After the heavens were cut off, man didn't know what to do next, So they broke off into factions which populated the countries. Give or take a few centuries we are now 10 years before present day. Erul was a kingdom full of life and very prosperous. The king was a kind ruler who sought only to improve his kingdom for the better of his people. With that in mind, he wanted to make relations with the other kingdoms. At this time each kingdom was in its early stages and none thought it'd be wise to make any alliances quite yet so they all refused his offer. Furious that none would see it his way something dark overtook his heart and better judgment. He started growing an army. Using all his resources he made sure to have a large one at that. He enslaved hybrids from the villages of Afai. Only Hybrids since they were animalistic and powerful. He had his mages make spellbound collars that adapted to each hybrid and when activated the hybrids would go into berserker mode, attacking enemy and ally alike. He made Iclios his first target. He sent the hybrids as disposable soldiers first. After he would send in his own soldiers. He spared no expense and was very close to destroying Iclios and taking its lands. But due to his rashness, he didn't realize his resources were dwindling and soon he ran out of means to continue pursuing Iclios. He retreated his men but left the Hybrids to die. Iclios was now in shamble and ruin. It stays like that to this day, seemingly unable to recover from the mass war Erul inflicted on them.

Present day:
After the war, Eruls King grew fatally ill. Passing his rein to his son Lumious. Lumious was just as corrupted has his father from the same darkness. He wanted to continue his work no he wanted to go even bigger. He no longer wanted to be under the watch of the goddess. He felt the world no longer needed the goddess so he plotted. He sent out letters to every ruler inviting them to Erul for a meeting of some sort. Under the impression he was being genuine each leader obliged and set off to meet Lumious. On the way to Erul the group was met with a girl who was able to see into the future. Her name was Serah and she was the Goddess Destrias voice. (meaning she was able to receive visions from the goddess). Serah became fast friends with everyone she met and the royals and crew were no exceptions. They finally reached Erul and the castle where Serah gave them a warning to not attend the meeting. But with a feeling of purpose and curiousity, they all went to the meeting. Lumious separated the Royals from their party and cut straight to the reason why he wanted them there. He wanted them to surrender. But none went so easy and they left in a huff. Lumious quite perturbed kept his cool and had his guards 'escort them out'. The group was attacked which inevitably led to Serahs demise as she sacrificed herself to save her friends (This severed a link the world had to the goddess and now there's only one left which is the High Priestess in Freia). They all escaped and made sure to not leave Serahs corpse behind and made their way to Citrine where they would hold a funeral.

Awesome! A compilation of all the current Destria story elements! :D Now I don't have to tag jump to touch up on my destria knowledge xD

Oh yeah! And after Serah's Funeral. Lumen will have to depart to Freia to do stuff with The Necklace Of The Goddess. AKA the Goddess's Voice given to him by Serah.

Aria is still recovering from the injury to her side but a lot better than before. Cat, on the other hand, was in Iclios when Serah’s death happened but after hearing about it, she’ll be joining the group when she gets to Citrine.
Is that a good backstory for the next RP?

Something recently came to mind:

The King of Erul attacked Iclios because they wouldn't ally, right?

Then why is it called "War of Expansion"?

I came up with the name 'cos:

1: it sounded cool, lol xD
2: because it was previously explained that Erul attacked Iclios to expand borders.

But if the King of Erul attacked Iclios because they wouldn't ally, then would expansion really be the right word?
Or did the King of Erul attack Iclios because they wouldn't join AND because they wanted to expand borders?

Just a thought xD
