So did the group make it to the town yet or is Mina still leading them? I’m so sorry for disappearing last week, I really was intending to come back but dinner drawled on long and by the time it was over I was completely exhausted.

Mina stood in the snow, staring off into the distance. The only thing she had to protect herself from the frigid weather was a small scarf tied around her long neck, but it seemed like she ignored the horrid cold. There were more important things to do than shiver in the unpleasant temperature.

The Venatavis’ blue eyes scanned the icy distance, looking for any signs of life. The strange sound of birdsong still rung through her ears.

The red hair Dreamer could feel a slight difference in temperature as Eira rubbed him back, he smile with chattering teeth as he still shivered " yah, it's how I make all my clothes, well everything except my right gauntlet" he tilted his head curiously " why you ask?"

Purity Dreamer rubs her arms and stands beside Mina, unlike everyone else in the group, she didn't get involved in the snowball fight. "What do you hear, Mina?" she asks, noticing just how focused the Venatavis seems to be on something.

Dreameater crosses his arms very unhappily, but after watching Hiiro for a moment, his turquoise eyes widen as he looks away... //That aura... It's... it's Malice...!//

"Oh... well, you see," Terra starts to explain to Blue, making himself more visible again, "I'm a ghost, and spirits are unable to blush, so uh... I guess... I accidentally start to turn invisible instead."

"I'm sorry Mal" Alexandrea whispers, holding him against her chest, she wiggles her way out of the snowbank and moves to the group. Though she sticks a little behind everyone, "We do have a Nightmare with us, Dreameater, is that a problem for you?" she asks in a quiet voice.

"Snow is frozen rain" Hiiro says to Boo. Keeping the small dragon in his jacket to keep her warm.

"Oh" Blue frowns a little bit, "I've never met a ghost before, but I guess it's nice to meet you Terra" he dips his head. Kyro is watching the rest of the group, waiting for someone to continue moving the group forward.

Eira smiled up at Catch, a practical look in her eyes. "Well~, if your clothes are wet, then you can just recreate them with your light."

“Something...” Mina mumbles, replying to Purity’s question. “Like singing. Multiple people singing. It can’t be far away, wherever it’s coming from.”

The Venatavis turns around and looks to the rest of the group behind her. “E-enough fooling a....around.” She says, shivering a little bit. “We need to keep moving before we freeze to death.”

Mina began to trudge forward in the thick snow again. She was deathly cold, yet she tried her best to hide it from the group. For once she was doing something important to help them. She didn’t want to mess it up. The Venatavis held her wings against her side and squinted her eyes to see through the thickening snowfall.

Fiona silently smiled a bit at Terra before joining Kyro in watching the others. She kind of hoped the conversation wouldn't drift to /why/ Terra was a ghost...

Then she saw Mina starting to head somewhere again. "Looks like we're on the move again. Let's go!" The Elemental grinned briefly, hopping to her feet.

Crystal had never minded the cold, she actually quite enjoyed it most times, but this place was much more freezing than what she was used to. Her fingers felt numb and she couldn't stop from shaking despite wearing warm clothing. She kept her cloak pulled tightly around her, hoping it would make a difference against the cold, but really it didn't do much to help. To keep her mind off the low temperature, Crystal mostly watched her breath float through the air as she breathed, or stared at the ground as she quietly followed along with the rest of the group. Keeping a little distance as usual, she watched, surprised, as the others had started throwing snowballs at one another, she had no idea what lead up to this because she hadn't been completely paying attention at the time. She never joined them, but as it came to an end, a small smile replaced her surprised look and she just shrugged. 'Never a dull moment..' She thought and continued following.

Malice pin his big ears back and, his small body tensed up at what Alex just mentioned " under normal circumstances it would not be a problem....but without a frame I can not suppress my Darkness and those who can since it will know I'm here... Nightmares are territorial creatures and if he wants to be king then know would be his best opportunity to talk it, without my frame I have little to defend myself with " his small voice had an unusual hint of worriedness as he explained

"Snow is Rain But Frozen?! That so cool! It's like magic!" Boo said with excitement, her shivering wasn't as much now as she started to get warmed up

Alexandrea looked worried as she felt Malice tense up, "Don't worry, I won't let him hurt you Malice" she peeks into her jacket, down at him. "He'd have to reach into my jacket to get you and with all the candidates around, it wouldn't look good if I screamed or something" she can't help but pet Malice's head gently. Looking up, she noticed Mina going and followed the blue Venatavis

Dreamcatcher blinked at his wife for a moment " I didn't think about that, I can give it a try" the red hair Dreamer then gently pull away from Eira and steep back, he closes his eyes and focus his light on his clothing, the red hair Dreamer start to glow bright as he recreate his attire, after a quick moment the glowing subsided and Catch stood with his new but same looking clothing, he grinned and fiddled with some of the fabric " it work! My clothes are dry now" he looks to Eira " but what about yours? Your still wet?" He said concern, the red hair noticed the group started to move in the corner of his eye //it looks like we're going again?//

My brother listened to the Thomas the Tank Engine theme song the entire time while mowing the lawn?)

(Oh my gosh, Fade.

