Jackson was born a Lycan, when he was little he lived a normal life until he was 5 years old when he found out what he was.
Shortly after him finding out so did his family and abandoned him through fear of what they were taught about Lycans at a young age.
At the age of 9 he was found by bandits who trained him to fight and steal, but once when his anger got the better of him he shifted nearly killing the head bandit and the through the fight he was nearly killed. After this he felt like he could trust no one and was alone, so he hid in a pirate boat that was near by. When the captain found him below decks he saw the potential of training him, so he taught him how to read the stars and to navigate by the sun and waves. By the time he was 14 he had joined The Privateers Lie.

Lycans are well known to be killers, at a young age other species even like elves and other types of werewolves are told to keep clear of Lycans and to run if one is ever seen.
If a Lycans emotions get the better of them they will shift into a blind rage even in daylight, but they also shift during a full moon. Lycans are also treated like monster for their harsh nature.
