Airiah is a phoenix and dragon hybrid, she was saved by Captain, who ended up raising and caring for her. He became a father to both dragons seen in this picture.
The smallest (green/bluish one) is Nina, and the youngest. She was discovered as an egg not too long ago by Captain. Both him and Airiah help care for and protect Nina.
Nina and Airiah have become like sisters, even though not related in the slightest, their bond is strong. And despite Nina being very young, her powers are becoming stronger each day. Though they're unique powers, she has the ability to, whoever she's bonded with, increase their magical and/or physical strength greatly.
Though it often tires Nina out quickly and she'll snuggle up in Airiah's soft feathers to sleep. A couple times she's fallen asleep on Airiah's head and has been mistaken for a feathery hat.
