"Oof..."

"Ow..my head..."

Charmandah wakes up with a terrible headache, "Oh man, that was a rough fight. Am I, ok?" Charmandah opens his eyes and sees the pitch black darkness surrounding him, "Huh? Where am I?" Charmandah stands up and looks around, hoping to find one of his friends, "HELLO!?" He shouts, "Peekatchu!? Skwertle!? HELLO!!!" There is no response. He doesn't even have an echo to talk back to him, "I can't believe it? Where is this place? It's like I'm, dead or something." As Charmandah keeps turning around, he happens to notice his tail, which has a BLUE flare! "AAAK! My tail! It's blue!" none of this is making any sense to Charmandah at all! No sign of anything, and a blue fire instead of his usual red! "Maybe...I am dead. But wouldn't there be somebody to greet me at the pearly gates? Or is this the....*gulp* other place? Nah, this would be a lot more painful then." Charmandah stands straight an dusts himself off, "Well, I guess staying here won't help."

"But which way do I go?" Aside from the spotlight shining above him, there was nothing else anywhere in sight! That is, until a floating dot appears, "Ah, a dot?" Charmandah steps closer to it and trues reaching to touch it, but it moves away from him. As he stares at the one dot, more appear, which he discovers as soon as he looks away, "I'm surrounded by colorful dots! Something about them, seems familiar though...." Charmandah gazes into a red dot, and he hears the faint voice of his brother Charmelein! "Charmelein!? Are you trapped in there!?" However, it wasn't really Charmelein, it was a memory of him. All of the dots were memories of people close to him, "Mom, Dad, Peekatchu, everyone! Are they trying to tell me something? HELLO? WHAT ARE YOY TRYINGNTO TELL ME?!" The dots stop orbiting around Charmandah, and lone up into a straight line, perhaps they are leading him. Perplexed and, rather curious too, Charmandah follows the dots.

(If they are memories of people I love, you'd think that they'd be trying to help me, right?) He thought to himself. It made sense at least. And we have nothing to lose. Do we?

It's 11:O6 P.M. and Deeno is patiently looking outside of her window, "Oh, where could they be?" She asks herself. She sat there, sorrowfully, having no idea what has happened to her friends. Were they OK? Or did they forget about her? Both option hurt. It was too late to go out though, as her parents had arrived home. She quickly jumped into her bed as they entered the door, and walked up to her room.

*creeeak*

"See? She's fast asleep, there was nothing to worry about."
"Ohh, but her fever has gotten even worse. Poor girl..."
"She's fine. Now let her sleep, tomorrow is going to be a big day for her after all! She's going to fight in her first tournament after all!"
"Let's continie this converstion downstairs..."

Her parents close the door and head down. However, Deeno was deffinitely NOT asleep.

"I have to find my friends!" Deeno said to herself. She quietly got out of bed and head to the phone. She was about to call Charmelein's phone, but she thought her parents might hear her if she was talking. And her dad has phone senses. She head for the window, but climbing out certainly wasn't an option. The only way she could get out was through the front door. She waited a bit, hoping her parents would start arguing, then snuck out of her room. She went around the house getting various items as her parents debated. Both of her parents were purebread Hydreigons, a sweet, yet quiet mother, and a VERY rough and tough father.

"Our daughter is NOT going to be fighting tomorrow in her condition!"
"Are you kidding me! Of COURSE she's fighting! She's not going to let a pathetic fever stop her! I've fought with many illnesses before! If you tough through it, you'll overcome it!"

Deeno's father was a famous, competetive Pokemon battler. His stats are incredible, as are his daughter's, which he sees in her. He wants her to follow in his path, but often does not think of what she wants.

"You know, I'm glad she's not out tonight, doing that stupid Trick-or-Treating stuff. I've let her do it the past two years, but enougn is enough. She needs to grow out of these childish things and become tougher!"
"Honey, please, why don't ypu think of what SHE wants more often! She loves spending time with her friends! I feel awful for her that she has to miss out on the fun."
"That's the problem! Her 'Friends.' Look at all of the other kids in this neighborhood! They're WEAK! None of them do any battling, and just waste their time doing petty things! I wish she didn't ever make friends with them."
"HONEY!"
"They're a bad influence on her! You've seen how much time she spends with them! She's missing potential training time because of spending time with them!"

"That's because she wants to have a life!"
"A wasteful life! I don't want her thinking life is all about goofing off! And bleh, that Charmander kid, I hate him the most. What a disgrace. He has the most potential of all of Deeno's 'friends' yet he completely wastes it! And what's worse is that they spend the most time together! I moght have to restrict her from seeing him at this rate."
"You are forgetting what it was like when you were younger. Don't you remember when we fell in love?"
"Don't even get the thought of them in love in my head! My daughter isn't going to cross breed with a Charizard! She is going to marry a strong Hydreigon! One who's handsome and with great stats! Maybe they'll even meet in the ring like we did."
"She has a choice you know."
"She at LEAST has to marry a REAL Dragon type! Hahahah."

Deeno finally has gotten all of the stuff she needed, all while having to listen to what her father said.

Most of this she all ready knew about her father, but it still hurt nonetheless, but she is used to it. She ignores the pain and presses on, like her father taught her. She head out the door and made her way to the park. She knows her parents will be talking for another hour or so, and she knows they won't check in on her. Even if her father doesn't understand though, she knows the importance of friendship and doing what's right. "Please hold on Charmandah, you may not be a fighter, but you're MY fighter."

Charmandah continues to follow the dots, (Where are these things going to take me??) He thought to himself. Finally, they led him to a door, "A door! Is this the exit?" All of the dots quickly slid under the crack of the door, leaving Charmandah alone, "Well, I guess it is my turn now." Charmandah opens the door and covers his eyes as the light shines on him, "It's so bright, is this, outside?" No, it wasn't outside. It was a very white, square room. There wasn't much room on the ground, only like a regular living room, but the ceiling was high! "So, where am I? The door behind Charmandah faded away, and the dots flew into the air, forming a dark cloud, "Umm, I'm not liking the look of this."

That is the end of this part! Sorry if there wasn't much main event this time, but we finally get to learn of Deeno's family a bit. She's got it rough with her father, but she still loves him, because that's what's right. Well, I hope you've all enjoyed! : D

Darn. Deeno's father sure sounds cruel. I do feel a bit sorry for her... : /

Interesting... can't wait for the next part. I like the development of backstory/scenario here, it's really drawing me in.

Hey Witzke, so I'm currently asking everyone what color would suit Uju best between pale pink or cosmic purple (it's just a bunch of shades of purple with stars all over it.) What do you think? Pink, purple, or both?

re: Ikr! She's absolutly perfect! She'll just come and rest her head on your lap and look so sweet! And we'v only had her for a day now! She's also really good will small children and hasn't jumped on anyone!

Things are getting more mysterious. I wonder what's going on with Charmandah? Can't wait to see the next part!
