About red demons

Unlike normal silver bloods that draw energy from a silver moon, Red demons need a red/blood moon,
They can whoever still draw energy from a silver moon but it would be the same as having to live off of just bread and water, it's distasteful and unsatisfying.
A red demon can go weeks without a red moon light but the longer there away from it, and it begins to affect their abilities and weaken their physically and Magic capabilities.
Their bodies begin to Crave the red moon light /or/ another means to gain energy...

Red demons have chaos Magic and with that they have the ability to drain life from other creatures and give it to themselves.
creatures with higher magic levels are more satisfying to there hunger then species with little or no magic.

( This is why Killy crave's silver blood so much because there creatures of high Magic content, Isaac however usually only feeds upon unintelligent creatures, even though it's less satisfying)

In doing this it's unknown what the lifespan of a red demon truly is.

( Omen is roughly about 50,000 and Isaac is older than that )

How they drain energy from others is by touch, ether with the hands or by biting, applying both drains the victim at a much quicker peace.

The touched area of the Skin of Their victim will turn black and is extremely painful as they drain energy from them, the longer the red demon has a hold on them there flash will begin to decay and spread it will spread throughout the body of there victim as they start to steal their life.

The victim can survive if they are released from the Red Demons touch, however the infected area would needed medical attention.

Note:
Most red demons wear gloves in here human form, to prevent any unnecessary accident.

If the red demon has enough light of a blood moon stored in their bodies, they are able to tolerate the feeling of the hungry and /some /can even touch others without inflicting pain.

Note: a red demon can touch another red demon and they don't drain each other energy.

( Because how Omen and Ai we're made, even though they have less red demon in them they were genetically modified to have stronger chaos Magic then even naturally born red demons, Omen and Ai are rather complicated and I'll explain more on them later )

Like normal silver bloods red demons are nocturnal, but unlike other silver bloods who can see during the day, a red demon eyes have a difficult time adjusting to the light, intend to avoid it.
red demon are also color blind but have extremely good eyesight at night

[ why does the red moon affect baby silver blood before there born compared to after and the any age Beyond that?]

Vaseterm are creatures of magic where they get this magic from is draw energy from light of a silver moon ( just your average moon) however a red moon drains this energy of there magic and poisonous the silver blood, it's very painful, and under a long exposure can cause many side effects including death.

Vaseterm genetics is rather... Complicated.
The silver blood contains high Magic content, and has a copying affect.

When a mother Vaseterm is with child, the moonlight she absorbs also goes to her child development.

A non Vaseterm mother when she conceives undergoes what called the kiss of the moon, during her pregnancy term her body undergoes a slight change that let's her absorbing moonlight for the baby as it develops.

As the infant is developing, they are inheriting different things, family features, magic and so on.

When the infant is still in development in there mother womb, there absorbing the moonlight she takes in for magic, and if the mother is exposed to a red moon, the light from it begins to poison her, the child she caring begins to absorb this poison and instead of inheriting some of the abilities of their parents the draining poison rewrite the child development and turns their magic their supposed to inherit into /chaos magic/ and they begin to drain energy from their mother as well.

As this drastic changes is occurring to the infant magic, the poison of the red moon also forces the child's body to begin to shift inside there mother,(which is very painful for both)
the process however is never complete leveling the infant deformed.

It isn't uncommon for the child's to be stillborn or the mother passing before she able to give birth and they both die.
If the child is born the mother ends up dieing shortly after giving birth, leaving the infant vulnerable to predators, but many silver bloods have a fear of red demons and will kill them before they can reach adulthood.

If the mother mate was a silver blood he would be undergoing the ' endless mourning' for his deceased mate, if he able, often times the father will take in his offspring, and care for them, however in doing this he is automatically outcast from what ever clan he comes from.

The father would be Force to inder the red moon light for his child to draw energy from, slowly poisoning himself and the fact that he would still be going through 'endless mourning' with out the support of a clan, the author's life expectancy is less than 100 years.

If the father is a non Silver blood, it ready depends on him, he likely wouldn't have the Vaseterms clingy that would be focused on the child, but he also would probably not be affected by the red moon, so it was really just depends on what the father would do.

One the red demon reaches adulthood they normally live solitary lives, unable to join a clan.