And for some reason, I feel like it would actually fit mowing the lawn. x'D)

Noticing they were on the move again, Eira started after them, matching Catch's pace. "I'll be fine. It's a bit uncomfortable, but at least I can't feel the cold." She glanced about. //Fiona still has my shawl, doesn't she? Ah, she needs it more than I do.//

(I suppose it would. X'D)

"Singing? ... I can't hear anything, but I guess it could be some form of magic?" Purity suggests, and glances back to everyone else as well.

The purple Nightmare suddenly reaches out with his left hand and grabs Hiiro's shoulder to get his attention, his claw blades forming on his other arm. "Get ready Hiiro, we've got company... I can sense Malice, he's coming..."

Ghost Terra vainly tries scratching the back of his head. "Yeah well, I never expected I'd be a ghost so soon, but..." He does't continue as Fiona speaks up, and starts floating beside her. "Oh, well that's good, we were trying to find the next town, weren't we...?"

( Malice *flip table* "DON'T RAT ME OUT TO THE DRAGON YOU COWERING WIMP!!")

Crimson follow along Crystal like he usually did, when the snowball fight broke out he just mumbled under his breath, he wasn't sure what was going on but had a good I guess it was some sort of shenanigans. "It's pretty cool here isn't it?" The dragon shapeshifter pulled his cloak around him more as he walked though the snow it was a lot harder now then he remembered navigating it when he could see we're he was going

Blue frowns as Terra doesn't continue, he's tempted to ask how he became a ghost or why he became one. But decides to keep it to himself, "It would be nice to get to town, get in somewhere warm, I can only keep Kyro out so long" he looks to his familiar, who's stood up and following the group. Blue follows Kyro.

(Eater: "HEY, I WAS GETTING RATTED OUT BY THE MOONBLOOD MESS /YOU/ MADE WAY BEFORE YOU WERE GETTING RATTED OUT! I'm just paying you back!!")

Malice had an unamused look as Alex pet his head, he couldn't bite her not when she was his only protection so he bit back his Pride and sucked it up. " Let us hope it doesn't come to that" he murmured

Fiona followed Kyro and Blue, sometimes darting ahead a few feet just to make sure the group was still in sight. "Yeah, I hope it's not too far from here..." Feeling the cold as they started moving, the Elemental held Eira's shawl a bit closer to herself with her one arm, "...I wouldn't have to borrow everybody else's stuff to keep warm if I still had my armor." She frowned, then mumbled "...I'm probably not getting it back anytime soon..."

Hiiro snarls as Eater grabs him, looking around after shrugging the Nightmare off. "Where? I don't see him" he looks around the snowy landscape, only seeing the other candidates. He puts a hand on his sword's hilt, the other holding Boo.

"I hope it doesn't either" Alexandrea hugs Malice to her chest again and speeds up her pace, doing a fair circle around Eater and Hiiro, chasing after Mina.

"Hmm... well, maybe you could get something new?" Terradream suggests, listening to the Elemental, "If there's an armory in the next town, that is. There probably should be... but then, if it was a Venatavis stronghold..." He then goes quiet in thought.

Catch boots trample through this snow he couldn't help but feel bad for Eira as she walked besides him, even though she said she couldn't feel the cold, the Dreamer shapeshifter unbuckled the small Cape sash on his jacket and move to put it on Eira as then walk, Catch held back a grimface as he had to make the small Cape go around Eira corrupted shoulder // it gotten a lot worse....I just hope it doesn't spread anymore // he thought as he finished, " I know it's not much but at least it's dry" he said with a grin

(Good, Colors is back from the dead XP )

Eira blinked down at the cape in surprise as Catch placed it on her. She smiled gratefully up at him. "Thank you." She took his hand and held it as they walked together.

Mina continued to trudge through the frozen landscape, following the sound of birdsong only she could hear. Suddenly, she stumbled and fell onto the snowy ground. She played there for only a second before weakly standing up. Walking through the snow was tiring, the Venatavis’ trembling legs were not made for winter environments like the one they were in. Her legs were skinny, made for running quickly through grassy areas. Yet she ignored the searing pain from frostbite and continued to trudge through the snow.

Finally, after what seemed like hours of walking, bright lights shone in the distance. The song and voices that Mina was following were now audiable to the others.

"Wanderers, desperate, chilled to the bone,
Hopeless, forsaken, abandoned by all,
None of those shall you be here
In Vahlemas, City of Snow"

The Venatavis collapsed once more, shaking and panting from the exhaustion and frigid temperatures.

Boo hear Eaters warning to Hiiro and started to quiver with fear "not him again" she Whispering with a frightened and tone.

At this point Malice didn't care about being hug he was more concerned about starting alive, the little light Eater big ears stood up swiveling listen to anything he could make out, Malice then close his eyes first paralyzed and stretched his senses to see the aura of the others though his second pair of eyes

(Well, with the way I was imagining the city, there wouldn't be any lights to see, more like a giant, towering wall of ice and snow... but then, I didn't tell you what the city was like 'XP I really like the post though, the way you described everything ^-^ )

(Or the bright lights are from the sunlight reflecting off the ice. ;)

"That's... a good question..." Eater replies, his eyes following Malice's aura--and Alexandria. "That Phoenix is hiding something..." Not currently caring about where the group is going, he growls and follows Alex with a brisk pace. "Where is he, Alexandria!?"

Alexandrea flinches when Eater calls to her, "Where's who? What are you talking about?" she keeps moving forward, but looks back at the Nightmare following her.

