Chapter 2-- "I think she likes this present." Fire Flare's mother says. A second before the sun comes down, a blaze of fire comes from it, and blazes millions of miles toward the family in seconds. The flare springs into a pony made of fire. The family stares at it with their mouths in the shape of o's. The fire pony tries attacking the family, by trying to burn them. They all dodge. Now that Fire Flare knows that this fire pony is a threat, she flies up, then straight at the fire pony, charging. "No!" Her mother screams. But five seconds before Fire Flare hits the fire pony, she casts a spell that helps protect her. Just as Fire Flare hit the fire pony, her mother puts her head down, knowing that her daughter will die, and she couldn't do anything about it. Fire Flare charges in and through the fire pony. Fire Flare coughs up smoke. She's burnt all over her body. And her mane and tail is on fire. Her mother rushes over. "Your mane and tail!" She screams. "What about it?" Fire Flare asks. Her mother ingnores her question, cuz she knew her daughter was casted with that everlasting protection spell, so her mane and tail on fire will stay like that forever, without her caring. As soon as her mother turns around, she finds the fire pony holding Fire Flare's father, burning him. Her mother faints. Fire Flare flies over to her father. "Father! What spell can I do to save you?" Fire Flare asks. "Nothing. You're only at chapter four in your spellbook. You don't know any spells powerful enough to stop this. But it doesn't matter. God wanted this. God wanted me. He wants me up in heaven, with him. I will love you forever, my sweet little girl." Flare's father says, and he burns up. The fire pony then disappeares. It's over. Flare's mother wakes up. "That fire pony's gone? Yay! Where's your father?" She asks. "Mother, the fire pony kiIIed him." Flare says. "Honey, are you okay?" Flare's mother asks. Flare shakes her head. She felt the hot tears drizzle down her face.
