QUESTION OF THE DAY:

Which of your OC(s) is most like you and how so?

Personality-wise, Hawk is most like me. He has his differences because he only spent part of his childhood under the influence of parents, but for the most part we think, behave, and see others similarly.

Appearance-wise, Eira is most like me with her long black hair and more proper posture.

Hmm that's a tricky question, my OC most like me?

Personality - Raven ( #BHRaven) - He's cold and struggles to open up or care for anyone but himself. He often screws up when forming new relationships, he can be awkward around new people, he typically spends time alone and will ignore others. But when push comes to shove, he's not afraid and never hesitates to fight back. Though he can go too far with things.

Appearance: Yuki ( #BHYuki) and Alexandrea (old ref: #BHOCAlex): Alex for her long messy, brown, hair and Yuki for her more round/chubby face

That's a hard one, I don't think I made a character off of me completely, but some have similarities or aspects, but probably Catch, Judas, and Von would be the closest. Catch at the beginning of Skey was easy to RP as because shared ideas and habits, not everything though but that's probably why it was hard to make him a serious leader because I'm not good at leading.

The core of Judas without Killy, I guess you could say is a exaggerated vision. compassionate, eccentric, sometime lost in there own little world, smart in some things but stupid, a habit of holding back and also been compliant when he shouldn't be. Having a optimistic view even in rough times.
His desire for a friend would be based off my younger self
Von is some way you could say is based off or inspired by a childhood motto ' it's better not to be seen or heard ' which developed the quiet observing aspect and have a tendency of analyzing everything.

Appearance-wise, I don't have any girl with brown hair posted, or with my face shape, but body shape the closest would probably be Victoria, I have a decent hourglass shape,

That's a really interesting question. @Fade, I didn't know Hawk was that similar to you.

I don't have any specific character who's based completely off me, but I do give most of them little bits of myself. Personality-wise, Crowley, Adder, and Sheldon all have similarities to me. Crowley has basically the same sense of humour as me. Adder is an introvert who prefers to be alone sometimes (and he's interested in things like art and literature). Sheldon has pretty serious social problems, he finds it hard to talk to anyone (as I do in real life).

That's only a few of them though, loads of my characters are a bit like me. XD

Appearance-wise, probably Olivia. I've never shown her here though.

I could go really into detail, but a lot of my OCs have aspects of me in them, if I had to pick the ones I relate to the most though... it'd have to be my Dreamer Trio and Eater

Terra is the side of me I never usually show, one of my biggest fears is upsetting my friends or making them angry, I worry over sometimes silly things and have a tendency to second-guess myself, I'm also very quick to blame myself when something goes wrong, and I never, ever forget the moments when I actually do mess up. Terra also gets his love of reading and learning from me.

Weaver and Eater both mirror the love/hate relationship I feel for my brother's kids who I'm forced to babysit, buuuut I'd rather not get into that. Kids aside, I feel my best friends are closer to me than my family has ever been, and I always try to support them any way I can, honestly I wish I could do more.

How am I running out of room talking about this?? I'm not done yet, hang on...

One thing Weaver had that I hope I don't, though, is that he ended up taking his friends and loved ones somewhat for granted, and he had to lose everything to realize how dumb he was. Weaver also has my sense of adventure (at least when it comes to games) and how I love being a hero, I like being able just to help people, and he's actually my favorite personality to RP with.

Eater, on the other hand, is me when I get frustrated, I don't actually start shouting like he does, but in my head I do 'XD I've also got a bit of a dark sense of humor sometimes, like last night I was joking with Mom about how we could tell my niece her fish died, "He went on a belly-up adventure down the drain," and honestly, I still get a kick out of everyone's reactions to the day I killed off Terra in SKeys. I love RPing with him too 'XD

Purity I feel looks like me more than anything, but we do have several things in common, we're both equally afraid of spiders, I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to cleaning, and we both love stories with happy endings, where the Prince and the Princess get to live happily ever after...

Purity is definitely the one who looks the most like me, one time my nkece was snooping around in my offline gallery and saw the Purity & Weaver ship pic Shadow drew, she smiled at me and asked, "Is this you?"

Radiant: I've actually revamped Hawk since our last roleplay, but I'll be keeping him as his old self for the sake of our roleplay. xD But he's more like me in his canon story.

AH! I just remembered a character who is most like me, more than Hawk!
Kaito, whose picture I deleted for some weird reason. His focus is set on the well-being of others, and he will often go to great lengths to please those above and below him. He is good at putting himself in others' shoes and loves to trust and gain trust from those he likes. This often makes him gullible, leading him to look over signs of deception and manipulation. He has a good sense of right and wrong, though he is soft-hearted and struggles to speak his mind.

(Fade) I'm curious to see what Hawk's like now. XD I don't remember who Kaito is at all.

This makes me think of the reverse question: which of your OCs is the most different from you? Maybe a character who likes everything you hate, or a character who thinks and acts in a completely different way to you.