Hiiro looks down at Boo, "I think the cold got to Eater's head, he thinks Malice is Alexandrea" he says to the dragonette, continuing after Mina to the city. "I mean, they both have black hair, but one is a woman and the other a man" he frowns now.

"Even if there's an armory, I dunno if I'll be able to find any armor suited for an Air Elemental--I made mine myself." Fiona briefly explained, "I betcha I could at least find something warmer than what I'm wearing, though..." She paused, realizing what that meant, "...That means I have to go clothes shopping, doesn't it."

The Elemental suddenly stopped, hearing a faint song through the frigid winds. "...What--" She started to ask about it, but suddenly stopped when she saw Mina collapse up ahead, "Mina...!" She said under her breath as she bolted ahead to go help her friend.

"your welcome" Catch smile at Eira and continued to followed the others, unknown amount of hours of walking through the Frozen Wasteland something came into View, he tilted his head with the sound coming from it " that must be what Mina could hear? " He notice Venatavis shapeshifter collapse "Mina!" He called out then quickly looked to his wife with a look saying we have to help before rushing over to Mina

"What a beautiful sound," Eira whispered. When Mina fell, she exchanged glances with Catch before running after him. "Mina!"

Crystal glanced up beside her at Crimson as he spoke, "Yeah, it's cool. Lots of snow. Very cold. Much more so than I was expecting." She looked forward again, a random thought popping up in her head. "This is sort of a silly question, but have you been here before now?" After she talked, Crystal realized there was voices that weren't those of the group and wondered where they were coming from, but decided not to say anything about it, mostly waiting for other reactions. She saw Mina fall up ahead and a look of worry arose to her face as she continued forward a bit, wanting to see if she was okay.

Malice flinched when he heard the other Nightmare accused of Phoenix shapeshifter, the light Eater pressed himself against Alex his ears pin back as he curled his lip showing his tiny rows of teeth, he did not growl or hiss yet his cover wasn't blown completely and he I prefer to keep it that way.

Boo frowned thing about that " maybe Eater seen a Mirage? Does that snow do that or was that hot place?"

(COFFEE!!)

The white Dreamer's eyes widen when first she hears a faint, comforting song, then sees the giant wall of ice and snow ahead. "Mina, look! It's the city!" she exclaims, not actually looking at the Venatavis beside her yet, "You... you did it! You found the--Mina!?" Purity lets out a gasp and quickly crouches down beside her as Catch, Eira, and Fiona rush over. "Just hang on, we're right outside the city!"

(Oh dear)

(Brb dinner)

"Yes, it does. What's wrong with clothes shopping, though?" Terra asks, althought he floats along quietly when everything suddenly seems to happen all at once.

" I been in the snow before, I'm not sure if I have been in this exact spot but I have travel though Crimson walked along though the snow Shiverglow when I had eyes to see with, but it was mostly just snow, there was a few small settlements but nothing that stood out as Secret kings hiding places" he paused " but if it stuck out, it wouldn't have been very hiding I guess" he replied. After following the unusual sound came to the dragon ears and he tilting his head " I never heard that before" he stated then pick up on the commotion the others where making "something happened to Mina? " He asked in a tone so only Crystal could hear

[Song I'm listening to describe how Malice must be feeling: "Rising Beat," Monster Hunter Tri]

"Malice, that's who!" Dreameater growls as he catches up to Alex, he lets his darkness show and uses one of the chains that bursts from his back to latch on to the Phoenix's arm, the shackle clasping on tightly. "Where and how and WHY are you hiding him!?"

Mina was conscious, but her body was shaking. She needed warmth, it was clear that she was becoming hypothermic. “We... we made it...” She mumbled through a chattering beak. The Venatavis couldn’t stand up, she was too weak and cold to.

Alexandrea's eyes widen as chains burst from Eater and latch onto her arm. She pulls against his chain and screams, "Eater's attacking me!" for some reason she felt an intense desire to protect Malice, and she couldn't explain it.

Hiiro was going to help Mina, but everyone else was already hoarding around her, so his attention turned to Alex's scream and he stormed over, "I knew you'd attack one of us!" he roars.

(Well, the order we went in earlier was Turtlee, Me, Shadow, Fade, Lilly. So I could go next or we could re-arrange it.)

Malice would have normally kept his composure in his frame but a since of panic filled the light Eater as the young Nightmare attached Alexandrea, he opened his mouth with silent hissing

Boo eyes widened when Eater suddenly attacked the Phoenix shapeshifter "Eater stop! Alex not Malice! " She had no idea what the Phoenix shapeshifter was really hiding

Crystal turned her head and sort of whispered to Crimson, replying to his question. "She's just collapsed all of a sudden.." Her voice held concern when she spoke. As they got a little closer she saw Mina lying on the snow covered ground and noticed she was shivering. She wanted to do something to help, but wasn't sure what that something could be.

Acting quickly, Purity runs to the wall, looking for a way inside. "Ahh, where is... Th-there's no entrance?!" she despairingly cries... only to be startled by a hole that suddenly forms in the wall.

A blood-red eye peers through the hole at the Dreamer. "Who are you, and what on Shiverglow is all that noise out there!?" the creature growls.

"Uh--Please, we need to get in! Our friend is freezing--hypothermia!" Purity explains, not giving herself the time to think much.

The eye disappears from the hole for a moment as two voices discuss something, but then part of the wall crumbles away in the perfect shape of a gate. "Bring them in!"

