Basically her family is going through some tough times, so she took up a job. Which being working with a crew of pirates. She isn't quite happy about her work, but is thankful for it. She mostly is seeing doing chores around the ship and generally is pushed around, though she seems to be ok with that.
Harper isn't really fawned of supernatural creatures, but isn't really annoyed by them either. When not working on keeping the floors clean, she is seen writing in her diary. One day Harper hopes in to save up for school to study higher levels of writing and rhetoric.
She is generally calm and reserved doesn't speak to others unless spoken to.
Edit: Almost forgot that she has a locket containing a picture of her family. :P
