Out on the great plains a herd of bison calmy stood gazing under the cold night sky. With each breath of the bovines seemed to make the the small circle feel warmer. Ahote stood far from the herd keeping watch of any unusual movement as his purple eyes pierced through the night.

Grazing*

A massive, long dragon was slowly stalking across the plain, dull golden eyes narrowed as he tried to remember what he was doing. His long, thin, skeletal wings were tucked tight against him to the point that some of his sleek hair covered it. His tails dragged in the grass, and despite their size the sound seemed muffled and distant. Only his hooves made any sort of sound as the great Velz went along his way.

The herd seemed to take no notice, though Ahote had noticed something unusual. He trotted down from his spot and entered the circle of bison. "Nokomis, where are those kids?" He said speaking to an elderly buffalo. "You mean, Yishka? Hehe, he took his sister with him to check out one of the caves in the forest." The bovine had a raspy voice she cackled "I told him that there might be something exciting in there." The bull had an expression of shock. "You told him that? You sent them out there ALONE at night?" He huffed "Well of course, he seemed bored". Nokomis chuckled again.

Rohn continued along his way, eventually noticing the dark mass ahead of him. //That must be a herd or something. I should probably turn back soon..// The dragon kept walking forward, his head held low from fatigue. He got closer to the herd and yawned, mouth wode open and stretching his wings, then turning slightly around and stalking away. //Not worth my time. Just need somewhere to rest.//

Ahote was about to go full blown out on her. "LOOK" Nokomis exclaimed "It's the great spirit of the plains!" Ahote grunted. "Crazy cow that's not a spirit, probably just the horizon-" he could finish his statement the the old cow was already runninh towards the silhouette, her knee bones cracking. "SPIRIT"

Rohn's long ears twitched and he turned around. //Crap. They see me!// The dragon hesitated for a moment before taking off for the forest again, dragging his long, tored body as far as he could go. If there was anything he hated, it was strangers, especially ones who could be dangerous. Moonlight shone off his medallion and glimmered in his eyes, making them seem brighter than they were.

(i mean the crazy old lady's not far off, he is sorta a spirit)

This time whole herd started to stir, the bison charging in different directions. "See what you did crazy loon!" Ahote yelled, but soon got too distracted on calming the entire herd. Nokomis ignored him and still ran after Rohn calling "SPIRIT, oh great spirit, answer me what is going to happen? Are you troubled SPIRIT!"

Yishka had been walking in the forest for quite sometime now. "Where are we going again?" Ask Aiyana a little shakey. "It's going to be really cool, old Nokomis tokd me there were was something special around here." He stopped at the cave entrance. "Isn't she like mostly wrong on everything? I mean Pa said- Pa is a sore loser, besides he gets his fair share of fun." Yishka cut in. "I'm not sure that what he does is considered fun..." Aiyana mumble silently as she folled her brother into the cavern.

(Pfff she did start the stampede

Rohn glanced behind him, eyes glinting. Growling, he pushed himself to go faster, almost knocking down younger trees when he finally broke into the forest. The dragon struggled to get through the woods, as they were much more dense than what he was used to. Back home they were more spaced out around his den. His ears were swiveled back to hear the footsteps and calling of the insane bohine, and his medallion thumped against the ground as he basically had to speed-walk his way through the trees.

"SPIRIT COME BACK!" Nokomis called again. She had no entered the forest and started to follow his trail of wreckage.

"What's that noise?" Aiyana asked, Yishka turned to see the sudden fear in her eyes. "I don't know... best if we quickly take shelter from whatever it is." A long pause of silence was made and stared a bit at each. "Oh right" they both stated quickly scrambling to get into a corner of the cave.

Rohn growled and looked back. "I AM NO SPIRIT HERE!" He roared, knowing he was half lying. The young Velz bounded awkwardly forward again, the spiked tail accidentally colliding with a young tree and knocking it down as if lumberjacks had been chopping it and all he had to do was tap it lightly for it to collapse. He caught a glimpse of a cave and headed towards it, medallion starting to give a faint glow. //Only if I have to. Whoever this crazy persom is, they're not giving up.//

Ayiana and Yishka hid behind a rock in the cave, the only thoughts they had were //what is it?//

Rohn growled again, this time stopping and turning around. "I am no spirit!" He snarled loudly, and he looked directly at her as he whipped his tail into the trunk of another tree, sending splinters flying. "Leave me be!"

The bovine hobbled over slowly making her way towards the Velz. "Spirrriiiittt." She said again.

HOLY CRAP we just had a hUGE thunderclap that shook the entire house

"I am not what you call me," the dragon growled a touch quieter, eyes narrowed.