Smiling faintly, Purity then looks back to her friends, "Guys!! Over here!!"

Eira anxiously watched the interaction between Purity and the guards, then crouched beside Mina. "Mina, can you shift? We'll try to carry you in."

When Fiona reached Mina and saw the state she was in, she threw Eira's shawl over the Venatavis to help keep her warm. Then the Elemental noticed how close they were to the city... Not only that, but the fact that Purity had found them an entrance, too. "We've gotta get her in there ASAP!"

(Bleh, I was way too slow with that. Sorry. xP)

(Oh yeah Fluffy too! X'D)

Eater's eyes widen as Alexandria accuses him of attacking her and Hiiro roars at him, and turns around to face the approaching dragon shapeshifter while moving to be in front of Alex. "I'm NOT attacking her! I was never PLANNING on attacking her, but she's hiding Malice!! I can sense him, HE'S RIGHT HERE!" the young Nightmare explains hysterically, and unintentionally pokes Malice in the eye twice through the jacket.

Crimson listen to the human girl explain the situation // maybe their some way I can help? She was one of the people who saved me // he was about to say something when he heard strange voices and then the rambling of a gate and he Frozen in spot // something's happened? Are we at a town is that why there that strange song? // He could hear the commotion of the others and decided to stay next to Crystal "what happen?" He whispered to her

Alexandrea holds Malice to her chest with one hand, and tries to free herself from Eater, "Leave me alone you crazy Nightmare! How could Malice be here? Do you expect I tucked him in my jacket? He'd be kinda hard to hide, no?" she snaps.

Hiiro looks between the two, "How can Malice be right here? The guy is like an inch shorter than me and about half a foot taller than Alex, she'd have to be a magician to hide him" he curls his lip at the Nightmare, "Let her go from your chains or I'll become the Eater, of you"

(And I'm fine with the order too! I'll describe the layout of the city and its denizens in my next post.)

Catch kneel beside Mina he glanced over at Eira then to Fiona "Mina if you shift to your human form I can carry you but i can't in this form even if I shift to my Dreamer one"

Mina raised a shivering claw up to her neck and slipped her necklace on, shifting to her smaller human form. She let out a small gasp at the sudden change in the temperature. She didn’t have thick feathers to shield her from the cold, all she had was a very thin long-sleeved shirt.

Malice flinched being poked in the eye, out of reflexes he snapped and hiss but quickly realized his error, and pin his ears back squinting his one eye closed that got poked Malice stay quiet pressed up against Alex hoping no one noticed...

Seeing that the others are taking care of Mina, Purity decides to head into the city first... and gazes at the interesting layout of the city.

The walls about the city form somewhat of a dome at the top, the ice up there being clearer up there, allowing sunlight to seep through. The single street has a gentle downward slope to it, gradually leading underground, and several structures line the sides of the street. They do not appear to be houses, but seem to be grand entries to tunnels of some sort. The city itself and the structures within it are all decorated with grand designs, like someone spent an absurdly long time carving the ice. But while the beautiful, sparkling city is welcoming, its citizens are much less friendly, their blood-red eyes watching with suspicion and distrust...

One of them quickly stops Purity, glaring at her and ruffling his crest of snow-white feathers. "You /will/ wait right here, and go no further," the Albino Venatavis commands.

(Was going to do Purity's reaction, but Colors said I was taking too long XP )

( so then it's Eira, Fiona, shadow then Mina )

Dreameater reluctantly complies and releases his chain's grip on Alex's arm, but he hears Malice's hiss too late, getting a bunch of tiny teeth chomped down on his finger. "YOWCH!" He yelps, quickly stepping away from the Phoenix shapeshifter, then glares at Hiiro, "... If I'm so crazy, then what just hissed and bit me!? She's hiding something!!"

"I'm not hiding anything!" Alexandrea screams, running through the snow towards everyone else, "Leave me alone you crazy Nightmare!" she stops a few feet away from everyone, glaring back at Eater and then turning her back to him. "Malice, you can't bite people! You'll give us away!" she whispers in a hiss to him.

Hiiro watched her run off and ignored Eater as he walked after the group, "Hey Boo, are you hungry? I'm hungry" he says to the dragonette in his jacket

Gingerly, Eira took Mina's arm and tried her best to help the Venatavis to her feet. "Let's get you on Catch's back," she murmured. She looked to the Dreamer to see whether he had shifted yet.

"what would you do if someone poked you in the eye" Malice replying back in a quiet hiss, he rubbed his eye with one of his paw then followed them and turned his head away with a scowl " it was unwise, I know my error if I had my frame we wouldn't be in this situation " he grumbled

Boo blinked at the scene unfold still having to clue how Alex could be hiding a tall man or Nightmare in his true form, but she was quickly distracted by Hiiro question "Yes! I'm hungry! " She smiled then thought "what do we eat out here?... oh! Can we have snow cones! There lost of snow so that must mean snow cones come from snow!'

Fiona took Mina's other arm and assisted in helping her to her feet. "...Hang in there, Mina..." The Elemental muttered worriedly.

She glanced at the open gate to the city. Squinting, she spotted Purity taking a few steps inside, and then what looked like a white Venatavis speaking to her.
"...Terra, don't I remember you saying that Venatavis had colored feathers? Are some of them white...?"

