i was crying so hard i didnt even hear my mom walk over and sit down beside me. i had forgotten she was there until she put a hoof around me and hugged me. "sweetie," she said lifting my my chin to look at my face. "there was nothing u could have done." i smiled weakly and hugged her back. and that's how we spent the night. the next morning, i made the slow journey to cloudsdale to see my father one last time, after dropping my mom at home.
