I'll also be switching between browser and DS comments a lot tonight. Hopefully it won't get confusing.

Shall I go ahead and start? I was going to just write something for Ana returning to Sargon's place, but if anyone was waiting on me for responses, let me know.

After her encounter with Pythia, Anastasia went on her way back to her master's tower, feeling very pleased with herself for succeeding in her latest mission. But now, she knew, Sargon wanted her to come back as quickly as possible. He'd said he had a new task for her, an even more important one.

Grinning with delight, she landed in front of the tower and shifted into her human form. Carelessly pushing past the door guards, she went inside and started to climb the stairs up to Sargon's private room on the top floor.

{Jerry grins once he sees the gates.}"We're almost there, Ivy!"

(Aggron)

Ivy said nothing but kept running. Then, just as they were about to pass through the open gates, a snarl rose up behind them, deep and menacing. She gasped and spun around, dagger at the ready.

The werewolf that had escaped from Armin was now bearing down on the two humans, running four-legged for extra speed. His fur was bloodstained and his teeth were bared in fury. 'No further, little humans!' he roared. 'This ends here!'

{Jerry stops with Ivy and stands behind her. He speaks to her in a low tone, to prevent their pursuer from hearing.}"Listen carefully, here's a little Hunter 101. See how he's barreling down on us with everything he's got? You're going to use his momentum to drive the knife through him. When he jumps, put your left arm up to cushion the force, and stab him with everything you have with your right."

(Aggron)

Ivy nodded uncertainly. //Surely he's not going to run straight onto my knife. He can't be THAT stupid.// Despite this, she took Jerry's advice and braced herself as the werewolf charged down the road towards them.

When he was about six feet away, he suddenly crouched and sprang towards Ivy, seeing her as less of a threat than the investigator. She gritted her teeth, then threw up her left arm just as the werewolf lunged for her throat. At the same time, she jerked her knife forwards, stabbing the length of metal between the creature's ribs.

He made a choking noise, then collapsed, blood making a small pool beneath him. Ivy gazed down at the dying creature in shock. 'It... worked!'

{Jerry smiles proudly.}"And they think humans are helpless creatures. He might not be completely dead yet, so let's split while we can." {Jerry grabs a hold of Ivy and nudges her away from the dead werewolf.}

(Hi @Draco! @King when you're ready, the Illusionist needs a reply from Mr. Evil Kitty. I'd very much like to be able to use him today.)

Ivy threw one last look at the werewolf before starting to follow Jerry. 'What about the vampire guy?' she said, obviously reluctant to mention him. 'He could be dead for all we know.'

{Jerry stops and facepalms.}"Right. Gotta make sure he's not dead. Thanks, Ivy, c'mon." {Jerry turns around and heads in Armin's direction.}

(I didn't die what're you talking about)

//Hm...Well, usually I would send you to kill the undesireables, but there are two already taking care of that. Killing my right hand Mortikai would do too...but he's far too useful at the moment for him to die again.//
It swims in the air aimlessly, pondering for a moment.

Upon reaching Sargon's room, Ana was mildly surprised to find the door wide open and unguarded. She slipped inside and looked around, spotting the Count sitting at his old desk beneath the eastern window, poring over a sheaf of papers. She approached him.

'My lord,' she murmured, sinking to one knee.

He took a moment to finish what he was reading and turn to face her. 'Anastasia. Thank you for returning so promptly. Let me explain the next step of our plans...'

Ivy hurried along at the investigator's side. 'I mean, I wouldn't CARE or anything if he was dead,' she added quickly. 'But we might need him someday.'

In the street where they'd first encountered the werewolf, Armin tilted his head to listen for the distant screams of his allies. But none came. //Maybe they managed to kill it somehow,// he mused. //That's quite impressive.//

Using his sword as a crutch, he limped over to a nearby wall and leaned against it, resigned to wait for them to return.

(Sorry if my comments get too long, being on the computer means I can type more. XD)

{The man's blank expression doesn't change.}"Well, I must say, I am quite disappointed that you have nothing for me to do to pay the high price of The End. I've already told you I am willing to do anything. Murder, theft, espionage. Although, I'm willing to bet I could rid you of those undesirables more quickly than the others you gave that job. If you truly have nothing for me at the moment, I will simply enact my revenge upon as many of Sargon's men as physically possible tonight."