Killy I can't handle blood or Gore and also any sarcastic or flirtatious OC

I don't expect anyone other than Blood to remember him. XD He had dark hair and a fairy companion.

I think, out of my more developed characters, Coldfire is least like me. He has no self control, he's mannerless and arrogant, and he puts his own wants above others' needs. I would hate to meet him irl. X'D
Another would be #FGLaurence, though I'm merely disgusted by him. He's a jerk, a people-hater, and a huge pervert.

Weirdly enough, that's why I like these characters: they're so different from me that it's exciting to figure out everything about them, like how they think and what their goals are in life. I like to see how worldviews can change characters.

Characters least like me? Sercoravus, and an OC named Tseldimor who I haven't drawn yet. Tsel is extremely arachnophilic to the point he has pet spiders, and is generally a jerk to everyone. Although, maybe I should draw him eventually... his personalities could make for interesting RPs, since he's made of 17 souls trapped in one body. :p

Sercoravus, on the other hand, I like to think of him as that nagging voice in the back of your head, the one telling you to just give up. He's unrelentingly cruel and toys with the emotions of others in subtle ways, feeling that all other life is below him, and that the lives of others are just tools for him to use for his enjoyment.

I would say Crimson too, but... I pretty much become a slightly more sane Crimson whenever I'm playing Skyrim ':D

A character least like me? That's tricky

I'd say Jupiter, she's soft spoken, always kind and gentle. She's also deeply empathetic and loving. While some of those are me, I lack empathy towards others and struggle to open up to new people.

ANOTHER QUESTION OF THE DAY:

What is your opinion on mathematics?

Unfortunately a a necessary evil x'D I hate math but it's used for a lot of things, though I wish they go back to the old way and just did the basic math how it used to be and not all this pointless Stuff they make kids do now

Then again I also solve math problems backwards x'D

I'm mostly neutral tbh, I mostly didn't have a problem with it when I was in school, but it borderlined dislike because there were times the books would throw in little twists to the problems without even telling me how to do it :s I've pretty much pushed all of the complicated equations and such out of my mind, but I'm a little frustrated that I never learned to multiply very well :s

Chemistry, on the other hand...

Neither of my parents thought my idea of burning the Chemistry books was a good idea, for some reason.

I'm with Shadow, I think learning basic mathematics is important, but we don't need to know all of the complicated stuff. XD I enjoy maths sometimes, but only when I know what I'm doing. Everything else makes me want to kill myself. XD

Honestly, I dunno how well I'm going to be able to answer that, since I'm not sure I even know my own personality traits. xD

I guess Garth's a lot like me, since I tend to be way too timid and worrisome for my own good. I think I'm pretty mellow as well.

Fiona tries her hardest to make those she's close to happy, and she tends to be close and trusting with her friends, even the new ones she doesn't know a lot about.
That, and she's practically the embodiment of my sense of humor.

Most of my characters also have some kind of oddball trait. I think I'm pretty weird, too. xP

I haven't drawn any characters on here that look like me, but I know I have a character that does... Since she's based off of me. I've been trying to make her into her own character,
though, since I feel bad about that.

Intelligence to me is having an understanding of the world, to be able to fix your own problems and be as successful as you can in your own way. I believe intelligence and being smart are two different things. Being in honors and high level classes is being smart. Being able to pull yourself through life’s challenges successfully is intelligence.

I person capable of communicating clearly and effectively. Someone who doesn't purely go off their emotions/feelings in conversations/debates.

Intelligence isn't using big fancy words correctly, but being able to clearly and concisely communicate your ideas and thoughts. Without getting over emotional.

I'm a facts over feelings person, I don't care about people's feelings in debates. I want reason, honesty and truth.

That felt a bit repetitive, but oh well :P

Intelligence for me is when somebody knows and understands the truth fully. A person who knows a ton about a conspiracy may be smart, but I wouldn't consider them intelligent. It's when they have reviewed the facts and accepted the truth.

Answer 1: I don't like nuts in general, but when I do eat them, my favorite kind is salted peanuts. That's why I actually hate most of the Halloween candy I get around here, there's always nuts, nuts, nuts in everything X'D

Did you have a favorite mythical creature as a child? Did it change as you got older?

My favorite mythical creature for the longest time (and still partially is) is the Werewolf. I've always been a canine lover and as a kid the thought of turning into a wolf always made me so excited. I loved dragons too, but the most realistic thing for me was a werewolf.

And never a werewolf that walked on its hindlegs like man. One that appeared as a typical wolf, except bigger, faster, stronger and smarter. Fur would be your hair color and you'd keep your eye color.

So I'd be a big brown wolf with green eyes. It made more sense to me (and still does), because if humans spotted you, they'd think wolf or big German Shepherd.

Kelley Armstrong's Bitten Book Series later became a huge inspiration for my love of werewolves.

I do love dragons of course, but since they never existed, the more realistic aspect of my mind always turns to wolves/werewolves.

Art and story wise, I will always love dragons the most, they're incredibly versatile and anatomy can be whatever looks friggin hella cool to you (the artist).

