Coldfire was rocking on his heels anxiously when Agriina and Giranja returned to the main lobby of the infirmary. Immediately, he rushed up to the shiftress. "Giranja..." The Tundra shifter took her hand and stared at her wrist where scars used to adorn it. "They're gone." He met her gaze, amethyst eyes filled with wonder. "You're healed."

Coldfire stared at Giranja a moment, unable to think of something to say. Instead, he pulled her into an embrace. "I'm happy for you," he whispered.

Agriina, who had been standing back for a while, finally spoke up. "You can save your mushy romance for outside," she remarked, surprisingly cracking a small, humorous smile.

"Yeah..." Day muttered, eyes wide. The little creature crawled out and looked up to them, it tilted it's head and stretched it's long sloth-like arms. "Such an odd creature..."

"Very well," Agriina said, not bothering to argue further. "You are welcome to leave whenever. Thank you for your cooperation." The faun dipped her head, then turned and vanished down the hall.

"Where to next?" Coldfire said as he turned and led Giranja toward the exit. "Your home's not too far from this part of town. We could probably do with a rest."

(Maybe! Spec and I have plans for Coldfire and Giranja right now, but maybe afterwards)

"Kerbia huh? Interesting... Do they act like humans or something?" The young Kerbria turned it's head all the way around to look at it's surroundings, it blinked curiously at the world.

The cottage where Giranja had settled was being reclaimed by a groupd of Kerbria, they had fled from Dralius previously but found it safe once again. Noticing someone else living in one of the homes, they cleaned it and didn't take it as one of their own. They started building a fence to surround the area, working hard to cut some trees down.

Coldfire smiled in agreement as he moved beside Giranja and linked arms with her. Together, the couple followed the street toward the cottage.

Even while they were a distance from Giranja's cottage, something didn't seem right about it. Then he caught sight of movement, there were strange creatures building something around it. "What the..."

Coldfire unlinked arms with Giranja, noting that he would need his hand for defense in case of danger. "We should check that out," he murmured, picking up his pace. His gaze flickered to the holster by his side, checking that he was armed.

Deep in the heart of the forest, Angeli was curled up in a ball moaning and crying in pain. Her broken leg was not healing and she needed help. Angeli was starving and she couldn't hunt

One of the owl-like beasts walked up to them, "Welcome!" She called out, gesturing to the house giranja lived in. "We cleaned up a little bit of the mess. Bit we are far too busy to fully clean." She walked off to continue working, her leopard-like markings very distinctive.

Before Iren left Okami to grieve Okami told her to tell Hiko to find her. iren needed to go back to the others anyway. She needed Oxy to lead her to JD, she didn’t want anyone else to get hurt. She arrived back and first walked up to Hiko,”Hiko...Okami wants to see you. She is alittle ways from here.” Iren told Hiko, he looked confused but nodded. “What happened to you? You’re all beaten up!” Hiko asked concerned. “D-don’t worry about me. I’m fine, it’s someone else that you should be worried about.” Iren said before walking off to Oxy.

Hiko looked at Kurina,”I’m going to go somewhere, you stay here.” He looked at her, his eyes shown that he was scared and worried. “Are you going to come back?” Kurina asked, sorry evident in her voice. He stayed silent, not wanting to give an answer. “Promise you’ll come back?” She asked concerned. “Yes, I promise I’ll come back.” Hiko said before leaving to find Okami. “He’s not coming back...” Kurina said her head hung low, Mazo walked over to her,”H-hey! Don’t be upset you’ve still got m-me!” He said trying to cheer her up, he was nervous.

Nearby a tall strong deer trotted near her, he flicked his ears to try and hear her. "Hello???" He called out, raising his hoof as his ribbons blowing in the suddle breeze.

"Hey, who are you? What are you doing?" Coldfire snapped after the owl-like creature. They were obviously friendly creatures, but the shifter still couldn't trust them. His hand wandered near his gun as he watched them work.

Angeli raised her head and stared at the ribbon deer, "who are you?" she said in agony from her leg

He lowered his ears and walked up to her. "The name's Affi.. But are you okay?..."

(Um fire... Angeli isnt a deer xD Shes a dragon of some sorts, dragon back feet, talon front feet, reptile tail, angel wings and a cheetah body and hewad for the rest.)

"One of you made a mess." She said as she walked off to continue chipping at the trees to get bark.