Jed stepped backwards out of Thorn's way as she walked over to the cupboard closet thing and took the fish. "There y'go," she said, and she threw it in Toby's general direction.

( @Radiant It's fine.) {Hurrying along, Jery round the corner and spots Armin.}"Hey, you ok? Mmmm, that's not looking so good. That'll heal up, right?"

(Aggron)

Armin eyed the two of them as they approached. 'Oh, so you're not running off and leaving me here to die,' he said mildly. 'That's nice of you, I guess.'

'There's still plenty of time for us to do that,' growled Ivy.

'No thanks.' Armin then addressed Jerry directly. 'Yeah. It should heal in a day or so.'

{Jerry chuckles a bit.}"So, can you walk, or do you need me to carry you all the way back home?"

It's face hardens slightly, a very faint echo in it's voice as it speaks.
//If you are quite disappointed, then I imagine that I am even more so for the attitude you talk to a being that could annihilate you off of the face of this planet if it so wished with. Though I will give you a pass...this time. Clearly you think that you are capable enough. Then so be it. Go, steal the lives of as many of Sargon's forces as possible this night, and this night only. If you find my mark on any of them, kill them instantly, especially if it is marked with the colour of their traitorous blood. If I think you have killed enough, you may summon the End for whatever purpose. If I think you have not, however, you can recieve a power of a different kind, if you so wish.//

Toby manages a quick yap before the fish lands in his jaws, tail wagging madly in thanks.

'That's something I'd pay to see,' Ivy muttered just loud enough to be heard.

Armin shook his head slightly and tested his weight on his injured leg, wincing in pain. 'I'm good,' he lied. Just as he spoke, a werewolf's howl echoed shrilly from far away. 'And I don't want to scare anyone, but we should probably get the hell out of here.'

Ivy glanced around anxiously as Armin hobbled over to Jeremiah's side.

{The man doesn't even look at Brink.}"Thank you for this opportunity. I shan't disappoint you.}"With that, he gets up, puts on a dark cloak, dons his gas mask and rebreather unit, and heads into the night, saying one last thing to Dark Brink.}"If a more worthy task comes up, do not hesitate to find me. I am at your service."

{Jerry looked about at hearing the howl.}"Yeah, you're not going to be fast enough."{Jerry then grabs Armin and picks him up, against his will, in a fireman's carry and starts walking.}"Ivy, let's go. You're on dog repellent duty."

(Aggron)

'Hey, wait a min--' Armin started to say, before he was cut off by Jerry picking him up. '...I could have walked,' he protested unconvincingly.

Ivy grinned evilly as she skipped along behind them. 'Sure thing, boss!' she replied, waving her knife for emphasis. 'If those horrible thing come anywhere near us, I'll slit their throats!'

//Do not worry. I shall.//
It's grin curls tighter as it watches him walk into the night. With a hushed noise that sounds like a sigh of the abyss itself, it disappears, leaving the Illusionist alone.

Thorn reached down and patted Toby's head, then went back to the Keenan. She shifted into cat form and curled up on the chair.

{Jerry hurries along, not wanting to wait for the werewolves to arrive.}"Yeah, you can walk, but not fast enough, Armin, that's my point."

'What must I do, my lord?' Ana asked, gazing up at the Count with devoted eyes. 'I will do any task you wish of me!'

Sargon stood up from his desk. As quickly and simply as possible, he told her everything Dark Brink had told him, including their agreement which involved him capturing people from his army who bore Brink's symbol.

'So we must hunt these people down, my lord?' said Ana.

'Yes,' he replied. 'I have other things to attend to, so I would like you to search our ranks yourself for now. If you find anyone with this spirit's mark, bring them to our most secure cell. And be careful; they mat be dangerous.'

'Well, I guess I won't argue with that,' Armin muttered under his breath.

Ivy kept behind them, glancing over her shoulder every few seconds in case another enemy tried to ambush them. But she saw nothing, and by the time they reached the city gates, she shouted, 'All clear! Looks like the disgusting monsters are too scared to come near us.' She brandished her knife smugly.