Mine has always been dragons, ever since I was little, but I also loved werewolves, witches and vampires. I still love all those things, but I use dragons the most.

One species I've never been very interested in was the griffin. I don't know why, I guess it's because I can't draw them well enough or I never found a place for them in my stories.

I also used to create my own mythical creatures a lot when I was younger, one of them was a hybrid between a griffin and a pterodactyl.

If it counts, when I was really, really little, I liked things like fairies and unicorns and pegasi, but somewhere along the line, when I was around 5 or 6, dragons came in and I practically threw everything else out the window X'D

For some reason, I never really knew much about mythical creatures growing up. Then I was introduced to dragons, and obviously I have loved them ever since.
I generally just liked real animals, like horses and dinosaurs. :P

I guess any kind of fantasy horse could also fit there, I just can't ever see myself with a horse OC (That's why my Vaseterm had to barely be a horse X'D )

Random question (inspired by my stalking of Fade's RP room):

Do any of your characters speak with a particular accent?

Unfortunately I can't write with an accent, I can barely do English and it doesn't help I can't hear certain tones so my understanding the different in accents is off ':s
So I never make a big deal out of it.

Emilia the only one I really try to work an accent
, and I tried to give her an Irish or Scott one.

But I do imagine some of my other characters would have an accent.

Mal is supposed to have more of a proper English then what I'm capable of, but that not really an accent, it just the way he supposed to word and carry himself is it's supposed to be more classy.

Faye, Faolan and Serenity's would have a slight Irish accent but not much, it would be more of the Dreamer one but that made up and not really one I can place a similarity to
The Vaseterm ( or that at least the ones who were raised on Deluna or was raised by ones from there ) I always imagine having an accent but it would be a made up one so I can't really give a good example.
Omen knows hundreds of languages and is very good in hearing tones and could mimic accents if he wants to... manly to annoy Mal

Catch could have a slight accent but it would be something he could talk with or without but again his would be a made up one, seen Howaito and Dreamers are not real.

Von I could see having one or a slight one but I haven't really been able to think what one it is.

#SPAriana would have an Hawaiian accent

Hmm, I don't usually think of accents for my OCs, I don't know why though. The first one that comes to mind for me is that Venatavis that was in the kitchen in Shiverglow, I might be forgetting some though, my brain's still partially asleep 'XP

I usually hear my characters speak in varying American accents, though for those with particular ethnicities like Zekra and Samaira, they have the accent of their respective country. I just don't bother to write their speech that way. XD
Though Suuya has a n obvious thick southern-American/west African accent.

I don't usually WRITE my characters with accents (it's too time-consuming) but I still imagine a lot of them with accents.

Bandit (I never draw him anymore) has a strong Texan accent.
Ethereal would have an upper-class English accent.
Most of my characters have some variation of British accents, like Fade's having all American. XD

I have a lot with other accents, I just haven't shown them here before, so no point in mentioning them.

I remember reading Huckleberry Finn for a literature class and I hated it because the speech of a lot of the characters was written exactly how they sounded. "So I wen' ta' 'da shawp n' got me some lic-o-rish" for every other bit of dialogue.
So yeah, don't bother to write the accent. You'll make it easier for both you and others.

I always put character's voices in my voice, I don't bother to imagine different ones.

But if my characters were real, Hiiro would have a deep manly voice, more on the commanding side.

Raven's would be kinda scratchy but commanding, since he leads the Zeharu Council.

Blue's would be gentle-ish, more on the side of voice actor Johnny Yong Bosch (When he voices Ichigo from Bleach)

I don't really put accents, race, ethnicity, etc to characters. I just don't care about that kind of stuff. I care more about personality and backstory

Oooh neat Blood! Ethnicity usually helps me with character development, but it can go either way. I usually think about it when making characters from the real world haha

Which of your OCs would you most like to spend the day with if they were real, and who would you LEAST want to spend the day with?

Tobias ( #BHTobias) - He's goofy, adventurous, fun and much more. He's also very friendly and loves giving piggy backs, so I could ride on his back in his true form, it would be so fun. I just wouldn't go up anywhere high with him, he has no sense of danger.

Least character I'd want to spend time with?

Sinister/Sin ( #BHXanosOriginals) - He'd definitely kill me, in the worst and most inhumane ways. He has a black heart, lack of empathy, sympathy, etc...
But he has a sort of weakness, if you don't say his name, he won't be able to find you. So I'd spend the day in silence and fear x'D

The character I'd like to spend time with most would be Kaito because I feel we'd have a lot in common. Least would probably be #FGSyllestia because she's rude and apathetic, or #FGLaurence who's a jerky creep.

I wouldn't mind spending time with #RRGin. He's friendly, good-humoured and knows how to make an interesting conversation, even if neither of us know what to talk about. XD

I wouldn't like to spend a day with #RRCrowley because you never know what he's gonna do, he might kill you or he might be your best friend, depending on his mood. I also wouldn't want to be around #RRIvy because she's a creepy flirt, or #RRSheldon because he's as socially awkward as me and we wouldn't even be able to talk.

