Jalen was walking through the mountain trail, wanting to find a certain stone to place in his collection. He wanted to also see the kinds of reptiles. He huffed and then sighed, "I need some other hobbies...or at least some friends...my brother has friends...why can't I?"

Jalen watched the paper as it drifted towards him, he snatched it from the air and he looked at it, "This...is wonderful artwork..." He blinked and looked around, then he saw the other and he ran over to her, "Hey ma'am, this...um...yours?"

Jalen smiled softly and then nodded, "Of course...your art is so detailed...and amazing."

Jalen hummed, "Well you see, I was out here to collect some rocks for my collection...it is the most entertaining thing I could do...besides hunt for some dragons...I want to own one...but many are so wild, even if you raise them from a hatchling they won't obey." He chuckled softly.

Jalen narrowed his eyes a bit, "Are you saying I look like I could not be kind just because of my look?" He placed his hand to his forehead and groaned, "Everyone says that, no one wants to be my friend because of the way I look. However, I am not changing anything, because truly, I am a book. My cover may not look interesting, but I am so much more in depth and amazing internally." He looked down, "New hobby? Such as what?"

Jalen looked down at her, "I never really wanted to get to know you...I don't think you understand, but my rock collecting hobby is way better than speaking with those who are so judging..." He sighed, "Here...let me start over. I am Jalen. I love rock collecting and dragons...I am a dragon knight." He held his head in his hand and muttered, "I want to make friends, but I don't want to seem too desperate." He sat down beside her and held out his hand.

He looked at her and he made the most menacing grin, "It is dolt like if I get killed, however..." He tapped his sharp nails against the ground, "If I turn it around...and I kill it...then I am brave..."

re: depending on which side of the dragon knight you choose to go after, they can either shift into a dragon have dragon-like powers, or tame them. there is a way to master all of those qualities but Claudiesa (the vepuran leader) is the only one that has been able to do all three.

The male replied with a slight blush on his face, "I am from a little ways down the mountain...in a small cottage..." He muttered, "And no...I would rather tame then kill one of the most fascinating creatures..."

He hummed, "No, no...I would not mind being killed by such a beautiful thing...that is actually my death wish...but I am not planning on dying." He gulped, "Cute? I am a full grown man...h..how can you call me cute!?"

He looked down at her drawing and he muttered, "And you are very accepting of my differences...for someone that looks like she does not accept anyone at all." He huffed, "Would you mind helping me find a certain rock I need for my collection?"

His eyes glowed brightly as he stared at the sketch, "T..that dragon...that is her...the one I am looking for!" He pulled out a book and he opened it to a page with a small picture of a dragon that matched the sketch, "I took a liking to calling her Alba...latin for fair, and white...because of her scales." He looked so intrigued.

His expression softened and he pulled the book to his chest, "I will not give up until I find her...I have been searching for her more than the rocks for my collection." He held up a finger, "And that is saying something."

Kollin, the younger brother of Jalen, was walking along the street. He saw a few people standing around a restaurant which made him wonder, "Is it that good?" Jalen ran up behind him and grabbed his brother by the side, "Hey bro! So.." He stood up straight, Kollin shuddered, "So...?" Jalen hummed, "Like the new restaurant?" Kollin sighed, "I would like it better if you were not so negatively effective on everybody...do you know your aura makes my eyes twitch?" Jalen shook his head, "You are just saying that." Kollin rolled his eyes and bumped into someone when he was trying to get through the crowd, "OH SO SORRY!"

Cat was sitting on the sidewalk relaxing after a very long dance when some guy’s knee bumped into her head. “Hey! Watch where you’re walking!”

Kollin looked down at her and groaned, "I apologize ma'am." Jalen huffed, "You should not be standing around here...unless you are going for the food." He pointed to the restaurant.

Jalen held out his hand to her, "Here...follow me...I will show you why..." He waited for her, he looked at her sighing because he knew she was way too pretty for him to even touch her.

Cat glared at the two men. “I was just resting. You would rest too if you were dancing for a hour and a half like I was.”

