I should've commented on this way earlier but I absolutely love the backround!
If you think it looks weird, I think it has something to do with how Cuphead seems to be leaning to the left. I've noticed that sometimes when you draw characters posing, they tend to lean to the left.
Not sure if it's a stylistic choice or not but a way to make their posture look balanced is to flip the canvas from time to time, and fix anything that looks off.