Don't worry, I know I pronounce some of my characters' names wrong and I don't even bother to correct myself. XD

Draorture has the most awkward name of my characters. I have no idea how that combination of letters should be pronounced, so i just wing it.

I pronounce it the same way, Radiant, though online sources all say it's "I-ra" or "eye-ra." But when you're writing, you can leave pronunciation up to the imagination. XD

I was talking to Lilly on the PS4 and we were talking about Skey and when I mentioned when I her name, Lilly didn't know who I was talking about x'D
And I was like 'you know Catch girl Fade's oc' and then Lilly told me how she says it like 'I-ra or eye-ra' and I been saying it with an E sound or like Erica with an air- sound, but I was really happy to find out her name is 'I-ra or eye-ra' because it sounds really pretty and it's not like Erica that my sister name :'D

Yes!!! Almost every single time Radiant xD it can take months or even years for me to come up for a name for a character, I can have there entire story written out and still have no idea what to name the character x'D

Sometimes! First finding a name is generally easy, though I like to change their names when recreated them, and finding a new name is so tough when their current name has stuck so well with them.

I find it interesting to hear how other people pronounce the names of OCs X'D I feel like I've got a knack for pronouncing difficult words or names, or at least if I don't say it right, I can say it in a way that makes sense. Like Draorture, that doesn't seem hard to me, I'd say "Dr-our-chure"

Sometimes are easier than others for me to come up with names for OCs, Evina is actually a funny example of this, I was looking through a list for names with dark meanings, but the list had a lot of names with meanings like "light," "love," etc., at first I was a little frustrated, but I decided to name her Evina in an ironic twist. According to the list, Evina means "life," and she's a Red Demon who steals the life from others XP

Also, if the kids'll leave me alone, I'd like to take a nap before the RP, my cat kept me up all night

From the get go, I pronounced Eira (Air-rah), just like my OC Eiro is pronounced (Air-roh)

Recently I've learned that I'm very bad at pronouncing character's names.

I also tend to have a hard time coming up with names for my own characters.

...I think I'm just bad at names in general. xD

I never change my characters' names if I can help it, I stick with the first real name that comes into my head when I'm creating them. I feel like that's the name they're 'supposed' to have. Sometimes I'll try to change one, but it doesn't fit and I always end up switching back to the old one. XD

I usually stick with the name I started with, but sometimes don't.

Sometimes I change the name for adopted characters, if I had to come up with something fast, but not all the time, the thing that does usually changes the personality though.

I like Alfred when I was doing the DTA for him, in his description he was supposed to be a Punk, mysterious guy, but when I started to RP with him he's the complete opposite, caring and friendly but it really fit Al :3

I have a few others like that
#SPShiroe was supposed to be a nice guy but because the RP he was involved with needed a bit of spicy, he ended up a jerk but I really didn't want him to be x'D

Lol XD It's so difficult changing a character's name once you've gotten used to it. I've basically created normal humanized versions of my main OCs for the sake of discussing stories with my irl friends, but it's difficult finding new names for the weirdly-named ones, like Coldfire :P

I don't talk to my friends inrl about my characters or my family. They're all too dumb to get anything and I hate repeating and explaining myself over and over again.

Also NOT one person I know irl is an artist, not family or friends. So it's even more frustration and misunderstandings.

Do you have any characters that are based on irl people or fictional characters? (not OCs from Colors)

I don't think I have any OCs who are specifically based on real people, but I know I occasionally borrow traits from people I know when I'm making characters. Just small things, for example: Cherry and Lucifer have the same birthdays as my mum and my cousin, respectively.

I also know I have some OCs who are based on characters from videogames, but none are coming to mind right now.

Isaac and Ethan names are both from family members, Ethan was supposed to beat Evan but I keep getting them mixed up x'D
( Which is kind of awkward rp with characters of the same names as family members x'D but I always like the name Isaac and it's meaning and I already said why Ethan was named ) but there personalities are not really the same as the person they're based off of, the rl Ethan is a spoiled brat mama's boy, and Isaac has some similarities but a lot is very different.

I say Von a little like my brother, or are at least in his younger days, about observing quietly and only talking when it's actually something important.

I don't think I've ever based an OC off of someone I know irl. For videogame characters, Maldius was heavily inspired by Malefor from the Legend of Spyro trilogy, and Alaviron gradually came to be inspired by Ignitus from the same games. :P

intertwining, most ( not all ) of my characters within the story have some sort of connection with one another, in one shape or form, I noticed I have done this in every main RP I have been in ( but that not very many x'D) Skey it show all over the place, TDS there was something I had planned for Teresa/Gemini and Alfred, and of course black ice was the Twins dad. Even Von and Mirage (but that has changed drastically, and have overhauled that plot)

If it OC I made if it have wings, that probably means there something important (not always thought, seen some species just have wings)

The same goes with water, that something a few of my main oc share, water usually affects them in one way or another. Catch, Mal, Omen, Von and so on.