Angeli had always tried to sound strong but this time she could keep secrets form everyone. "no im not ok... I have a broken leg form a crash a while ago. I never got help and my leg is not healing.it hurts so bad..." She began tearing up and burst out crying, but a her scent tail that hung off the back of her normal tail bounced scent off of Shadow behind her. Whiping around she spoted her, "who are you?!"

"What are you talking about?" Coldfire shouted after the owl creature as it left. "What the crap," he muttered.

Iren walked up to Oxy,”Oxy, You need to take me somewhere.” She demanded. He looked confused, he stood up taller than her,”What?” He was angry. Iren shrunk slightly,”I need you to take me to JD.” Iren watched as Oxy’s face went from angry to fearful. “W-why?” His intimidating nature was gone. “Just take me to him.” Iren said not wanting to say why. “Iren, I can’t. You don’t know JD like I do, he’s a viscous, cruel, and unmerciful beast. He doesn’t care who you are, he just wants you so that he can gain something. He’ll torture you or kill you if he needs to. I can’t take you to him.”Oxy warned her, he was scared, terrified of JD, he couldn’t let Iren get hurt by that monster.

Coldfire scowled at the intruding creatures once more before racing after Giranja. He stepped through the doorway, then stopped and stared at the wrecked interior of the home. "What happened...?"

Angeli looked unsure at Shadow, then at the ribbon deer. "who are you both? id like to know your names." She lifted her broken leg -the front left leg- and gave it to shadow to look at

Iren sighed,”I know, but that’s exactly why I have to go.” Oxy shook his head, his mask moving slightly moving,”Just tell me why you need to go!” Oxy said becoming a bit irritated. “Because! Hiko’s mom, Yuki, is dead. JD killed her to get to me...I feel the best way to avenge her is to turn myself in so no one else gets hurt..” Iren said hanging her head low. Oxy’s eyes widened under his mask, //this poor Snowin has so much to deal with...she’s still so young, who said she should deal with all of this?//.

"I told you my name already.. Its Affi."

Angeli flinched at the pain, "that feels a bit better, thank you Shadow" She turned her head to the deer, "but what is your name?"

Coldfire frowned as he carefully walked deeper into the house, expecting something to jump out at any moment. There were cabinets smashed open, couches ripped up, floorboards torn out. Then it clicked. "Somebody searched through here," he said aloud.

Coldfire followed Giranja but stopped at her doorway. He scanned the room and eyed Giranja for a bit, then wandered into his own room out of curiosity. He froze at the sight; his jacket had been torn into pieces, spattered with blood, and on each piece there was something scrawled on them. At the sight of the blood, his legs felt weak and his head got light, but he wasn't sure why. He grasped the door frame for support. "Giranja..."

Coldfire's sickened gaze remained on the shredded coat. "Giranja... The words written on them... Those are the parts of the code you told me about - the ones you broke."

One of the owls walked in, weapon held on her shoulder, it was the same one from earlier. "Everything okay?" She tilted her head, winking.

"Ah." Day said, looking at the small thing. "Should we find it's parents? You think they are not far?"

Teeth gritted, Coldfire pushed himself off the wall and placed his hand on Giranja's shoulder. He opened his mouth to tell her that they could defeat their enemy easily, that no harm would find them, but the words wouldn't come. //Where is my courage?// he wondered as he stared at Giranja.
"...Don't worry about it," he finally said, although there was no conviction in his tone. "It's probably an empty threat. We can change locations, and we'll be fine."

Coldfire's gaze flickered to the owl, but he paid it little mind. He embraced Giranja. "Hey. Stop apologizing. None of this is your fault." The Tundra prince pulled Giranja away and met her gaze, expression a mixture of guilt and determination. "There's a portal at the top of the central Sylyorian mountain. We can go there, teleport anywhere, and this person will never find us." Coldfire knew it was cowardly, but it was their only option. //It's not like I can protect her, after all...//

The owl walked off, head dipped. "As you wish.."

"Hope so..." Day started walking out towards the plains, searching around. "Hmmm..." The little Kerbia made a small purr-like sound to Novali when he was scooped up.

"I'm already being hunted," the shifter murmured. He took her hand and made a move toward the doorway. "If we leave now, we can make it there before dark, and hopefully keep a step ahead of whoever's after us." He then slowed down, gaze on the ground. //But I can't even fly... How can I even protect her if I can't shift? If I can't fight, or do anything? Curse the loss of my arm!!// Coldfire slowly turned to Giranja again. His hurting gaze searched her face. "Maybe... you should go on without me."

