Changing appearances lore
For both Vaseterm's and Dreamer's
Silverbloods use different methods to appear more Human when needed, here why and how.
Vaseterm's ( all Silverbloods) are known for there flashy appearance, been flashy is a way of life for them, it's a way they attract potential mate, intimidate rivals or just to be easier to find.
( Vaseterm even like flashy or shiny things, there not like Dragons that hoard or get super clingy to it but it does catch there eye )
They didn't need disguises on there home world of Deluna ( other than half Bloods) but one they were forced to leave there home that all changed.
Because of there flashy appearance they stick out in a crowd and were easy targets for those who hunt them.
half Bloods can suppress there Silverblood enough to appear to look more like there other half, to blend in, but purebloods Vaseterm could not and we're getting picked off.

outside of the few that could use illusion magic to disguise themselves, They needed a way to blendin and appear more Human, this is were Dreamers come in...
Dreamer have a way in which they enchant items such as necklaces, Rings, bracelets, pendants, earrings Etc... To help there half Blood to shift and appear as they form there supposed to.
( I'll explain more in the Dreamer lore for Offspring but here's a quick summary)
Dreamer are usually born in there Dreamer form.
/Most/ Dreamer half Blood will have the form of both parents, and shifted much like normal Dreamer do
but when the half Blood is born from a non Dreamer mother they are born in the same form as her and can have difficulty shifting to there Dreamer or alternate forms, this is were the Enchanted items come in.
The Vaseterm that found Refuge in the 'Land of Dreams' were show how to enchant items and they adapted this knowledge to there own way over the centuries.
But it's very difficult to craft such items, and takes someone with experience to do so, making these items very rare and valuable
A spell can also be pleased on a pure blood Vaseterm to disguise them but it generally doesn't last that long.