(Aggron - Kill everyoooooone--
Well, not literally everyone, but you know. XD)

(I think Crowley is still passed out in the bar. Maybe I should wake him up soon. Hmm....)

"Don't let your guard down." {Jerry scolds.} "We're not clear until we get back to the fortress."

( @Radiant Yeah, let him meet someone who's just as murdery. XD )

(Aggron - Oh geez, Crowley VS The Illusionist? I don't think that'll end well. XD)

(Aggron)

'Yeah, yeah,' said Ivy carelessly, but she did act more cautious after that. The three of them had left the city and were headed into the woods where their hideout stood. 'I don't think they'll be any monsters past this point, though.'

( @Radiant If you want to do it, just let me know. If not, Oliver's just going to head over to Atlas Tower to kill some peeps and give Sargon a message. No super boss fight, just a message.)

(Aggron - Let's have him meet Crowley and Vitis first. Then he can go to see Sargon afterwards if you want.)

(I gotta get on my DS for a while, so I'll be slower!)

( @Radiant Ok, wake up Crowley when ready.)
{Coming closer to their hideout, Jerry speaks.}"Probably not, Ivy, but still keep an eye out."

(Aggron - Will do, just give me a moment.)

Ivy nodded and subsided into watchful silence.

After a few minutes of walking, in which no creatures leapt out of the trees to attack them, the shape of the hideout came into view just ahead.

'Oh, thank you,' Ivy muttered to herself in a relieved tone. 'I thought we'd never see this ugly old house again.'

(Aggron)

In the half-ruined bar, Crowley finally began to stir into consciousness as the effects of the alcohol wore off. He sat up and looked around the room in confusion, then groaned painfully and put a hand up to his head. 'Oh god, what the heII was I drinking?' he mumbled.

{Jerry smiles as he heads inside and deposits Armin on the nearest couch.}"Brink? You here?"

{Vitis smiles as Crowley wakes up. }"So, you're awake. How do you feel?"

Armin leaned back on the couch and watched with interest as Jerry attempted to summon Brink. He didn't make any attempt to move, obviously still in too much pain to try.

Meanwhile, Ivy stepped inside and wiped the blade of her knife before setting it down on top of a cabinet. 'I actually managed to kill a monster!' she whispered, struck by wonder at her own accomplishment. Then, snapping back to reality, she hurried into the living-room where the others were and sat down on the couch beside Armin.

Toby nuzzles into her hand as she pets him, seeming to trust her. He then turns to Jed and throws the fish to him, careful to not do it so high.
Keenan looks at her curiously, then laughs lightly.
"What a right bunch we are. Two dogs, two cats, and two humans."

("then went back to the Keenan"

Crowley collapsed on the floor again, eyes closed. 'Like cra.p,' he said truthfully.

{Vitis was about to say something comforting, when the sounds of screams were heard nearby.}"Hey, hear that? Sounds like someone's getting done in."

(Aggron)

'I don't caaaare,' Crowley whined, but then he heard the screams himself and immediately sat up with an interested look on his face. 'Huh, maybe you're right. Do we help the person getting murdered, or help the person who's murdering them?' His tone of voice made it obvious which option he'd prefer.

{Vitis shrugs.}"whichever you prefer. Wanna go see?"

Jed caught the fish, and this time, instead of throwing it back, he rolled it across the ground like a ball.
"We're quite a peculiar lot," Thorn agreed, flicking her ear. "And in my opinion, that's a good thing."

(Aggron)

Crowley reached up, grabbed Vitis's shoulder and used it to haul himself to his feet with a grunt. 'Yeah, why not? Maybe we can get to kill some people.'

{Vitis smiled.}"Ok, let's go." {Vitis steps out of the bar, expecting Crowley to follow.}

(Aggron)

Crowley did follow, though weaving and staggering like a zombie. By the time he'd gotten outside, he looked marginally more alert, shaking his head and breathing in lungfuls of the crisp night air. Another scream rang out a few streets away, and he grinned and skipped to Vitis's side.

'Let's go and investigate,' he said.