(I get the feeling we're going to have to rewrite Waker's call, Shadow :p )

Catch took off his jacket and put it around Mina " here this will help some" he said gently, he didn't need it in his true form and Mina needed it more them he did anyway.

Catch shifted to his true form, he shattered his colorful Flink with the cold " that's brisk" he then got down so they could help Mina on, he he waited ears turned to purity "something up? Are they not going to let us in now?" He thinks out loud

Frustrated beyond belief as Hiiro doesn't question anything, Dreameater covers his face with his hands and moans loudly as he slowly follows along behind Hiiro. //YOU STUPID DRAGON!! SHE'S HIDING MALICE, YOU FOOOOOLLLL!!!//

"I'm sorry" Alexandrea looks down at Malice in her jacket, "I wish there was more I could do to help you Mal" she sighs, "If there's something I can do, let me know"

"I was thinking something more meaty and warm, I've had enough snow for one day, haven't you?" Hiiro stops, looking at Purity and the white bird blocking her, he curls his lip up in a nasty grin, "We could always eat that if it doesn't get out of our way" he licks his lips

(Well, the only thing stopping it from happening right now is the fact that I wrote in lines mentioning Eater watching Boo play in the snow, I hadn't anticipated Hiiro snatching her away when I wrote it :p

Mina smiled at Catch as he placed his jacket around her. “T-thank you so much C..Catch.” She said through her chattering teeth. The jacket brought warmth, and Mina could feel her strength coming back to her. She wrapped an arm around Catch’s neck to steady herself on his back.

Boo found her face " no we can't eat that! It be like eating Mina only a White red eye Mina" the little Dragonette said firmly

Alexandrea frowned as she looked around the snowy landscape, //Judas, where did you put his frame? How long will I be stuck with a grouchy, cute, little Nightmare?// she nearly squealed when she thought it, //Not that I mind// she looks down at Malice, "I don't know why I am...I shouldn't want to help you, you're supposed to be our enemy" she feels a tightness in her chest, "I should leave you in the snow, but I can't"

Terra had spent just a little time admiring the city, but his attention quickly turned to the Venatavis. "These are Albinoes..." he nervously whispers, "The deadliest and most dangerous kind of Venatavis... I... I don't understand, though, they're known for fiercely protecting their territory, killing anyone or anything that they see by nature, how could they form a city like this, without killing each other...?"

Then, both Dreamers whip around suddenly, "NO HIIRO, YOU CAN'T EAT THEM!!"

" I /am/ your enemy, and if you were wise you would have left me..." Malice grumbled as he rested his head on his paws, even though he said it something still bother him about it, and Alex exclamation, he thought about the time he stab her and should have left the Phoenix shapeshifter for dead // is it the same? But why would one do that for an enemy? Why did I need to save her knowing I should kill her?// Malice was quiet as he pondered

The Albino Venatavis looks over the group as they all assemble, and gives Hiiro an equally nasty glare. "Hunters of the Keys or not, you will abide by our laws during your time in Vahlemas. Stealing from any of us will result in the loss of one finger, vandalizing or destroying our homes will result in losing a hand, disrespect will be disciplined with a burn, and eating any of our little family... is a death sentence," he declares, aiming the last one at a certtain someone. After a pause, he adds, "... Where is the one with hypothermia?"

"And you would have left me" Alexandrea says, "When you ran your blade through my chest, you should have left me to die if we were truly enemies. I should be dead right now" she looks down at the little Light Eater in her arms. "But something is different. I can't bring myself to leave you and you couldn't leave me"

(Eater: *gags* Malice, stop being so freaky)

Hiiro flinched when both Dreamers shouted at him, "Alright, I won't eat the /stupid/ bird" he sneers at the Venatavis. //All his rules sound like a challenge to me, I'd like to see you stop me you scrawny little bird// he peers down at Boo. "Fine, we'll see if these birds have any real food, if it's all snow cones, then someone's gonna pay"

Glancing at everything going on, Crystal leaned over slightly and then quietly explained to Crimson everything that was happening around them the best she could. She left out a few things and focused mostly on the new place they had arrived at. "...and, that's about it.." she finished, stuttering a little. Now that she wasn't moving, she only felt colder. She stared over at the entrance, feeling a little anxious after the Albino creature listed his rules, she knew this group was notorious for doing almost all of those. Some more than others and some by mistake, but nonetheless, it's happened before and she had a feeling it will be very stressful while staying here.

Malice look up at Alex and met her eyes for a brief moment before looking away "... I do not understand it.... There thing I..." He wasn't sure how to explain it, he didn't understand his new emotions and what it was he felt " there something different... it not what a Nightmare is supposed to be, it conflicts against my instincts and I do not understand it " he busted a paw against his chest

" Maybe it's all bird food? But Mina eat like we do" Boo said looking up at Hiiro " but Mina the only Venatavis I know "

Fiona gave Terra a worried look after he described what Albino Venatavis are like, "...We should be extra careful around here, then..."

After listening to the Albino Venatavis as he listed off the rules, she thought, //Well, I'm probably gonna lose a lot of hands... Better not get too attached to them.//

The Elemental positioned herself beside Catch and Mina, wishing there was more she could do for the blue Venatavis.