Despite the seriousness of the situation, Coldfire could feel his temper slipping out of order. "Giranja, I'm serious. Leave me behind. You'll be a lot better off without me hindering you."

At last, the shifter's temper snapped. "You don't understand, Giranja!" He pulled his hand away abruptly, then dropped his voice. "Giranja, this arm--" He held out his amputated left arm, which ended abruptly where the elbow once was-- "When I lost it, I lost everything. I lost my ability to shift, I lost my magic - all of it. I've been completely defenseless.I'd be better off dead."
Coldfire turned away, tossing up his right arm in exasperation. "Of course, -you- didn't even notice that, did you?" Without allowing her to reply, he pivoted and looked at her coldly. "What am I to you, Giranja? Really. None of the fluffy words you said back at that other cottage. I want the truth. What do you possibly get out of me?"

(Sounds interesting Fire! But I like having conflict within this couple, once and awhile. Otherwise, things would get boring fast. XD And honestly, I can't enjoy a romance unless it's realistic - and that means it won't be perfect. There will be disagreements, arguments, and sometimes even break-ups. I'm willing to take the risk.

There was never anything between us." The shifter threw one last deathly glare, then pivoted and stalked down the hallway, intending to leave without another word.

Day flew up into the sky. "I'll be back." She scanned the area, flying around. She heard the sounds of wood chopping and building she spotted the owls and her eyes widened, she flew back and landed infront of him. "Found some!"

(Actually, no. But this one works much better than what I had originally planned. e^e)

Coldfire heard Giranja's weak pleas, but he ignored them. //I can't believe this woman... After all this time, I thought she was special.// His fists clenched tighter. The shifter stepped back into the daylight, and without even planning on a direction, he just started walking.

"Yeah! Not far too! Come!" She started running off in their direction. (Ill have booper go to Coldy. Day and nova are already heading towards Gira and probably will interact.)

Day lead them to the plains and into the outer area of the cottage. She pointed to the owls who were working hard. "There they are!"

Viona walked through the trees. Her stripped ribbons grabbing everyhing it wraps on. She was lost and lonely, no voice was near to hear, and nobody was there to be seen.

After crossing the field, Coldfire found himself at the edge of a forest. He scowled at the trees, scattered memories of his recent captivity returning to him. Still, he entered the forest, finding it better than the blaring sun in the open air. The shifter muttered various incoherent things as he walked, eyes on the ground.

Affi wandered around further, searching for the lake where water was. He sniffed the air and raised his ears, nothing. "Hello?" He called out hoping for someone to help hi. find water.

"Yup!" The female owl who was clearly managing everything had noticed them and walked up to them "Welcome to our humble cottage!" She greeted. Day tilted her head.

Viona raised her ears as her ribbons also stopped wrapping around things. "Ohla?.." She yelled.

He perked his ears as he heard someone answer. "Hello?? Anyone out there?!" He said again

Having completely lost all sense of his surroundings as he thought, Coldfire jolted abruptly when he heard the crashing sound. He paused and glanced about warily, unsure of what to look for.

Lora came out of her cave, a scowl on her face. She glared at the trees falling and hissed. "VHAT IS ZE MEANING OF DIS?!?!?" She yelled, charging in shadows direction in anger.

(If lora gets hurt, DAY will try to rescue her.)

Against his better judgement, Coldfire continued in the direction of the sounds, almost careless about his own safety. He just needed to get his mind off of what had just happened between him and Giranja.

"Puedo oirte a quien sea que este alli! Hola a ti!" She yelled. Viona turned around in multiple directions. She made her way to the lake.

Lora charged in raging fury and stopped to see the odd stranger. " HAT ARE YOU DOING DOUMCOF?????" (how does one spell idiot in german xD)

Coldfire considered saying something, until he realized Shadow's attention was not on him. When she readied her weapons to fight Lora, the shifter chose to quickly slip away unnoticed.

She scowls. "Combat??? What combat??? I'm just trying to understand why you are destroying these trees!!!! They are 800,000 years old!!!"

Coldfire stopped abruptly when Shadow's weapon blocked his path. Without turning, he shot her a dark glare through the corner of his eye.

She gently grabbed the owl off his back, smiling. "Thank you." She bowed in respect and went to bring him to his parents.