Red demon Heights

Even though red demon are usually born premature and are , they are quite the opposite as adults, as they grow into adulthood they they go through some severe growing spurts and are know to be freakishly tall as adults

[Isaac is 7'10 in human and 33 hands in his true form.

Omen is know as a Giant in his true form, this is because he has about a quarter red demon in him, it doesn't effect his human form much but it does his true form.

Half blood can be much taller, killy stood at 12'3 in his human form ]

Because of their deformity Red Demons have a difficulty shifting between forms, it's much slower and discomforting on them, they normally have to pause for a moment after shifting.

In their human form both male and female have marking on there bodies, males just have more.

Disguises

When a red Demon is in disguise, it the closest they are to having a normal human body (which can be quite the shock for them)
However even in their disguise there eyes still stay the same, and there marking, also in disguise their hair turns black despite whatever age they are.

Red Demons Royals
Just like themselves a royal red demon familiar is also deformed.

When a red Demon awakens to there War horse form, it takes much longer to do so then a normal Royal to do so,
their armor becomes twisted and Infused with there flesh.

A War horse demon will normally lose control of themselves in this form, do to the increase of power they gain, they become rather Savage and have a nasty habit of biting or eating things
(their helmets normally leave their mouth exposed.)

(This is why Omen rarely awakens using Killy, because Omen has a squeamish stomach and Killy has a habit of eating people.... Which leaves Omen feeling sick )

Red demon history

Red demons were first discovered by Soledormir when he was trying to figure out a way to corrupt Vaseterm's, when he took some to his world he discovered that the red moon inflicted pain on Vaseterm and he used it as a form of torture to them. One of them was an expecting mother and she lost her life giving birth to the first know red demon.
Soledormir curiosity about this new discovery, he found that red demons had unique abilities that regular Vaseterm didn't have, but much to his disappointment even though red demon bodies were deformed and unusual powers didn't mean there minds we're corrupted.

However Soledormir was still curious about red demon and found it entertaining to torture Vaseterm under a red moon.

This form of torture and eventually death under long exposure to a red/blood moon came to be called the 'red death'

Word got out about the red demons and what the blood moon could do to a silverblood, and other species start to use this against the Vaseterm and only made more distrust and hate for Outsiders, but even there own kind started to use this on rivals or those that did them wrong or to criminals.

This is were thing get divided within the Vaseterm people, some believed the Vaseterm should only be with there own kind, and that form life bonds with Outsiders and having half blood should be a crime, the most severe punishment was by Death, as others wanted to welcome Outsiders and make half bloods citizens to the Vaseterm people.

(More will be explain in the lore on Clans and Clan leaders )

At one time a Vaseterm high Queen was very close to in making half bloods citizens and forbidding the practice of the red death, but her rivals and those that Disagreed with her ideas Ambush the queen and forced her under a blood moon, the was with child and gave birth early with a red demon (Isaac) and died shortly after.

Even after the fall of Deluna the Vaseterm people are still divided, but even though some Clans accept Outsiders and half-bloods, red demons are Outkast and not welcome.

(Blue and Victoria are the first to open announce red demon are welcome to there Clans, which is unsettling to other Clan leaders) 

Even though most silver bloods will never see a red Demon (except maybe Omen if they unlucky) in there life time, they are still greatly feared and shunned mainly due to stories.

Some of the story say red demons eat and kill children, and in some cases can be true. Because of children being much smaller and fragile even an accidental touch from a red Demon bare hands can be fatal.

(Which makes One like Isaac very cautious and almost fearful being around children )

The worst red demon was Killy ( when he had his own body)
Killy son of Soledormir

Soledormir discovered the Vaseterm people, he wanted there gift of sight, he disguised himself and trick a Royal female that he love her, and over time she picked him as her life partner, later on she came to bear his offspring, she was with child for 8 years. Because Soledormir is a creature of chaos Magic, that pass to his unborn child, his mate became eel after conceiving and only got worse as there child grew, Sol care for her but when it was time for her to give birth Soledormir show his true intentions and focus her to birth under a blood moon making their son a red demon and killing her in the process.

Killy ( at one time) had the strongest continent of chaos Magic a red Demon ever had.

Abusing his powers along with his cannibalistic habits Killy was a Menace on Deluna before he disappeared.
