Gliese 477 by Traxx

Gliese 477e, aka "Sunset Planet" is a Mars sized body orbiting the Red Dwarf Star, Gliese Four Seven-Seven. It is a tidally locked world with one side forever day and another forever night. It became a Staten territory and is used for mining and tourism. No inhabitants have been found and currently hosts a small Staten colony.

Hi, cool painting. :)
But I'm a tad confused. When you say locked world, does that mean it's fixed, doesn't orbit that star? But, it must be, or else it would crash into it in a straight path. But if it were a locked world, that means that the world would have a new sol (the planet's day) each year. That means the planet would receive light from both sides, because it orbits the star, and doesn't rotate.. However, if the planet were rotating a specific way as it orbits the star, it could potentially keep one side face the star forever. Kinda like earth's moon. And yea.

Na, I just like space stuff and talking about it. Your fine. :P

Re: Space paintings always real me in somehow. I like space and it seems I'm not alone. :D
Thanks for liking my space paintings too, and on a side note, you explained it a lot better than I ever could. :)