"Well, train somewhere else please! This is the only decent protection some creatures have from Dralius! Or the dragonhunters! They have practice dummys, go get some from them and practice in the plains." She huffed, anger still building up but she tried to stay calm. She glared at ColdFire. //Why was he here?...//

Coldfire's mood was already sour, but acting on his anger would not benefit him in the situation. With a dissatisfied look on his face, the shifter put his Han in his pocket and watched.

"Dralius scared us off. We are fine now. We are rebuilding." She spoke in small words. Day tilted her head more. //Such a fascinating race... How have i never seen them...//

Iren looked at Oxy, she needed to go and she wasn’t taking a no. “Oxy please, I need to so nobody else gets hurt!” Iren pleaded. Oxy sighed,”I’ve warned you...yet you still want to? Ugh, you’re stubborn.”. “Finally, now. Let’s go.” Iren said she had a very serious voice. Oxy sighed again and began to walk, every so often checking behind himself to make sure Iren was following. Iren’s mind was going through every thought, her feet seemed to carry her without her telling them to, she felt as though she wasn’t in control anymore, but she knew she was. She shook her head and brought herself back from whatever that was. “You okay?”Oxy asked to which Iren nodded.

Coldfire allowed a smirk to appear at the corner of his lips when Shadow knelt down. Gun still pointed toward her, he stepped over the pile of weapons and began to circle her, watching her every move. "Start talking," he commanded.

Maroosimun tilted his head. "How do you get all this money?!!... I need food... I haven't eaten in weeks..." He held his stomach with his paws.

Day nodded, "Yeah! Giranja!" She ran towards the house. "Gira???"

Coldfire was silent as he processed the information. "The portal is imbedded with portal stones, which require only touch and will to control. Of course, they are buried within the frame, so they aren't able to be touched. Does the portal need an energy boost to activate it?"

Booper woke up, "Agh..." She had fallen asleep. She searched for Gira and Coldy not couldn't see nor hear them. She got up, "Mommy???? Dad???!" Tears built up a little. //why would they leave me?...//

Coldfire reviewed the information she had given. "So in order to activate it, I need somebody capable of manipulating energy, which you claim to be." He stopped in front of Shadow, gun barrel near her forehead. "Are you saying that to get the chance to revolt, or do you genuinely wish to help me?"

"Ohhhhh" Affi blushed in embarrassment. "Sorry for the confusion... I was just looking or the lake. I'm horribly thirsty."

Coldfire scowled and took a few steps away, feeling his face grow warm. //Stupid know-it-all.... I'll need to keep an eye on her.// "Then I guess I'll need to bring you to the portal to activate it. Typically, you will leave your weapons here, but once I leave Sylyore, you are free to continue life." He flicked the gun's barrel upwards, beckoning Shadow to stand.

Coldfire watched Ziriel run off, swallowing the hint of remorse in his gut. "Too late," he said, returning his attention to Shadow. He beckoned in a northern direction. "Let's get moving. Fast."

Soon, they reached the edge of the forest. Coldfire glanced around until he spotted the center mountain, larger than its siblings. The sun was wavering dangerously close to its peak. Coldfire hesitated, grinding his teeth in thought a moment, before quickly slipping his gun back in its holster and grabbing the end of the vine. After pulling on it to tighten it, he led Shadow over to the tree and tied the remaining vine length around it.
He then stepped back and sat down on a boulder, but his mind wouldn't let him rest. Coldfire frowned at the woman before him. "I don't get it" he said, his tone confused and vulnerable, "Why are you going along with this? Why haven't you tried to turn on me, when you're obviously a skilled warrior?"

(Ooh that's good Spec!!)

She turned to Affi. "Nothing. Just to myself." Then Viona went closer to Affi. "So, what bring you here? Just water from lake?" Her english wasnt very good.

Well, they're kinda blocky, long claws, like toes. And her back feet are shaped like paws, except each toe is a claw.)

"Well... I've been living here for some time. But yeah I've been searching for water."

Then giranja finds him in blood, shadow laughing er something and giranja attacks her. Then right when shadow is about to slice gira in half ziriel finally jumps out and absorbs the blow, not being spied because of her resin. Then giranja flies off with them just in time before shadow can attack. And brings them to day and nova. Day grabs ziriel and carries her off to lora and gira brings coldy to oakwood.)
