"What the heck is going on?" Charmandah asks himself, "This doesn't really look like a good thing..." Suddenly, a single drop of water drops from the dark cloud above and lands on Charmandah's nose. *Boop*
Charmandah backs up terrified, "Oh no...R-r-r-RAIN!?" Rain, one of Charmandah's worst case scenarios, not only because if type effectiveness, but if the fire on a Charmander's tail gets put out, that's it, that Charmander is a goner! "I've got to get out of here!" As Charmandah ran towards the door to escape, the rain started pouring harder and harder, but he kept on pressing! But when he finally got to the wall... "What!? Where, where did the door go! It vanished!" As he panicly searched the wall, the floor started to puddle. He's trapped in here! The water behind him started forming together, and became a massive wave! With the water rushing at him, all he could do is RUN!

Meanwhile, back with Deeno, she ran all along the streets looking for her friends, but they were nowhere.

Deeno ran over to a tree and lay against it to catch her breath, she didn't know where else to look, "This is terrible! They're lost!" She sobbed. She had to rethink her strategy. She thought back to when they had visited her earlier that morning, "Let's see...um...they were...walking around. They made a map and needed to rest...They had just been through...the park! It's the only place that I have left to look!" Deeno quickly made her way over to the park and began looking around, "This place is so huge! There's so much area to cover, and I can hardly see a thing." But she kept on anyways, and turned on her flashlight. She walked around and around, looking for signs of anyone...besides Mudkip, but the park seemed to be completely abandoned. She checked in every trash can, up every tree, and in every Taco wrapper that Mudkip had thrown, but all hope seemed to be lost.

Dartrix came out of his tent once more to check the stars again, when he noticed a stranger wondering the park.

"Someone wandering? With a flashlight in hand? And at this time? Perhaps they are looking for something...Or...are they the kids from earlier!" He got up and stretched his wings, "Whoever it is, I should see how I can help!" Dartrix flies over to Deeno to see what's up.

"Hello? No."
"Hello? Not here either! Oh where could they b-OH!"
"..."
"No, not there. *sigh*"

As Deeno continues scavenging, Dartrix flies up above her, "Hoo?" Deeno is a bit shaken up by sudden noise, "H-hello?! Is someone there?" She looks around but sees nobody. "*Cough, cough* I'm sorry, I meant, who are you! I get that wrong sometimes and I don't understand why." Deeno looks up and sees Dartrix coming down. She's not sure how to react as she's never seen this person before. Dartrix lands and bows, "Sorry for the sudden appearance. My name is Dartrix, and I happened to notice you seem lost."

Deeno steps back and says to him, "I'm not interested in anything that you're selling, thank you." "Selling!?" His eyes widen as he makes himself clear, "I'm no solicitor! I'm a student." Deeno is even more uncomfortable, "A student? For what?" "College. You see-" "Out this late at night?!" "Well, yes, the thing is-" "Are you one of those naasty teens that go around doing bad things!? Please leave me alone!" "What!? Where is this even going? Ma'am, please, I am only-" "Did you do something to my friends?!" "Are your friends by chance a Squirtle and or Pikachu?" "Yes! GASP, So you DID do something to them!!"
Dartrix then realises he had found a friend of theirs, and celebrates, "Yes!" "GASP!! YOU DID!!! HOW COULD YOU!!" "W-w-what?! No, you've got it all wrong!!! Now just hold on for a minute and let me-" "HELP! POLICE! CHILD ASSAULTER-"
"OK, LISTEN for a second!" He covers her mouth and quickly explains, "Yes I know your friends I'm not a bad guy and calm down."

He lets go of her mouth and she remains silent, "Are you looking for your friends?" He asks her calmly. "Yes," She answers, "They've disappeared..." Dartrix remembers his time with Skwertle earlier and begins to worry, "Oh, my. I was afraid of this possibility...You see, they were taking a stroll through the forest, yet, only one of them came out. He waited awhile and then went in back after them, but they never returned. I had thought maybe they had gone out the other way, or perhaps were having some sort of rave in the woods. But your statement just now has revealed the worst. Quickly, we must go and find them! Climb on my back and I'll fly us." Deeno had to think for a moment, (Am I being led into the woods by a possible child assaulter? No, don't think that. I can sense him though, he feels genuinely caring, and my friends lives are at stake! And besides, if worse comes to worst I can just pummel him anyways. Looks like my Dad obsessively training me has its perks!)

She climbs upon Dartrix' back and they fly toward the forest.