Jalen made his way up the mountain and he pulled out his sword, "This is Dragwing..." He huffed, "I am going to use this sword to track her down...I know her location, she is close by. And the way I will tame her...is by talking to her...it may sound crazy...but I am sure it will work..." He kneeled and looked over a rock, "Heh...I knew it...she is building a nest...do you see it." He pointed to a huge pile of hot rocks.

Kollin tapped his boot against the concrete, "You should not have been dancing in the middle of a busy section then...." Jalen hissed, "Brother! Be nice!" He held out his hand to Cat. "Come on...I will help you up...maybe I should get you a nice place to stay and rest, without being in the way."

Cat accepted the helping hand and got up. “Believe it or not, I’m a dancer. Dancing is my occupation and if someone wants a dance from me, I’m going to do it. It’s just the fact that that guy wanted an extended dance time.”

Kollin blinked, "Really? Would you dance with us?"
Jalen growled, "Stop thinking that way Kollin."
Kollin blushed, "What way?"
Jalen stared blankly at him, "You know what way." He stopped and hummed, "We will take you to a hotel...pay for a room and everything.

Cat raised her eyebrows in surprise. “I got to admit, that’s the first time someone’s offered to help me relax instead of asking for a dance.” She turned her gaze to Kollin. “I’ll dance for you next time. For now, I feel exhausted.”

Jalen smiled and looked over at the beautiful dragon, she huffed and his eyes glowed with a burning passion, "I...want her..." He mumbled. "You are not the only one...that has called me crazy..." He frowned a bit.

Kollin nodded, "Yes...yes..." They both take her to a nice hotel. Jalen bought a room for her and he handed her the key, "Here you are ma'am...hey, if you want we can take you to the restaurant."

Jalen looked at her and he then drew his sword, "I am going to talk to her...like I said...If it does not work...run..." Jalen jumped over the rock and he slowly walked over to the dragon, she looked back at him and she hissed. Jalen held his sword down, he never held it up. "Alba...come here...I want you to know that I will never hurt you..." She snorted and growled lowly, her sharp silver teeth showed and her breath was hot.

Cat smiled and shook her head. “Thank you, but no. I think the first thing on the menu is a good nap. Then something to eat. It was nice to meet you two. I’m Cat, by the way.”

The male gulped as he saw the dragon turn to him, he saw she was not to happy. "...It is okay...I will leave you if you want me to..." The dragon hissed again but stopped, she acknowledged the other did not mean any harm, however this still did not stop her from being careful. He placed his blade down and walked closer to the other, "I have always...wanted to meet you...up close..."

Vepuras capital was a sight to see. Building etched out of the mountains itself. Dragon knights walking their dragons as if they were pets and not man-eaters. James was currently at a market stall talking with a very flustered looking man.
"As I said you have quite the handsome face." The man would studder as James talked to him eventually covering his face from how flustered he was. James took this moment to steal an apple. Putting it away he started talking again "Oh dear look at the time I have to go, but I'll make sure to come back ok?" he gave the man a wink before walking away pulling out the apple and taking a bite out of it, only to bump into Jalen.

Jalen made a quick reaction to step away from the other, he looked at him with a straight face and he muttered, "You need to watch where you are going...but I apologize for not paying attention as well." He looked around, "Why are you in such a rush...might as well slow down before you hurt yourself or other people..." He gave off the worse kind of aura, at the moment. Like something was bugging him.

Jalen stared at the dragons expression for a while before sighing, "Come to me...please Alba..." She got a little closer to him, her eyes seemed to soften as Jalen placed down his sword. "It is alright..."

James quirked a brow and looked at Jalen but nodded in agreement to his statement "Yea I do need to watch where I'm going, But then again I wouldn't have bumped into such a handsome face. But! none the less I'm sorry for bumping into yah." He continued looking at Jalen seeing how his face looked a bit perturbed. "May not be any of my business but what seems to be biting you in the rear?" (Slang for whats the matter)

Jalen huffed, "Of course, see ya." The two walk out of the hotel and then go to the restaurant. "...Mm...It smells so good...I wish Cat were here to experience the delicious array of foods." Jalen said as he sat down. Kollin rolled his eyes. "Aren't you gay?" Jalen hissed, "AREN'T YOU STRAIGHT!?" Kollin looked at Jalen for a second before responding, "I only flirt with girls...not boys."

