I feel like i've been ignoring poor Mayze.
*clears throat* Back story time!
Mayze's parents were poor farmers. They didn't particularly love Mayze or care for her.
Well one year, the heat and dryness was really bad and all there crops were dying. Mayze was starving and she wanted to help her parents cause she thought she could get them to love her, so she prayed and prayed for rain. She thought about rain all day long and finnaly... cont.

It rained, it started out as a little sprinkle but it started raining harder and harder. It was the perfect rain, it didn't rain too hard and flood all the plants.
She ran excitetly to her parents and told them that she prayed for rain and it happened. But they only laughed at her and shooed her away.
Well the whole thing happened again a couple more times and till finnally she got so angry at her parents she caused a storm in the house.
Her parents imediatly realized her ability and started treating her better. They started "loving" her and encouraged her to use her ability more. Mayze was soom able to cause any size storm she wanted or clear away storms.
Her parents used her to help their farm. They started expanding their property until they owned the whole country side. Mayze's power grew stronger and stronger but it took a lot out of her, she grew weak and sickly and almost died once, but she kept going because she thought her parents finnaly loved her.

When she was 13 her parents decided to retire. They sold the farm and moved to the city and lived rich lives. But they left Mayze. They snuck away in the middle of the night.
Mayze then realized the truth about her parents. She was turned out of the house by the people who bought the farm and roamed the country side for years, until she had lost her will to live. She was going to kill herself, but she met Dove and joined the Junkers.

You would think that after all her parents did to her she would hate rain. But it reminds her of how foolish she was in trusting her parents. Some how she finds comfort in that, knowing that all that is over and that with a fresh rain, you can start again.

Hopefully I'll have time this evening and perhaps Kairyu will see her at the event tonight ^v^ Very interesting backstory ^o^ It makes me want to update Kairyu's parent's designs ^v^ They'd definitely welcome her with open arms ^v^ They're essentially the exact opposite of her parents oddly enough. And yes the art style looks quite nice ^3^
