crash from the floors above and a lot of commotion. The source of the noise was their store room falling out through the floor, showering rotted, burned, and bug filled rations on the troops in the floor below, causing no end of chaos.}
"Oh, god, OH GOD! The BUGS! They're everywhere! They're biting me! Get them off, GET THEM OFF!"

(With the bugs, all I can think of is that one Stargate episode(?) where they go to the place with the bugs

Ruscar somehow manages to land on his feet despite the wound, standing there for a few moments as if to process what just happened, then falls to his side, body convulsing as it tries (and fails) to deal with such an injury. He chokes and splutters, glaring up at the human with hatred in his eyes.
"S-see...you...there..."
He manages to cough out, going limp as his convulsions slowly grind to a halt.

Wendigo frowned and quickened his pace. Reaching the room directly below the storeroom, he stood in the doorway and watched as the bugs flew everywhere.

'WHAT IN HELL IS GOING ON?' he yelled. 'WHO LET THESE THINGS IN AGAIN?! ARCHIE, YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE GUARDING THAT ROOM!'

Archie, who was a dragonshifter, wasn't there. He'd fled the tower at the first sign of the bugs. Wendigo face-palmed. 'I hate all of you.'

{The guy who was screaming comes running up to Wendigo, shreiking and flailing, covered in the bugs.} "AAAAAGGHH! HELP ME!"

{Oliver wastes no time in finishing off Ruscar. With a blow from the darkness, Oliver decapitates Ruscar, leaving his body headless, and in the street. looking to the sky, he sees that it is nearly dawn.} "Brink, my time is nearly up. Your assets are safe. I leave them in your capable hands." {With that, he retreats into the night, like a fleeting shadow.}