Hmm, I probably have OC habits, but I can't seem to think of any right now. XD
I try to have all my characters as different as possible, so similar traits don't come up much (or at least I don't notice them).

One thing I know I do is make most of my characters shapeshifters. I think at least half of them have more than one different form. Also, with human characters, I have a habit of making long-haired guys for some reason. I think it's just more fun to draw. XD

I also like to give my characters interesting quirks that you might not expect when you first look at them. For example, Crowley plays the violin, Lucifer likes heavy metal music, Rikk likes flowers... I could go on, but I won't. XD

I'm not sure how to answer it, but I can ramble! :'D

My female OC's tend to have suffered most in life, but remain strong for the ones they love. They have someone in their lives they keep on living for.

Eiro is my best example, she fell in love at a young age and it was when she was around 2,000 years old, she lost everything. She lost her mate and her son. Though he was spared and sealed away.

She spent the next thousand years alone, her heart broken with guilt, grief and pure pain. But she kept living and going because she knew she'd see her son Roiyaru again. (Though if I do her comic, I'll probably change her son to someone I can actually draw and who's mine xD)

Yuki shared a similar fate, but in a smaller time frame, but she's a bit more sassy and hardy. She doesn't get too emotional.

I want to say, for quirks in my characters or something unexpected, would be King (The Zeharu Creator)

He's the all powerful and immortal (I hate immortal characters, but he was always something I wanted in my Zeharu world, something I needed). But he doesn't always seem like it and it has to do with his origins, he wasn't born a deity. And because of this, he has a greater understanding for the living, dead and their wants/needs.

He's hard to use in RP's, because he's supposed to know everything and be all powerful. But that's no fun when RP'ing and I can't predict what people will do, I'm not a Deity x'D

UhhHhh guess I'll answer

I notice that my RP characters all have big flaws and generally wouldn't be seen as "good guys," so to speak (except for the really happy ones like Bell and Charbel). Raven is a loner and tends to avoid siding with anyone, even if they need his help. Eira struggles with thinking about others, and she's sometimes a brat. Coldfire is a whole heck of a mess with anger problems, cowardliness, and pride, though he's been gradually changing for the better.
When I develop these characters, I guess I ask myself, "What would happen to them if they went through a rough time and they didn't pull through?"

I think the only way I can make them likable is through funny and positive quirks and deeds. Raven is always sleepy and messy-haired, and he has a good heart toward the innocent. Eira's brattiness can come off as comical, and hidden inside is her fiery lion heart. Coldfire loves to tease others and make them laugh, and he gets happily addicted to things like coffee.

At least, I think that's what makes them likable. *shrug*

Most of my characters are really sympathetic figures, if that makes sense? Well I mean Mina and Macgyver are.
I’m not much of an original character kind of person, I’m not really into making actual characters and I don’t have any outside of colors to be honest, unless you count reoccurring creature designs in my sketchbook as characters. But when I do make a developed character, such as Mina or Mac (well Mac isn’t developed, not yet at least. He’s just the only other character I’ve used in an RP), they end up being emotionally troubled and easily vulnerable? I don’t know if that’s a good thing, it may come from my own feeling about myself as I tend to be a self-doubter.

I really want to make more characters and develop stories, I just need to get into it I guess.

That's also something I noticed with myself and others, our personalities, emotions, etc... tend to bleed into our characters.

For example (I'll just do myself):

Hiiro was originally supposed to be insecure and sensitive, but my personality and emotions bled into his character.

He went from that, to my more aggressive, lack of empathy/sympathy personality.

I'm a quick to anger/short tempered and more on the dominant side of people/personalities.
I /hate/ being submissive and being around submissive people, it makes me more angry and wanting to beat on someone.

I have anger issues, always have
And that's why Hiiro changed so much, it's also why I nearly snapped at Spiraling for having an 'immortal' character.

But I've been trying to control my anger, I've gotten better at keeping my cool and walking away from situations that piss me off.

Ahahaha.... To be completely honest, I joined because I loved Dreamcatcher for his unique species and personality but was positive he'd end up in a ship, so I figured, "I'll make it me!" So I made Eira, intendinng to compliment Catch's personality, and somehow the ship actually sailed. X'DD Her story was a blank page, apart from her knowing Catch in the past.

Originally, Eira was a sort of fretful and self-doubting person, but as te roleplay progressed, I liked the idea of her being foery hearted despite her icy corruption.

The only thing from me that's leaked into her is the appearance. XD

Then again, more recently I've been leaning her ethnicity toward Hispanic (fantasized of course), so now all we have in common is long dark hair xD

Having characters with flaws, I would say is normal, seen as people in real life are not perfect, and it makes for character growth.
I personally love Eira, and I wouldn't have shipped Catch if I didn't, x'D

Well seen im the host and the store around my world, most of my characters had story and personalities even before Skey, (I had my species and world for a few years now :'D thought I redid a lot of my original story, to accommodate the new elements into the world with Skey, and with that making something new, a lot of things were cut out, but a lot of new things we're add, I try giving everyone a place in the plot, but I don't want to force anything on anyone, I try my best to help build others characters and make the story move around them and I get the job of making it fit in the plot, but it's a fun world Skey is that keep me on my toes x'D)
but it's not only there personalities but I also try to incorporate their species instincts and traits.