Crimson listen quietly as Crystal explained the situation, he followed along and listen to what the Albino said then folded his arms "well I give it 30 minutes before someone loses a finger, 20 for someone to lose an arm, 15 for a burn and probably a half a day before someone is killed" he thinks out loud but only loud enough for Crystal and maybe the really close to hear

Alexandrea went quiet as she thought about it, "Malice, describe a Nightmare to me, like their personalities and things they normally or instinctively do"

The Venatavis gives a faint nod of respect to Catch, and starts walking down the street, saying, "Come with me, we'll take her to the Nanny, where she'll be well taken care of. Afterwards, I'll show you where you'll be staying, and where you'll find food."

Malice think about Alex question and what it was to be a Nightmare and how he remembered it " when I was born before I had my frame I only knew one thing and that was to satisfying my hunger for light...one I feed on on his heart I began to learn things and feel different emotions, hate, bitterness, anger, jealousy, power, fear, but some things had no purpose " his little wings fluttered as he moved to get more comfortable " a Nightmare instincts is first self-preservation then power we gain this though feeding on the negative emotions of others but we can only do this in a Dreamer body" he shakes his head " I can't not since what it is you feel right now non can I anyone else until I get my frame back" he said then continues on " a Nightmare hates all that was attached to there frame life, we instinctively kills the one they former self we're close to..." Malice pause at this the thought now trembled him when it should have not " a Nightmare does not form bonds with others they are but tools to be used for a great purpose in power " he folded his ears back " this is why I do not understand ...why"

At Crimsons remark about how long it would take for certain things to happen, Crystal had to bite her lip to keep from laughing, but small giggle-like noises still came up anyway and she looked down to hide her smile. "I have no doubt that at least some of those will get close to happening, so I guess we will have to wait and see. But maybe we'll get lucky and none of it will, I don't think we need anymore people hating us."

Fiona followed beside Dreamcatcher, scanning the city around them warily. "I've gotta admit, this place is pretty amazing..." The Elemental mumbled. She still felt rather exhausted, and honestly hoped that this could be a place where they could rest, but she couldn't help but stay on edge... //We still don't know what to expect here, though...//

Hiiro frowned at all the glares he was getting from his group and the white birds. "Hungry, so hungry" he complains, hanging his head as he walks, "Food, there must be food somewhere" he starts sniffing around.

Omen had been watching the group though a spotting scope at a great distance " uh~ so that we're they been hiding, clever boy Gorgeon " the outcast smirk and put away his spotting scope with one hand, he had Malice frame over one shoulder he wasn't going to leave it out in the Frozen Wilds to get frostbite or frozen burn he knew he never hear the end of it from Mal " well~ I think we could have a little bit of fun, I always have been curious about Gorgeons little super secret hideout and now I know" he glanced at the body he caring " I could probably hid this somewhere their to and now have to worry about it becoming a frozen popsicle... just maybe a certain Dragon snack" he Grimface that the last though

Malice paused to speak the truth would would expose his greatest weakness, but he wasn't sure if it truly was responsible for what was happening, after a while of debating to himself the light Eater finally spoke " before you accompany the candidates, back on a traveling Island Mina broke one of my heart's... she was able to do this with my sister" he paused "his sister dagger that was forged from master blacksmith Queen Emilia"he shakes his head still not sure why he was saying what he was " the black crystals are what anchors my curse...at first I only felt pain and the echoes of my former self much more than I ever had before... Then in Howaito I felt her break another one" he look at Alex " it was just after I awoke into my tormented form I was hibernating and Omen did something to me" he look down and place a paw on his chest " he put something inside me and know I don't understand this thing I feel..."

"One of your hearts?" Alexandrea frowns, following the others at a very snail like pace. "Omen put something inside you too, maybe it was one of these hearts? Maybe you're becoming more...humane now? Now that you have a heart or at least part of one?" she shrugs, guessing at this point

Crimson chuckle at Crystal's reply " I'm sure this place will be up in flames by tomorrow and it's citizens will be coming out as with pitchforks " he teased, nodding his head with a smirk " well you up to looking around or at least find some place warm to get out of the cold

Boo stomach started to grumble as Hiiro complained " your making my tummy complain to" she whined

Terradream glances around, admiring the city, and happens to notice as the gate behind them suddenly reforms back into a wall. "Woah, did you see that? It's like magic...!" he mutters, admittedly getting a little excited... and thinking of theories galore.

At the end of the downward-sloping street are two grand, huge doors, something like the entrance to a temple, however the guard leads the Keyhunters to a tunnel on the left. The tunnel opens into a warmer room with another Venatavis sitting on what seems to be a giant nest of feathers and various tattered (and likely stolen) clothes. She raises her head as everyone enters the room, and several smaller heads poke out from under her wings. There seem to be a few more tunnels leading deeper in from here.

Malice look up at Alex and blinked " why would he do that?" He question with a distance thought then looked down at the paw on his chest " Nightmare do not have heart it is why we are Hollow chest because as a light Eater we devour them... however there is something there now that was not before " Malice growled and place his other paws on his hand " I need to find Omen and have him take it out of me "

(eat Blood! Don't be a me and go without food!....that reminds me I haven't eaten since lunch x'D)

"Yeah and your luck Omen would take you out of this frame if that were possible" Alexandrea smirks down at him. "I must look so silly, anyone who sees me, probably thinks I'm talking to my breasts" her face reddens as she realizes this.

