Kollin snorts, "YEAH! Adopt bro!"
Jalen averts his attention from both James and Kollin, his face turning a bright red. "I would like to adopt a baby girl..."

James nods and puts his hands on his hips "alright a lil girl then" he smiles proudly

Jalen quickly looked over at James, he looked genuinly shocked, "YOU WERE SERIOUS! W..wait...and you heard my mumbling!"
Kollin crossed his arms and hummed, "One question, you are still looking for James sister right? Wouldn't a child hold you back?"
Jalen's ears lowered a bit, but he nodded, "I promised that I would help James find his sister...no matter what."

James smiled lightly "It was just a question. Doesn't mean we have to adopt now, just.. later when everything is settled down." He put a hand on Jalens shoulder " 'sides a lil rascal wouldnt hold us back if anything she'd make it more interesting." He laughed lightly.

Kollin rolled his eyes, "So, where do you plan on searching first...?"
Jalen's face went blank for a moment before speaking, "I have know idea..."
Kollin narrowed his eyes, "Maybe...you guys really should just settle down for a while...you both must be brain dead...I mean...James has been wandering everywhere and must be sick of it...and you....you tamed a dragon and mined your a.ss off all month!"
Jalen rubbed his neck and then looked at James. "You want us to stay..."
Kollin grit his teeth and puffed, "Of course I do...please don't leave just yet...I was trying my hardest to accept it...but I thoght of so many bad things that could happen to you...and I just don't want to worry about that just yet. I might be sounding selfish, but I don't want you to leave me to myself and an empty house...."

James scratched the back of his head "I don't mind staying in one spot for a while.. especially since It where I met all of you wonderful people. Ahh.. though I can't promise I can stay I get ansty if I stay in an area for too long yah know?"

Jalen leaned down and muttered, "Wherever you want to go I will be with you..."
Kollin screamed, "YES! YES! I am so happy you are staying!"
Jalen glanced over and he sighed, "I think we she start our little break by finding a wonderful child..."
Kollin sneered, "One that likes adventure and dragons?"
Jalen took James hand gently into his own, "Of course. Where is the closest center?"
Kollin pointed down the hill, "In town...not to far from the store...Wait...are you going to come back?!"
Jalen looked at his brother with his usual straight expression, "No...we are going to another planet after this...we will never come back."
Kollin, still not understanding his brother's sarcasm, started to tear up. "Noooo..."

James blushed slightly from hearing Jalen his ear flicked slightly. He turned his attention to Kollin and snickered a bit "If we could go to another planet I'm pretty sure we would of by now. We're not going anywhere Kollin." He gave him a thumbs up"So dont worry" James took Jalen by the hand "common don't wanna waste any time" he started to quickly walk with him into town.

Jalen chuckled softly as he was pulled by the smaller male, "Hmm...So just past the store right..." As the passed the store, Jalen heard something, a crashing noise from the store, he took it as usual roughhousing until Johnny smashed through the window with a woman being choked from his tight grasp on her throat.
Jalen pulled James close and covered his eyes, then he brought him away from the scene, he knew he would hear it later on. "Here we are..." He pulled his hand away from the others eyes.

James looked over to the scene but his eyes was immediately covered before he could register what happened or what was going on. Upon pulling his hand away from his eyes James rubbed them a bit as they were adjusting to the sudden light change. "What was going on back there??" He looked at Jalen quite concerned. He looked up at the center and memories of his own orphanage flooded his head. He felt very nostalgic.

Jalen grunted, "It will most likely come up later...I don't know what happened...and I would rather not be worried about it when we are looking for our baby..." His attention drifted from the building to James. "You ready?"

James nodded though he'd be lying if he said he wasn't a bit concerned. "Right. Come on lets go find her shall we?" He smiled lightly and walked inside the center with him.

Jalen walked in with James, he looked around and saw little children playing on the floor in a room beside the entrance. To the otherside was a small nursery, with babies and toddlers resting in their cribs. "Look...at all these orphaned children...they...they all deserve to have families...I feel so bad for them..." He walked into the nursery, a woman approached them, she had a baby in her arm and a bright, welcoming smile on her face, "Good evening, are you looking to adopt?"

