Oh! I do have a tip for making them align! Basically, start out with a rectangular shape for the head. The top line is the limit for the top jaw, and the bottom line is the lower jaw. If the mouth is open, make the end of the rectangle wider. Sometimes, I'll measure the top and compare it to the bottom to see if they're the same length. I can do it visually by imagining the mouth closing; if the bottom lip doesn't meet the top without stretching forwards or shrinking, then it's good.
I hope that makes any sense! If not, I can probably whip up a tutorial on my sketch account. ;)

If I may give a suggestion, maybe make the lower jaw longer next time? That way the top and bottom are the same length. :)

Sometimes, I'll measure the top and compare it to the bottom to see if they're the same length. I can do it visually by imagining the mouth closing; if the bottom lip doesn't meet the top without stretching forwards or shrinking, then it's good.