{Jerry looks about for a few minutes before turning to everyone else.}"Man, what is taking that cat so long?"

(Aggron)

Armin shrugged slightly. 'He's probably in high demand.'

{Vitis heads towards the commotion. As they near an intersection, a headless body of one of Sargon's goons falls from around the corner. From there, the Illusionist steps into view under a street lamp holding the head of his victim. He turns and stares at Crowley and Vitis.}
Vitis:"Oi, he's creepy."

(Aggron)

Crowley peered at the Illusionist. 'Wow, he looks kinda screwed-up. Like, more screwed-up than us,' he commented lightly. 'I mean, I do kill people, but I don't generally throw their heads around the place afterwards.'

{The Illusionist drops the head and begins to approach the pair.}
Vitis:"Hey, that's close enough. I don't want to blood on my new shoes."

(Aggron)

Crowley tugged at Vitis's arm, pulling him back another step. 'Ooh, careful,' he said. 'I'm pretty sure this guy wants to murder you.' He shifted into his dragon form and grinned at the Illusionist, showing bIoody teeth. 'Wanna try it, big guy?'

{The Illusionist doesn't slow. In fact, he picks up speed and rushes Crowley, pulling out a machete as he closes in.}

(Aggron)

Crowley was quicker than the Illusionist, the latter being a human. He dodged the machete attack and darted around to the man's right side, before lunging upwards and aiming a claw slash towards his head.

(I think King might be dead. RIP.)

{The Illusionist seem in a position to lose quickly, but then something... seemingly unexplainable happens. The Illusionist turns to face Crowley and halts. As Crowley's swiping claws come down, they too stop, as the Illusionist put his machete through Crowley's hand, and the force was stopped by the handle hitting Crowley's palm. }
Vitis:"What the- That was too fast! He can't be human!"

(Aggron)

Crowley leapt backwards, in case any more attacks came his way. His claws skidded on the pavement when he landed, bringing him to an unsteady stop. 'He IS human!' he yelled, eyes narrowing. 'I can smell it on him. It must be some kind of trick.' He bared his teeth. 'Vitis, you try attacking him!'

{Uneasily, Vitis begins to throw knives at the masked man. As he did, the man gracefully dodged before jumping back into the shadows, disappearing completely from sight.}
Vitis:"Where'd he go?"

(Aggron)

Crowley swung his head from side to side, searching for any hint of the stranger. 'I can still smell him... I think,' he said uncertainly. 'But I can't see him. He's invisible.'

He paused briefly to examine his front paw where the machete had gone through it, grimacing at the blood.

(Heads up, I'll have to go after my next reply.)

It takes a moment for Toby to catch on, but once he does he bats it a couple of times with his paw, tail wagging excitedly at this new game.
"Pfft, yeah. My old man used to say that normal was boring. Guess that's why he went after my mum, the..."
He trails off, looking at Emelia with a little uncertainty, deciding it better to not risk a scolding if she was awake to hear him curse.
"...bloomin' witch she is."

The spectral feline appears from behind them, the list scrolled up in it's jaws, appearing to have no effect on the clarity of it's voice.

{As Vitis and Crowley were looking, a small knife gets flung from the darkness right at Crowley's back.}"Hey, look out!"

Ivy practically glowed at Jerry's thanks. 'You're very welcome,' she said smugly, then turned her attention to the ethereal feline.

'Hey, where's my thank-you?' Armin complained. 'I know I nearly died, but I still gave you time to run away.'

Crowley reacted instantly to the warning, whipping sideways as fast as a snake and avoiding the thrown knife with inches to spare. Without thinking, he leapt towards the spot where the blade had come from and struck out blindly, trying to hit the enemy he couldn't see. 'Ha!'

{As Crowley leapt, the only thing he felt was rapid, repeated slashes on his left side, cutting fairly deep. }

{Jerry smiles at Armin. } "Of course, Armin, you were helpful too. Thank you.}

Yeah! It snowed most of yesterday afternoon then a bit more in the evening (it really threw my older sister off because she opened her window for a bit and she turned around for a moment and just saw a bunch of white spots on the window and got really spooked and confused)
It got really heavy when I was walking home though, so I became a popsicle for a bit XD