James looked around and smiled lightly. "The younger ones will find families eventually though the older they get the harder it will be. Just speaking from experience." His ear flicked slightly "O-oh um good evening Miss. We are looking to adopt." The woman caught him off guard and was a bit surprised when she approached.

Jalen looked at the baby in the woman's arms, it was sleeping softly, bundled in a little pink blanket. "Do you...by any chance...get to know the child's past?"
The woman stared at Jalen for a bit, as if fixed on his posture, or just the way he looked, "U...Um yes sir...for instance, this lil girl was found not to far from here...in the mountains. Her family must have died from the avalanches that had happened just a few months ago. Somehow she made it out alive...I love learning about the children here..though it is certainly depressing..."
Jalen eyed the baby for a moment then sighed, "Yeah."

James pouted slightly hearing about the babies parents. "It's very depressing.." he looked at the baby in the woman's arms and without much thought reached over and gently brushed a hair from the babies face. He smiled lightly then realized what he was doing and pulled his hand away quickly "A-Ahh sorry. Sorry.." his face flushed from embarrassment.

The woman smiled softly, then held out the baby to James, "I can tell you want to...here...you may hold her."
Jalen looked over the baby and took notice of the baby's ears. "I think...she is the one James...don't you?"

James carefully took hold of the baby quite unsure on how to hold her he did his best to mimic how the woman was holding her moments ago. "Woah hey there.." the baby woke up and stared at James. He couldn't help but smile "I mean we just met her and I love her already.. it's a bit odd.."

"She is truly captivating isn't she? I believe you two would be the perfect parents for her."
Jalen smiled and then placed his finger to the childs nose, "You really think so? I myself can agree James will be perfect at it...but I fear my aura might make it difficult for me." His eyes were a lot more lively, they showed how much he loved James, and their new baby.
The woman hummed, "I am sure you two will work it out...hold tight, I will get her papers..." then she turned and went to the back of the orphanage.

The baby grabbed on to Jalens finger with her small hand. "Ahh can't believe we're gunna be parents soon. " He smiled up at Jalen. "I think your aura will be just fine you know. You're gunna make a good dad" James chuckled softly.

Jalen leaned over to kiss James a small kiss on the cheek, "Thank you...that gives me some assurance..."
The woman came back out with some papers and sprawled them out on a small table beside the entrance, "Here you are...both of you just sign these and you will be able to take her home with you."
Jalen looked the papers over before taking a pen the lady offered to him. Once he filled everything out he placed the pen down and reached out his hand to gesture, but he pulled it back, hesitant to ask to hold the fragile girl.

James smiled and carefully held her out to Jalen "go on and hold her. You'll be fine I promise." James set the small child in Jalens arms and then looked over the papers himself before signing it as well. "Oh wait we forgot the most important part. What will we name her?"

Jalen blushed when the baby was set into his arms, he looked at her and then snorted a bit after James asked his question, "We should name her Janie...just to keep the J think going..." He kissed the baby's head softly and cradled her.

James snickered then laughed "Well that certainly will be interesting." He nodded "Alright Janie it is." He looked at the woman "Does she have any belongings? Like a stuffed animal or blanket?"

The woman held up a finger, "Yes...just one moment...I will give you her belongings."
Jalen smiled at Janie, not wanting to look away, or even blink, because he thought if he did, it would all just be a dream and he would wake up with nothing. It has been that way since the moment he first laid eyes on the handsome thief he is now proud to call his darling. "...She has belongings...wait...like...more than this pink blanket?"
The woman returned with a small doll that looked worn and poorly made, attached to it was a small pearl that was the only thing to be secured on tightly with stitching. "This is her doll...it was on her when she was found. It may seem old, but she clutches this thing like it is her life. Please take good care of it." She placed the doll on Janie's chest.
Jalen nodded as he handed the baby back to James, "Thank you ma'am..." He grabbed the papers and he gave her some money, "Time to go home little one..."

James craddled the baby and booped it on the nose lightly receiving a giggle in return. He looked at Jalen and smiled happily "Common let's go introduce her to Kollin, he's gunna be excited that he's an uncle." James laughed slightly.
