So yeah! Exactly what it says on the tin. Uh, painting. Uh, picture. Whatever.
I've chosen my top 12 paintings of this year, one for each month! You can see them in this tag here: #RKbestof2017
Honestly, I chose these paintings not only because I've improved so much throughout this year, but because I had fun drawing them too!
January- I chose this one because it honestly was my best at that time, and I was really quite proud of the shading and the perspective that I managed to do.
February - Again, I was really proud of the shading and the anatomy of this one, even though it took forever to work out on paper.
March - This one was my favourite purely because I was just so excited to reach 50 followers!! At the time, I never thought I would ever get that far. But hey, look at me now!
April - Doggo bros!! I chose this because I just,, I love it, and I'm still kinda proud of how they actually look like doggos.
May - Of course I'd choose the painting I made of my beautiful boy Dispair, my original OC, on his birthday. Plus, it was the second redraw I did of the first painting I ever did on Colors!, so it really showed how far I'd come in three years.
June- This one was a little hard, but I had to go with the story about Emilia telling Ango about her dad again, because I was just so in love with the story that I had begun to create and weave into the whole main one.

July - Another story-based one, but it was the first drawing I'd made of Oscar since his initial creation as an edgy alter-ego and showed his transformation into an edgy older brother. I was also really proud of the anatomy on that one too, and the blood effects.
August - I DREW SO MUCH IN AUGUST YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND XD But I finally decided on the art trade I did with @Dragonologist of her character Edward to be the best of that month, purely because I think I actually did the shading quite well (and TF2 Spy references are always great).
September - I couldn't really find one for September, so I went with the mini comic thing I did for a scene that happened in @Radiant Raindragon's amazing Shacklestone RP!! I guess choosing it was more because it's something that really made my year by being part of something so cool, and something that actually created most of Mortikai's and Ango's backstory, as well as how the Brinks function.
October - The spooky month was when I finally drew one of my OCs that I never really talk about due to the fandom they come from because I know that there'd be at least one person who goes "this is bad because the fandom is cringe lol" and I have a really hard time dealing with those sorts of people (especially when I live with two of them :))))) I also really loved the shading I did on it!!
November - Ah, yes, the beginning of the mini acid-art revolution. I honestly had so much fun making this, and it was just a nice cool thing to sketch out and not have to worry so much about the colouring and the shading because it genuinely looked pretty okay.
December - Originally I was going to choose the Christmas picture I did, but I was so much more proud of the first pictire of Delta (who I got from the lovely @capndeer!!) that I made because, again, it genuinely looked good!! And that's a first for me, thinking that my art is actually good and being proud of it for quite some time too!!

Ooh, nice! I checked the tag to look at the chosen art pieces and they're all amazing, you've improved a lot this year!
(I love how one of them is the Jed and Toby drawing, that one was adorable.)