The guard takes Mina from Catch and sets her on the feathery nest, and after the other Venatavis drapes one wing over her, he turns back to the Keyhunters. "You will sleep here, in a pile, unless you'd rather be cold... you can find a few more private rooms down the first hall. Food is down the second, but don't expect us to give you much--" he snarls, then yelps and whips around, like he sat on a tack.

The Venatavis behind him spits out a mouthful of feathers and glares in the guard's direction with foggy eyes, her voice sounding more scratchy and rough than his, "RAGNAR! Don't you dare treat our guests so unkindly, or I will chew off even more of you! They will eat as much as they like."

Ragnar the guard growls as he begins storming back up the tunnel he came from, "FINE, go help yourselves..."

( on Mal and Alex? Fade? Hehe I be ok with that )

Hiiro snickers down at Boo, "Sorry" he watches as Ragnar gets bitten and his grin widens, "I found food Boo" he starts down the second hall to the food.

Omen took to the sky as he got closer to the city he grumbled to himself " ugh,Albino Venatavis are such a pain...if only I had the white Reaper I could slip in with out a problem, but this will make things more interesting especially with Blue boy here" a mischievous grin was on the outcast face as he started his stealth mission, the Mission Impossible and James Bond theme song playing in his head and how he knows them...the world may never know...

(So unlike most of the OCs in this RP, I've actually got the perfect voice picked out for the Nanny here)

While Alexandrea was still talking to Malice, Eira made her way over to her side. "Alex? Are you talking to yourself?" Her gaze flickered to the Phoenix's chest confusedly.

Pretty much, you take one of your OCs and have them interact with other people's OCs, like a video game almost, only you write out your character's actions instead of using a controller.)

Alexandrea's face reddens further, "Maybe" she squeaks, zipping up her jacket with her free hand. "So how are you Eira?" she quickly tries to change the topic

Catch nodded his head respectfully to the Venatavis " thank you, for looking after our friend" he then turned his attention to the other ones I passed them and was a bit caught off guard when they started shouting at each other, he stood there quietly then replied " thank you for your hospitality " he said with a polite smile

Fiona stopped glancing around at everything and looked behind them when Terra mentioned the magical reforming wall. "...Huh... I didn't know walls could regenerate, too! We've got a load of notes to take..."

She said as politely as possible, grinning slightly awkwardly after her comment about Ragnar.

The shiftless tilted her head. "So how about you, Alex? Has the adventures this group encounters got you overwhelmed yet?"

The blind "Nanny" narrows her foggy red eyes slightly, if she could grin with her beak, she would do so proudly. "It's my pleasure, Ragnar thinks he can order everyone around 'cause he's two years older than me. What he likes to forget is that I can whoop him anytime I like," she says. Listening to her voice for too long is... unsettling, to say the least.

"Oh, we've got so many notes to write down...!" Terra mutters, grinning for a moment, "But uh... first we should focus on getting your other arm to regenerate... That'll help with a lot of things."

Eira nodded as she listened. "I'm glad you're managing. We've been introduced to a lot of pain and betrayal since we started this journey. People like Malice and Omen, whom we first considered allies, then who turned against us and only harmed us. It's hard to trust anyone," she said with a sigh.

(I've been questioning whether I should just post the RPs on the Dark account and the paintings on mine, I don't enjoy seeing two of the same paintings in my gallery XP

"Yeah, that's a good idea. I miss having both of my arms..." Fiona nodded at Terra, "...The only problem is, I have a really hard time doing that." The Elemental glared at her missing arm. "...Doesn't help that I haven't really slept in a while, either...

Alexandrea looked almost nervous, "Oh that's not good, but I guess the good thing now, is they're not here" she forces a small smile. Walking down the hall Hiiro had gone, "I don't know about you, but I could use a bite to eat"

Eira smiled faintly, although she wasn't fully comforted by Alex's comment. She watched as Alex walked toward the mess hall. "I'll catch up in a moment!"

Malice listen intensely to the conversation, though the mention of food got the light Eater mind on the approaching hunger he had, Malice sniffed one of Alex's poems and paw it instinctively looking for food he started to lick her hand taste the light that was left

Catch had been following along lost in thought at there new surroundings, he look to Eira when she came over and he shift to his human form " it's different" he muttered taking a quick look around then back to his wife and he smiled " what we're you and Alexandrea talking about?" He said out of curiosity

Alex waved her free hand to Eira and let out a breath of relief. She giggled when she felt Malice pawing her hand and licking her palm, "Just a second glutton, let's get to the kitchen first"

(I can't imagine Malice licking anything)

The Venatavis' mess hall has an interesting layout, there's several long tables in the main rectangle shaped room, but no seats, and several ancient-looking giant bowls are already laid out on said tables, their mystery contents hot and ready to be eaten.

In the back, there's a wide opening in the wall, likely leading to a kitchen. Two Albinoes can be heard bickering inside, and a third scolding them.

"But I want to skin the mammoth!!

"No, it's my turn! I get to skin the mammoth!!"

"DON'T MAKE MEH COME OVER THERE AND SMACK BOTH OF YAS, GIT BACK TAH WORK!"

( well if he can't get what he looking for he bites....the hungrier he gets the more he runs on a light Eater instincts )

"Yeah..." Eira smiled and wrapped her arm around his torso. "The things we've experienced since this journey began. Nothing too deep - she seemed a little distracted." The shiftress shrugged it off. "Where do you think we'll find this next Key?... Gorgeon, was it?"

