Deeno's heart races as she runs through the forest, with many thoughts goingnthrough her head. Would they be ok? Is it too late? What is going on? (Please my friends, be ok!) She said to herself. Dartrix struggles to keep up with her as she runs, being a bird he naturally flies more often then running on little legs. Eventually, they run into a roadblock, "My goodness!" Dartrix marvels, "Look at these huge tree roots blocking the path! What could have caused this?" Deeno steps back, getting ready to charge straight through them, "They have to be on the other side of this! I'm coming!" She headbutts straight through some of the roots, but some little ones tangle up her legs, "Oof! Eh, I'm stuck! Mmmph!" Dartrix carefully walks over roots and helps to untangle Deeno, "This is no time to be reckless, Denio. Imagine if I weren't here to help you. Whatever we run into we must keep a level head and remain calm. We don't want to run into a trap or anything like that."

"You're right, I'm sorry." Deeno says. After traversing through the mess of roots and vines, they come across an opening..And a very haunting sight, "NO!!!" Deeno screams. There were all her friends, tied up in tree roots, completely unconcious. Deeno hides her face beneath Dartrix's wing, afraid of the sight she was seeing. Dartrix was shocked, it looked like a Horror scene. They looked limp, and even their colors were washed out. You couldn't tell if they were alive or not. Dartrix slowly walked up to Peekatchu and examined him. He was speechless, it felt like being the first to arrive at a murder scene. Dartrix checked for Peekatchu's pulse, and then checked other signs, "Deeno, it's ok, they're not dead..." Deeno slowly pulls her head out from under his canopy, "Th-th-they're, alive?" "Yes...but barely. They're not moving, but they are alive, but considering how cold it is and how long they've been here, they hardly have much longer to live."

Deeno looks around, while Dartrix continues to examine, "Yes....yes...The boy seems to be, in a transe...asleep!" "This tree has an eye!" Deeno exclaims. Dartrix walks beside Deeno and sees the Trevenant, rooted in the ground, his eye also closed, "Trevenant, a ghost and grass type." Dartrix then begins to put the pieces together, "Yes...Roots, asleep, night, AHA! Forest's Curse!" "Forest Curse?" Deeno asks. "Yes," Dartrix explains, "Forest's Curse! That is a move used by Trevenants, and one with many strange effects. The effect of the attack is very situational, and depends on the users intent as well. It looks like, everyone is trapped, both physically and mentally." Deeno is confused, "How does that work?" "AH, yes, well, I deeply study Ghost types and curses, as well as dreams. Some Curses are meant to cause harm physically, and some meant to harm mentally. This Curse seems to be a mixture of both. The roots squeezing the prey slowly drain the life out of the victim-"

-And a Dream Curse is cast to keep them unable to escape. However...it seems like the Trevenant is stuck under the curse as well...very odd." Deeno then rushes up to Charmandah and begins yanking on the roots, "Then we need to free them asap!" Dartrix quickly grabs Deeno and holds her back, "NO! Don't do that, you could make the roots end up squeezing even tighter! The only way he'll be free is if he frees himself!" "But you said he couldn't!" Deeno exclaims. "Yes, I did say that, but I meant physically. There is only one trap, the Dream trap. The roots are just a physical representation of the trap he is facing within. He is trapped in a dream right now, and the only way he can escape is if he does so himself." "But isn't there ANYTHING we can do?" Deeno pleads. Dartrix knods, "Yes. We can communicate to him, but only if he manages to overcome his trap..." Deeno rests her hands on Charmandah and speaks to him, "Please Charmandah, I know you can do it. Please, overcome this..."

Glub glub glub...

Charmandah's body slowly sinks beneath the waves. Engulfed in water, the fire type sinks, his thoughts wonder as he thinks his last.
(Water...I hate it so much...It's just so wet, and cold...why can't it be warmer. Also water kills me, so that's not cool either. I am so afraid of it, but it figures that this is the way I would go, drowned by my worst nightmare...I didn't even get to eat any of my candy...mmmm, poor, delicoius candy. At least I had that milkshake from Riolunator...
Hey...How come I'm still thinking to myself? Aren't I dead by now? Oh man, do I dare open my eyes?)

He does, however, and is amazed! He's still underwater! And alive! "Hey! I'm alive! And speaking underwater!" He loopdeloops and even sees his tail, still lit! "I'm more than alive! I feel great! But, how is this even happening!?" Charmandah looks downward, and happens to notice a trapdoor, with light seeping in, "There! That way must be the exit!"

Charmandah swims his way to the hatch and begins to pull it open, but it won't budge, "Come on, open you dumb door!" He pulls and pulls but to no avail. "Hey, if my tail is still lit, maybe I can still use my fire attacks!" Charmandah puffs up his cheejs and exhales a big Flamethrower, (Awesome!!! It works!) Charmandah stops and then examines the door. "Oh no!" Charmandah had just melted the handle! The door was still shut tight! "Gosh darn it!" Charmandah stomps on the door and it flings open! He falls in it and lands in a strange area, "Ow! Oh, I guess it was a push door, not a pull, heheh."

Back in reality, the vines on Charmandah loosen, and hebfalls to the ground, "Charmandah!" Deeno runs over to him and hugs him tightly, "My goodness, he did it!" Dartrix exclaims. Deeno holds him tightly, but realizes he us still cold! His flame is still low, and his color draining, "What, why isn't he awake?!" Dartrix sits beside her, "It's not that easy dear, theres more to it than just that."

"Rest your hand upon him," Deeno does as Dartrix instructs her, "Close your eyes. We'll be able to see him, as well as speak to him."

Charmandah stands up, and looks around, "Hey, I'm free!" Charmandah turns around and sees that his tail fire is still blue, "Wait a minute...No I'm not..." He then quickly notices that the trees are all miscolored, and theres an earry purple fog. Theres even paintings hanging of Peekatchu and Skwertle, "What is this place?" Charmandah asks anominously. Suddenly, his questions are answered,

/Hello? Can you hear me?/
"What?! Who's that!?"
/My name is Dartrix, and with me is one of your friends./
[Hi Charmandah! Are you ok?]
"Deeno!" Yes, I am! Where am I?"
/You're trapped in a dreamworld Charmandah, and so are your friends! Each of you got trapped in their worst nightmare.,You're the only one who managed to escape on their own/
"That explains a lot. So is that why my tail fire is blue?"

/Blue fire? Well, blue fire represents spirits, so, it must be your spirit that is trapped./
"So how do I get out?"
/Where are you currently?/
"Well, I escaped the nightmare and am now in a forest. Well, it looks like the real one, but, its also different. And there are large paintings of Peekatchu and Skwertle!"
/Listen to me. Those paintings are your friend's nightmare worlds. You must go into them and help them escape./
"But I got out of mine, won't they get out by themselves too?"
/There are some people who need help to overcome their fears, and there is no time! If you three don't escape soon, your bodies are going to freeze to death! You can only return once all of your spirots are freed, whether by conquering the curse, or being, *gulp* permanently separated./
"Oh man, this is bad..."