Malice, for the most part has been the same, a Dreamer Prince who the curse of the nightmare was placed on, and now the Nightmare king, a cold and blunt with a bit of anger issues, he thinks little of anyone, for his instincts, Mal first thing is to trick or fake others, he can be flirtatious because he knows others see him as attractive and will use that to his advantage, however Mal quick to show his true colors if something is out of his control. As a Nightmare he not afraid to run away from a fight if he knows the cost of it to him is too much, survival is everything to a Nightmare and even more so to Mal. but echoes of Faolan are there's and that we're you get, Mal more mooded Punk habits. If something big hasn't gone to plan or he really upsets and sulky he go to the bar and drink but he normally get bored before getting drunk, his uh, playfully sarcastic is because of this to. Mal also has a thing with playing with hair and has always like Raven hairs hair.

I would say, Mal is the less I have bleed into, but he has grown a lot as a character in skey and especially with him having a ship, it show more.

Omen has been the funnest to RP with and see if anyone would catch on or notice different things with him, personality-wise he all over the board, but I'm sure now people can see the difference between Judas and Killy in Omen. I would say me and Judas share a lot in common, personality-wise, as I'm often been told I'm eccentric but in a good way (or so I'm told x'D) I usually have a playfully upbeat personality, and try to be optimistic even in hard time ( not always but I try ) as one of my saying is ' who an I to rain on someone else parade, just because a storm hit mine?' I try not to let my own problems or poor mood bring down someone else, and instead try to encourage others and help them out the best I can.
His odd playfully/Troll I guess you can say is also a bit of me x'D except I don't do it to other people, I just make silly comments or have silly quirks.

Judas naivety is kinda inspired by me as well, as have an idea how the world works but not at the same time, he also a little bit of a people please and will follow others he trusts,
but sometimes put his trust we're it shouldn't go.

Catch believe on love is also of an older generation, and one we share, as you will never (or rarely) heir him say ' I fell in love' this is because of his mind set, because just as easily it is to fall in love, it just as easy to fall out of love, instead Catch say " I chose to love" this is him making a devout commitment, one that isn't seen or use that often anymore, it him no matter what his spouse does or do, he has chosen to love no matter what.

Catch try to do what right but he isn't perfect, he can get on a one track mind and doesn't always catch( lol) some of the social cues of that really good on.
Some of this was him getting caught up in his silverblood side and trying to figure out what he was.

Catch has always been a storyteller oc, it not just his vision about the past, but him and what he is as his specie, and because of his, his things depend greatly upon what and who interacts with him.

I won't say something because of spoilers and stuff but here some stuff that probably already know.

But things that are shown with him is Dreamer, Fairfin, Nightmare, Light Eater, Vaseterm, moonBlood.

Dreamer are very devout to there spouse and are family oriented

Catch Vaseterm make him very protective over Eira, he gets way more aggressive when he feels her life endangered.

Because of both his Dreamer and Vaseterm he clingy to Eira as a moonBlood.

Catty feed off of negative emotions, making Catch get irritated or upset more easily.

And there dark Catch and why he is the way he is in that form, but I don't want to spend another few hours. X'D

I have the same problem with Mal outside of Skey, x'D there are very few characters he'd be willing to interact with, they ether have to be pesty and follow him, or they have to interest him in some way, if not he just ignore them and move on with his life 'xD

I been thinking 'if'(lol) I ever run out of ideas for Joe troll, I would ask people to leave a OC tag and I go through them and see about making a Joe trolls with there character as well, but I already have a ton of ideas it just getting the time and motivation to do it x'DD

I’m probably late to answering but no, I didn’t come into Soledormir’s Keys with a set story for Mina. And it’s obvious that I didn’t, with all of the confusion behind her backstory.

Take Nev and the fact that I killed him off in the first RP. I originally intended on bringing him back (like how Hiiro died and came back), that’s why Mina never found his body. But then I realized that he wasn’t going to work so I just left him dead.

Now, I really wish he didn’t exist. Because my original plan for Mina’s backstory was that her parents died and she had to live in an abusive family so she ran away. Then I realized that was such a cheesy and unoriginal story for a character so I scrapped it. But because Nev still was a character, I have to figure out how he ties to her story.

I will make a post about her story eventually, I think I’ve gotten it figured out.

Mina’s a messy character, I suck at character making. That’s partially why I’m taking a break from the RP along with school getting in the way. I need to take time to clean her up and catch up to the RP, because all she’s been doing lately is yelling at Hiiro and following everyone around and I want her to be more than that. I want her to have defined relationships with other characters, a proper backstory, and a motive behind her actions other than “she’s just a snappy person”.

