A design trade is when 2 people each design/make a character for the other person, the character created by the other person than belongs to you.

xD Well species are typically like, how do i explain them? like each indivisual artist creates a race of creatures that they make various designs for and give them to people.
(here's some examples. @Guineapigs24's #CupidDragon's or My #Auranight's.) it gets more complicated, If a species is open it means you can make your own, if closed either the creator has to make one for you or you get permmision from the creator of the species.
xD so... i'm not sure if you have any species.
