Charlie is a rather laid back and calm kind of guy, he had been that way most of his life, of which was a good one for the most part.
He grew up and lives in a small, somewhat simple town, in a small world. He was quiet but hyper as a kid, and even though most of that faded away as he aged, he is still friendly and quite the character. He spent his days like any other of this realm, doing school, actives, work and so on. Life for him wasn't boring, just very simple, that was up until he was in his middle teens or so, after that things weren't so simple anymore, but in a good way.
After he got a certain job (that he never considered an actual job for many reasons), he spent a lot of his time in the next three years not only working on his swordplay, something he enjoyed doing very much, but also teaching it. This turned out to be one of the best things to ever happen to him.
Time skip to a later time, he went through some hard times. Despite this, he made sure to not let the events change him like it might do others. He kept his head, but a couple particular moments have left a mark on him, both physically and emotionally... They consisted of leaving loved ones and big risks that could potentially end badly. In some ways, it did end badly, but in others it didn't. To Charlie it didn't matter what happened, he just wanted the events to be over quickly. They did end rather quickly, but only more was to come his way.
Now to more of a present time, he's currently on a mission, the details of this mission are only between him and another trusted person he knows well. He works on this a little bit at a time, mostly to not draw attention to himself as it's dangerous and could get him into a lot of trouble, but also because his family doesn't know what he's doing.
(A more detailed backstory will probably come later.. for now this is all.)

Ahh he's so cool!! I love his backstory too - it's not overdone but it's still interesting! x)