Hiiro noticed the bowls filled with food, "Ah yes! This is what I'm talking about!" he sets Boo down on the table and immediately he starts to eat, pigging out.

Malice stop himself realizing what he was doing, he wip his mouth with a paw and pin his ears back and scowled " I do not know how long I can hold back the hunger, the more it on me, is the more my desire to satisfy it becomes...." He pause staring at the Phoenix shapeshifter hand " I have eaten though a Dreamer chest to satisfy it..." He said restraining himself the best he could, he turned his head away and try to think of something else " where are we at?"

"Yeah, we're definitely going to either get thrown out or have to run for our lives at some point." Crystal said. As she was about to respond again, she looked back up and noticed everyone walking into the town, "Well, it looks like we're being lead to some place..But if it's not warm, we'll find a place that is." She had begun following the others, rather late and at the very back, but had followed. When they arrived at the building and inside to the room, Crystal was very happy to feel that it was in fact warm. After having had been there for a little, the feeling in her hands returned and her shivering calmed down.

"Please don't eat through my chest Malice" Alexandrea frowns as she enters the kitchen, noticing Hiiro pigging out, she sighs. "Kitchen, we're here" she says, moving to get something before the dragon shapeshifter at it all. She stretched out her palm for Malice, forming a ball of light.

Purity, meanwhile, had been keeping an eye on the Nightmare practically stewing in the corner of the room, but she overhears Catch and Eira's conversation. "Hey, sorry for breaking things up," she first apologizes, walking up to them and gesturing toward the mess hall's tunnel, "But Hiiro just went for the food, and you guys know he won't be leaving anything left for us if we don't get going. Maaayybe we could talk about the Keys while we eat?"

Eira nodded in agreement, then laughed lightly at his embarrassment. "You'll probably do a lot worse in the future," she teased, although she partially believed it herself. "--Unless we discover something to permanently stop it." //Like a cute to darkness... Not a temporary seal.//
Trying to forget he thought, Eira swept her bangs from her face and smiled up at the Dreamer. "Shall we eat?"

A slight blue glow started to appear at her missing arm... And soon became brighter... Then the glow took the shape of her arm, and--!

Then it sparked, flickered, and disappeared, causing Fiona to start gasping for breath like she'd just run a marathon. "Ugh! That always happens!" She growled. "...But... I think that's the closest I've gotten on my own... Well, it's probably thanks to you, though." She smiled at Terra.

He smiled

Hiiro tuned out everything and everyone, focused on filling his own greedy gut. He quickly polished off one bowl and moved to the next.

Omen had successfully infiltrated the albino Venatavis stronghold, he used his training from his old assassin days to go unseen, as he look for a good place to hid Mal frame... Finding a secluded spot that look like a building that wasn't being used for anything other than taking up space the outcast gently sat the body down "ok! You shouldn't get frostbite in here " he then rubbed his hands together with a mischievous grin " now to add a new player to the game~"

I mean, I know we got here a tad late compared to the others, and Hiiro is Hiiro.." she trailed off as they entered the room, the noises had only gotten louder and Crystal wasn't too sure how to feel about it. She looked around for a moment and lead them over to two empty chairs.

Malice keep gorging himself on light as long as Alex keep feeding him, eating was the only thing on the light Eater mind at the moment

Alexandrea kept eating, pausing to peek down at Malice, "How much can you eat? Being so tiny" she asks quietly, taking another bite of food and forming smaller, bite sized balls of light for him

Terradream watches hopefully at first, but almost abandons all hope when the regeneration fails. He does smile a little when Fiona does, though... "Welll... maybe after you rest a bit, you'll have enough energy to regenerate your arm. ... I--I'm glad I can help you..."

"Sorry I couldn't get my arm back for ya... When I do, I'll make sure to write SO many notes that my arm'll probably fall off again." Fiona laughed. "...I really feel like I could just pass out right here... Should we go find a room before I do that...? Or should I just sleep on the floor here...? It wouldn't be dangerous, nobody would trip, so long as they used their eyes..." She mumbled tiredly. The glow of her eyes was even dimmer than before.

Dreameater lingers behind, he doesn't feel like eating whatever mess the poultry has made. However, as he leans against the wall, he realizes something, and glances over at the Nanny... //I can't eat anything here... I'd have all the demon chickens in a fuss trying to kill me, and the KeyHunters would get involved... If we don't stay here too long, maybe I could tough it out...//

Glancing over to the other tunnel, Eater decides to see what the "private" rooms are like, since the idea of "sleeping in a pile," or even being near so many idiots in a pile, doesn't appeal much to him.

Malice continue to eat he pause for moments to reply " unfortunately this body has little mean to store energy" he ate some more " it was meant to be inside a Dreamer body and change to accommodate that frames source of energy... taking in emotions of others " he feed on more " what I am now, is constantly burning energy just for simple functions that a person would not take notice, even speaking take energy...it likely I will feed until I physically can not take in any more, but I have never had a way to know for certain" he ate more " I have ether found my frame or I reached the point where my body will start to consume itself and pass out " he explained the best he could well eating

"I see" Alexandrea murmurs, moving out of the kitchen now. "Malice, see if you can find somewhere for us to rest, I'm starting to sweat wearing all my winter gear indoors, I need to take my jacket off" she moves down the hall, looking for a vacant room.
