So Axel is an only child. Simple.
It also turns out that Axel's parents bring out a soft side in him!
Quick little story:
Axel and Markus got in a fight in 9th grade (the year Axel was an exchange student). It was during training for the school soccer team and it was, for some odd reason, entirely in German (since Axel had lived in Dortmund for a couple of years)

Also, Soren still plays professional soccer! He plays as a goalkeeper for Rosenborg BK in Norway while Axel still plays for Dortmund's academy (now the Under-18s and he's made a few starts for their first team, obviously this is fiction so he hasn't really done so irl)

Also Nikita is Ukrainian-born and moved to Oslo when she was young, while Soren was born in Rosenborg and met Nikita in Oslo while on a night out after winning a game there. He soon moved to Dortmund for a 5-year stint with the club, beforr moving temporarily to Oslo while he was still a Free Agent, where they had Axel. Soon enough Soren was enjoying a second spell at BVB and that's where Axel grew up for most of his life, fluent in Norweigan and German, and he spoke a little English.
