FrozenWarrior p 14:

By nightfall, IceWolf had been preparing for whatever trials were to come. The Alpha prepared each course and the rest of the pack helped set up. The Wolvian pup was to prepare alone as by the rules and tradition. She was told to not use her abilities except her Claws, however she had doubts it would go that way considering she will learn to fly if put in a situation involving being up high. She sharpened her claws on the cave walls and ran around the mountain to prepare, she worked on holding her breath because it was clear this will be no mere wolf test, this will be a challenge made for her and only her. Finally after the two hours given were up, BlackStone howled for her to approach the beginning of the course. She followed his sound and stopped to see him with the same evil grin and the pack waiting to watch her. Tundril walked up to her and nodded to assure her. "You can do it." She said. IceWolf met her eyes and smiled, confidence in her expression.

"I know." She then approached the large Alpha Male and bowed her head, ears back to show full respect.

Kind of surprised of her obedience he half smiled. "This first course will be quite easy I imagine, however it will only get harder." He grinned again. Up ahead a small running course was visible, the track layer out my barriers from rocks and the finish line far from them. IceWolf took a deep breath knowing there was a catch. Her deep suspicions in her head were interrupted by BlackStones loud voice. "You are to run this course and stop at the finish line but, since you are so fast you have to be done in less then 30 seconds! You may begin once I howl." He commanded. IceWolf's heart raced she knew there was a catch but didn't have a clue how long the course was nor if they 'booby trapped' it. She let out a heavy shaky breath, "Alright..." Soon enough the Alpha howled and IceWolf shot off like a rocket.

She ran two and fro through the deep forest, over a frozen lake, under some caves and passages all as fast as possible, everything wizard by like bullets as she ran faster than ever. Not soon after she neared the finish line, hope struck her again but was soon broken by a sudden heat racing over her whole body. She hadn't realized they led her into broad sun light, no snow or shade for cover. She struggled to cross the line they had set up as the intense heat started to cripple her. Her blood started to melt inside her and bruises showed through her fur and her body was growing tired. She panted and whimpered in pain and exhaustion. Tundril and the others had made it finally and BlackStone only laughed at her, Tundril however growled at him, "Are you seriously trying to KILL HER???" She questioned.

The trials were then canceled due to IceWolf being nearly in a coma. She had lost a lot of blood from melting on the hot ground. She had been recovering for days upon days, Tundril's worry growing stronger along with her anger towards BlackStone. The pack argued as the days went by. "Why do we still have her?" Some asked, "She doesn't deserve such torture at a young age!" Tundril had yelled countless remarks against all the packs doubtful comments. Soon the pack had come to a final decision. It was not really in her favor...

After arguing of if she was good or bad for the pack, the Alpha had created an agreement. "Fine... Since it's clear she helps us in some ways we will kick her out once she is old enough to live alone. Once that time comes, she is to travel far from this forest and find another pack or just live in the far away mountains." He had explained. The pack nodded in agreement, Tundril lowered her ears and nodded in slight sorrow.

She didn't want IceWolf to leave, even if she became an adult. But the majority of the pack had wanted her gone. At that last agreement, the Alpha stood up and let out a long howl to announce the meeting was over, everyone else howled after him and then it was silent.

The next morning, the pack went hunting. They brought IceWolf along and had split into 3 groups. They killed a bear and a few rabbits here and there but didn't get as much as they needed to survive the upcoming blizzards. The air was colder and the frosty wind was blowing from the mountains to the forest and it was not safe for the wolves. However the pup, didn't mind. She did however offer to help them to survive since her being immune to the cold could give them quite the advantage.

The next morning the winds had blown in early and the whole forest was covered in an insanely high winds storm. IceWolf woke up and just walked out into it to gather food for her starving pack, she simply did what she usually did, dragging a massive bear in her maw as if she were much bigger. The pup had extreme strength and they all knew it, but they still didn't trust her completely. BlackStone had slightly given in and was now eating the food she brought but only a small amount.

They all sat, day after day, waiting for food to be brought to them as if in a bird nest and IceWolf was the mother feeding her chicks. They felt pathetic and useless however IceWolf didn't complain, the cold felt good on her snow-white coat of fur. She even felt like she belonged in even colder conditions deep in her thoughts. After a few days, she began howling every night, hearing some music from somewhere in the town a few miles from there.

The pack thought she was insane, for they heard not a slight hint of sound except the wind and her paws in the deep, fresh snow as she walked back and forth from the forest to the den. The music, even if it was real or not, motivated the young Wolvian to bring food faster, time herself and find the biggest bears possible. It kept her no longer doubtful and very happy.

After about almost a full month, the blizzard finally subsided, the pack joyously walking out of the den's cave. IceWolf was already rather grown, she was bigger and smarter, still howling to that supposed music. She barely even thought about the losses of her parents, rarely was sad or scared. She was nearly the size Tundril! However though the pup was happy... Tundril knew, soon she would have to leave.

That night... IceWolf let out the longest and loudest howl any thing on earth had ever heard a wolf echo from their throat. It felt as if it could have been heard from space... And it was...