In some ways, Catch and Eira are polar opposites. X'D

I can't wait to learn about Mina's backstory!! She's a real interesting character, but knowing her past will complete the picture!

Catch and Crimson are actually my most different character, as they both were completely Rewritten for Skey, most of the stuff that happened to Catch actually would have to Crimson, seen Crimson wasn't originally supposed to be in Skey as he was a main character and the Leander in his story.

Crimson original personality would be almost how Catch is now, and they part we're Catch get corrupted was something new and only done in Skey, it was something I what to try and to help Lilly to see the progress of a Dreamer corruption to a Nightmare, however I never intended Catch to go fully into a Nightmare, thuse his silverblood came into play.

Crimson has been a hard one for me to develop, seen now Catch taking his place, and I didn't really plan for him to get involved, I kinda just thought him in because I needed to feel in some gaps to move things along, his story is now ruf and one I'm still tweaking but he a support character and he be interesting in developing.

Roleplays tend to ruin the plans we have for characters, don't they? XD

Alexandrea was the one I struggled with the most, I threw her in to speed up the key hunting. That's why she was introduced clearing a dungeon, by herself.

But once I realized she had a greater role to play, I struggled how to figure out her abilities, nature/personality, etc... I didn't want her to be an OP character. That's why it took me so long and confused me for so long, on how her Light magic would work.

She still doesn't have much of a backstory, but she really doesn't need one either. I'm beyond happy that her role has been tied to Malice and shipping them. Though I never intended on it, she was supposed to be a background/extra character (like Blue in SKeys).

But over time, I developed her to be a loving/caring and gentle person. She's also an elegant, but clumsy bird and she's probably one of my only OC's who rarely ever shifts to her true form. She's more fun to use in her human form (And I love drawing her in her human form)

Her abilities were tough to figure out, but now, I've got 'em down pat and it was all explained in her updated phoenix form ref.

I love Alex's personality! She's a sweetie!

Okay, question for you all. Out of all of the RP sessions we’ve had, which one was your favorite and why?

Hmmm that is such a hard one, but after thinking about it all morning, I have to say my favorite session was the one we're Catch kiss Eira for the first time, I love that one for multiple reasons, one of course it was a big CatchEira moment, but not only that, I love the fun shenanigans that we're going on in the background as well with Hiiro, Mina and Crystals and then you had Fiona and Weaver in who were also doing some funny stuff that even to this day have become inside jokes.
But that would have to be my favorite session.

Oh no Shadow! Doesn't the information on your offline gallery save onto your SD card? If so, you can just put it in your new DS.

I experimented by taking out my SD card right now, and the Colors 3D program didn't even show up. So your information is definitely on your SD card.
Now it's a problem that you don't have another DS to work with. Hopefully customer service can help you, but if not, maybe you can get a new one? :0

The SD card is the storage/memory card for all the information on your DS. Since Colors 3D is a downloaded program, all its information is on your SD card. If you remove it and put it in a new 3DS, you should have all your WIPs.

Ok! I'll see if I can put it in my older XL and see if it works and just jump back and forth between the to DS cards until I get it fixed or a new one

I’d suggest getting a new one. GameStop sells refurbished 3DS XLs in the $80-$100 range if you really want an older model. I was originally going to get a refurbished model before deciding to jut get an entirely new one.

New systems of the older model can be pretty pricy unfortunately, so if you don’t trust getting a refurbished system I’d suggest just getting a new system of the newer model. The only downside is that the newer models take different sd cards, so all of your WIPs on Colors wouldn’t transfer over when you transfer all your older system’s data.

That probably what I'll end up doing is get a new one, The one that not working is a XL and I'll probably just get another XL so hopefully I still be able to put my SD card in it and still be able to keep and work on my WIP

Random question of the day: What makes your favorite OC unique from your other characters?/Why do you like that OC most?

I'm tied between Loki ( #BHLoki) and King ( #BHKing)

Loki is just one of my most unique characters, design and ability wise. She's not my normal shape shifter, instead she size shifts. Which is a ton of fun to RP with. I also love her feathers, hands and swirly markings. She's adorable.

King has a unique design as well, I'm not sure why I gave him six eyes, but it works perfectly for him. But he's near impossible to use in a RP setting and he's really hard to draw sometimes. Especially in his true form.

I'm thinking of just writing out his Lore/Story or doing a comic on him. Not sure yet.

Hmm, what makes #RRCrowley unique? I'll leave that for later. XD

He's a /lot/ of fun to write and to use in RPs, because he's so unpredictable. He'll pick fights with random passers-by just because they're there, he'll make friends only to betray them later, he nearly gets himself killed doing stupid stuff... Crowley doesn't conform to society's rules, he does whatever he wants, so RPing with him has a kind of freedom that some other characters don't get.

It's hard to make a character completely unique when you have nearly 100 of them, but I guess what makes Crowley unique is his personality. None of my other OCs behave or react to things the exact way he does.

Lore for King would be awesome, Blood!

