The game feels so weird and foreign to me now, and I was only gone like... two weeks? If even That..?

Also, idk if I ever actually told you my reason behind "shipping" (Idk if I'd call it that, i guess I do kinda ship them but it's nothing hardcore, like I realize it'll never happen) Sonic and Shadow. I feel like I meant to explain it a long while ago, so here it is.

A while ago I watched a "The story you never knew" video by this YouTuber named treesicle, and he explained Shadow and Sonic's relationship in a way I hadn't ever considered it before.

Basically, he said that Shadow is like a verison of Sonic that knows loss. He's a constant reminder to Sonic of what he may become if he lost his friends, a reminder of what he's fighting for, and that he's also the reason that Sonic won't officially "date" anyone. Because he's afraid of being in love and experiencing what Shadow went through with Maria. Shadow and Sonic are like Yin and Yang, constantly reminding each other of what they're working toward.

I dont think Shadow hates Sonic, i think he loves the competition Sonic bring in his life. Shadow seeks out Sonic and fights with him, even in scenarios where he doesn't have a reason to except that he wants a challenge. Sonic is about the only person Shadow REALLY gives a fuck about in the games, sure he considers Rouge a friend, but she becomes white noise and gets shoved to the background --just like everyone else-- if Sonic is around.

I honestly think it'd be very possible for Shadow to love Sonic in a weird "You're the only thing I care about because you're the only thing that can match me" sorta way. I honestly think Shadow is jealous of Sonic, because he wishes he could be happy and carefree like him, but since he's known loss and despair he can't quite /feel/ positive emotions anymore.

SO IN A NUTSHELL, i could see them together as a couple as a way of helping each other through thwir weaknesses I guess. That, or that Shadow has a one way infatuation with Sonic (which I honestly hate the thought of because Shadow has been through enough pain for one video game character) in which, he seeks out Sonic in order to "fight" him and let off some steam.

Plus, making official couples woukd just piss off the fanbase considering they're insane and ship EVERYONE with EVERYONE

I can imagine SonAmy and ShadAmy fans literally rampaging if Sonic or Shadow were together, like it'd get pretty ugly LOL

Another reason the couple works is because shadow is literally the only character Sonic doesn't have to worry about taking care of. Shadow can well match his power--even overpower-- him, so Sonic would never have to worry about losing him, at least not to death.

At first I really did despise the ship altogether, but after giving it some thought.. it's really not as farfetched or "crackshippy" as I once believed it to be.

Idk if I ever told you why, but from a young age I always loves deer. When I was little my Meemaw used to play Bambi for me when is get home from school, nearly every day. I loved that movie. She passed away when I was 9 from lung cancer, so deer always have held a special place to me.

From what I've read, the dreams about losing teeth are caused by anxiety. Teeth are a symbol of strength/pride you use them when you smile or when you're comfortable and happy.

Sooo people with anxiety tend to have dreams about them falling out since they're timid, closed off, and the like. I've gotten a lot quicker with drawing, that part is fine for me now. There's still times where I struggle a little, but for the most part I dont have too many problems. Just.. coloring upsets me to the point of wanting to give up most of the time.

I just can't /see/ colors the way I want to. Every time I color I just wanna erase it and leave it blank.

I think my technique is bad too, i dont have too much practice with coloring and I really don't understand it. Like I get shading, hilighting throws me off no matter what.

When I look at other people's art and how they mix colors and shit I just get overwhelmed and feel so trashy about everything I do.

I know it's not fair to compare my art to other people's but I always do and I always end up losing motivation over it.

I'm feeling super shitty rn goddamn it.

Every time I try to be better at something it feels like I get progressively worse. I'm literally trash.