Back to Charmandah...
"AAAAAAHHHH!!!" The wave grows in size, as Charmandah is left frozen with awe and terror. It's as if the wave is glaring at Charmandah. Then, "!" Charmandah regains his strength and realises that he has to make a run for it! He darts off away from the wave, and no sooner does the wave burst and follow suit. Charmandah races away from th wave, but it slowly creeps behind him, "Aaah! Why is this happening! It's like my worst nigtmare come true! Is it?!" He hardly had time to ponder though, as if he slowed down for even a second, he would become water fodder! It quickly began feeling agonizing to run, as Charmadah grew tired, "Can't stop! I have to keep the pace!" Charmandah looks back, and notices that he managed to finally make some distance between him and the wave. But as he turned to look forward once again, a dead end was up ahead! "No way!!!" However, there was also a tall pole. Could he climb it?

Looks like he was about to find out! There was no time! He tried to climb up, but it was rather slippery! He slid down and the wave was only seconds away from crushing him! The fear if death loomed over his head, but he pressed on and bolted up the pole! It was difficult, but he managed to get just above the wave! It just barely missed him, but as soon as it crashed into the wall, it splashed everywhere! "Aaagh!" After that though, it seemed to have calmed. "Phew." Charmandah tried tomrelax as his heart raced, but it was far from over. "Eek! That's cold! Wait, what the!?" Charmandah's foot was touching the water! But he didn't go down at all. Could it be? The water started rising! "Why is there no end!?!" He cried. Well, there was no way but up! Charmandah scurried up the pole even higher!

Deeno and Dartrix scanned the forest, looking everywhere, but alas, to no avail. "The tree tops are too dense to see anything below." Dartrix told Deeno,

"The only way that we would be able to search anymore is if we went down below and wandered the woods on foot! But that could take hours." Deeno was not deterred, and her determination only grew, "Then if that's what it'll take, then take us down." Dartrix was surprised with how stern she was in her voice, but expected such an answer, "Well, if you are willing. There is a small opening there, let us drop through there." Dartrix went down and landed in the opening. The same opening that Peekatchu had witnessed the moon earlier. Deeno hopped off of Dartrix and turned on her flashlight, "Come on, we must not waste any time!" She said. Dartrix was honestly amazed by this young girl's strength and enthusiasm, "You really do care for your friends." He said. "Yes, of course I do!" She responded, "I could never let anything ever happen to them!" Dartrix then added, "But your voice. You have no fear at all, not even a little bit! They must mean so much to you."

Deeno was about to respond, but she then started to think. Dartrix continued, "You have your mind set so straightly, no other option is available, only the one you are set on! Nothing will deter you! It's really quite inspiring." Deeno did not respond however, "Um, Deino?"

Deeno started to ponder deeply. She thought her father was always so different, but maybe, she was more like him than she thought. He taught her to fight for the goal and always stick to it. For her, it's her friends, and what she believes. For her father, it was fighting, and proving to others, and yourself. Maybe, she could learn to understand her father's decisions, and maybe even help him to open up more...

"Hello!?"
"Eek!" Deeno jumps. "I'm sorry!" Dartrix says. Deeno drops her flashlight, and it shine upon something in the distance. A Bag of candy!? "Look!" Dartrix states. Deeno runs over it. It had Peekatchu's name labeled on it, "Peekatchu!" Deeno reads. She looks ahead, and sees footprints in the dirt.

"Peekatchu? I thought it was Pikachu? Why would it just be mispelt-" "Come on!" Deeno runs ahead of Dartrix and into the darkness, "CHARMADAH!!!" She yells into the night.

As Charmandah scurrues up the pole, the bitter cold rain starts pouring down harder. Powerful gusts of wind blast him, and very small hail pelts him. Freezing, but still with will, he makes his way up to the top. The water stops rising under him, and turns into a powerful, raging storm! The waves crash into the pole, making it bend and wiggle. The waves were humongous, but they were just below Chamandah, "I can't do this!" He cried out. He held on as tight as he could, until, he heard something...

"CHARMANDAH!!!"

Deeno's voice quietly echoed throughout the storm, "Deeno...is that you?" Everything around Charmandah seemed to have halted. "Deeno..." After hearing her sweet voice, his grip began to slip, but he was not phased. He closed his eyes, with peace, "Can you hear me? Deeno!? Is that really you!?!"

Instantly, all of Charmandah's fear was gone, the waves had no power on him. The water poured even stronger, and the waves grew larger, but they couldn't control him anymore. Finally, one humongous wave came up and threatened Charmandah. It raced toward him. Charmandah closed his eyes and slipped! He fell rightnas the wave came crashing into him!

SPLASH!
