Some special chemicals within the plant merged with her own, granting her superhuman abilities, as well as being able to survive many to all poisons. :0
She first found about her strength when she flung a boy through three walls in her school for trying to hit on her. :'D
Everyone already thought it was pretty strange how she survived the explosion, but now this?
She labled a freak by everyone, and even by her own mother. :(
Feeling like she didn't belong anywhere, she fled her town to live on her own.

Being alone makes you rough, and Sue learned how to look out for herself.
And to be able to use her new chemical abilities to mend any injuries she would get.
Around this time, P2, a Great-in-training was romping in the woods, when he discovered Sue, carrying a pheasant over her shoulder.
He walked up to her, asking what she doing, only to have her tell him to 'get lost'.
P2 persisted until she gave up and let him join her. :P She was a BIT lonely, but she'd never let him know it. xD

When he asked if she was camping out, she flatly told him her mom kicked her out, she had no place to go. Not that she cared now.
Shocked, P2 offered to help her, but she refused, saying she survived this long, so she didn't need an annoying kid's help. :'D
Despite this, P2 decided to help her by using the credit of a superhero to get things from town, and bring it to Sue.
"Why would you help out someone you don't even know?", she asked.
P2 answered, saying that's what he was taught, and plus, it feels nice to help out. :p

Sue, being shunned for those few years still didn't get it, but hey, this guy was giving her stuff like blankets, pillows, and clean water, so may as well milk for all he's worth.

Sue later joined him on missions when she was bored.
Unlike P2, Sue shows no mercy to enemies, and charges headfirst into battle.
This gets her into trouble most times because she underestimates the enemy.

After about year, Sue decides to move on ( They both are about 9, she's a few months older ).

Jeez P2, I did not know you could make characters like this. I was going to make a Hulk joke when you said she got her powers from a nuclear power plant, but now....I don't know.

P2 asks if she'll ever come back.
She doesn't know, but says don't count on it.
She punches his shoulder, still keeping her serious expression, and promptly leaves.