Crowley's a great RP character to use because he'd probably do whatever you need to get the plot progressing. XD

As far as uniqueness goes, I think #FGRaven is pretty obvious. XD But his personality is also unique from others: he is usually disinterested in what is going on, hates getting involved in anything, and is always sleep-deprived, evident by the dark rings under his eyes. The only "jokes" he can make are puns, and they never come off as funny. He is very blunt with sharing his emotions (which are always negative so he wears a constant scowl), though he tries - and fails - to hide his crushes on girls. But in the end, he has a sense of duty and loyalty that few others possess.

Also I'm an idiot because I meant to name him Wren back then but mixed up my birds and named him Raven instead. Wren would've suited him so much more

Just dropping in to say that this weekend's going to be crazy for me, between watching the kiddos and studying algebra for the math GED test. I'll try to do what I can for the RP, but I can't guarantee I'll even be half awake ':s Just remind me to keep my posts short and simple

I say #SPOmen just because he all over the board, with two polar opposite souls in one body, he can go from one extreme to the next in a heart beat, he can be sweet and caring to a jerk the next moment. Also I think out of all my OC he has the most unique and signature hairstyle, that I just love x'D

Question of the day: Where do you usually start when creating stories? The character or the world?

Ooh that's a bit tricky.

I'm new to story telling/stories. But I started with characters first and built a world to fit them and their needs, though it took quite a while for me to do so. From a few days, months, to years. It all depends on how far I want to go.

But I always start with the character now and build a world to fit their needs, size and general life.

For example,

The Zeharu world (Zyzaniah) is roughly the size of our planet Jupiter.

Zeharu are massive serpents, needing room to fly and thrive. Their air is also deadly to humans (breathing in, not skin contact), so they'd need special masks to explore it and a way to fly. Foreign invaders often don't survive there. Zeharu also aren't the only life on their planet, I just keep forgetting (Being too lazy) to draw some x'D

I would do the Xanos World, but I feel I've rambled enough and that's still very much a Work in Progress.

For me, I usually start with the characters in a story, usually the villains to be honest XD Then I'll either work on the world or the heroes.

I've noticed I tend to put a /lot/ more thought into my villain OCs than my good guys, with Zurie and maybe a couple others being the exceptions. My good guys are good for the sake of being good X'D

I also tend to start with the character - more specifically, with the ability or personality. One character I made started out with the concept of short-range teleportation. From there, I came up with a mischievous, evasive boy who uses his abilities to escape trouble. Then came the semi-modern city where magical beings co-exist despite the presence of species inequality, masked by pretty words and pictures.

But when it comes to roleplays, I'm almost forced to start with the world to make sure the character I make actually fits. XD

Most of my stories are built around the character, and the world usually isn't important or is only minimally described. Even in novel-length stories, I usually put the characters first and then build the setting around them. I often have a basic idea of the world setting before I start, and then work on it as I go along.

With RPs, I nearly always create the world first (at least on a basic level) and add characters that fit later. #ShacklestoneRP takes place in a modern fantasy world, so I had to use characters that suited it. #TheGiftedRP takes places in a medieval fantasy setting, so I choose characters that don't seem out of place in that.

When I first started to make characters I actually made the species first, I really didn't make an OC to use like I do now, I would come up with an idea for a creature (80% the time a dragon ) and how it would live in a fantasy world, a lot of the time I would pretend I was that Dragon and make stupid stuff out of cardboard boxes and others thing my grandma would let me make a poorly makeshift costume out of ( don't mock I was a kid and we didn't have fancy stuff like internet back then xp) I play as that Dragon with my siblings and cousins in a fantasy world that was my grandma backyard.

When I could I always like watching animal documentaries and with both my parents knowen a good deal about animals and nature, I guess thinking about species and there environment just come natural.

And I really don't make worlds as I tend to make universes, as most of my worlds and species intertwine and weave together, it makes for some pretty interesting and in depth storytales and the longer I have a species, expecially if it's one of my favorite it keeps building over the years.

This definitely has its pros and cons, as the possibilities are so vast and can do so much in the world's but The downside to this is some of my story are to big and intertwine with one another

The interesting about Catch is he was the first and the species was created after him, Catch was a concept I had long before I gave him an actual ref picture, mainly because back then I couldn't draw human but the idea around him was I wanted a character that could travel across my worlds and could interact with the different species, (also as a kid I imagine him going into some of my favorite cartoons and interacting in thought worlds) this is we're the Dreamers ability to change forms came from, to have a creatures who could take different forms to blend in with others.
I also had a lot of time to myself in my younger days, and was also teased about daydream or just taking naps, (I love sleep x'D) and I always like dreams and thought that the ability to move and control dreams was cool.

I could keep going on about that but I feel like I'm just rambling :'D

Now in RP, seen I only been in a few, I try to make a character that fits for that world, however I tend to ether change my characters Behavior or bring in newer characters to fill in gaps I see.

It depends, some old games are incredibly rare nowadays and you can sell them for a lot. Others aren't worth anything.