Jalen hummed, "I am just wondering how my brother is doing, that is all." He lied though. That was not what he was worrying about, but he would rather not tell anyone he did not know. He knew they would think him crazy. "It was nice being able to converse with you though, hopefully you don't mind staying still for a while and chatting." He looked at him with hope that he could get to know the other better, he absolutely loved talking and making new friends, though he did not look it.

Jalen held out his hand and the dragon placed her nose to his hand, she growled a bit but did not move. Jalen did not move either. The dragon eventually stopped growling, and then Jalen rubbed her nose, "Shh...it is okay...I am so happy you have not tried anything yet..." He looked visibly relieved.

James peered at Jalen seeing how his eyes darted to the left when saying his previous statement and indicator he was lying. James, however, didnt want to pry the man for information if he didn't state it flat out when he initially asked. "We can talk if you like." He takes another bite of the apple he had. "Though perhaps not in the middle of the road yah?" He said as people pushed pasted them.

Jalen smiled at her and nodded, "Thank you for caring for me...even if we were but strangers to eachother just minutes ago...thank you." He sighed, "Alba needs to stay up here...just because I tamed her, does not mean I can stop her from being free, and she knew that..."

He looked down and shook his head, "It is depressing...but I try to ignore the fact that I will probably never court or have someone love me. It does not matter, for I am looking for something more important as of now..." He huffed, "Alba..." He looked over at the other, "I am not going to admit who I have fallen for in this moment either...it will be evident in the future."

Jalen snickered, "Oh...nothing." He walked back down the mountain with the other, into the crowded market place. He made sure the other stayed behind him, many people would just try to get away from him like he was some kind of disease, but Jalen did not seem to mind, he was fine with others not bumping into him. "Ah...yep...here we go." He walked up to a convenience store and opened the door, to which he was greeted by a group of people hanging around the counter. "Brother!" A really tall male with short black hair shouted from across the store. Jalen sighed, "I have c..." He was interrupted by the bickering of a petite, curly blonde haired woman and a really short, curly brown haired male. "No REBECCA! I told you that bringing that stuff to the convenience store could give people a severe allergic reaction, or worse, a asthma attack!" The little male puffed, the woman payed no attention. Jalen smiled at this, he thought it pretty funny. "So everyone...this is my new friend and dragon hunting partner!" He pulled James in front of him. A male about the same height as Jalen's brother got up from a chair he was sitting in and he held out his hand, "Nice to meet you, wanna be part of our little group? If so, I will introduce you to everyone."

Jalen looked at the other for a bit before rubbing the back of his neck, "Oh...um...yeah...sorry about that, I forgot." He looked back at Alba, which gave him a dissatisfied look. "What are you looking at, you are not any better!" Alba growled deeply and whacked him upside the head with her tail. "Ow...ow...alright...fine...you win." He smiled and held out his hand, "Come, I will show you my rock collection if you want?"

Jalen narrowed his eyes and he picked up the other and placed her on his back, "...Fine...you asked for it..." He started to dart down the mountain, Alba followed him. Jalen screamed, "NO ALBA! BAD ALBA! Go back to your nest!" Alba made a saddened sound and Jalen groaned, "Great...now I have two women to focus on..." He stopped at a small cottage and nearly tripped because of the forward weight. "Alright...let me go get my wallet and I can take you out to eat."

He sighed softly, "Yeah...of course." He walked in and then sniffed himself, "I smell good? How...I did not take a shower yet..." He groaned and he walked outside, "Hey...uh...come in, I got some snacks in the pantry so you can wait...I am going to take a shower."

Jalen's face was blank, "What is the difference between walking in on a woman and walking in on a man...I find nothing different...except that women have fat on their chest." He sighs, "Fine I will get out." He walked out and then sat on his couch, "Women...they are so confusing."

He walked into the bathroom and he started to undress, then he took a short shower and he got back out without his shirt on and some tight jeans, "So...you ready?"

James blinked twice from practically being picked up and set infront of this group of people by Jalen. "Ah hello" James shook the mans hand. "Part of your group?" Hes never been in a group before. Only being a lowly soloist thief who honestly would leave any partner he had. So being asked to be part of a group caught him off guard and he was actually a bit excited in joining. Realizing he was internally monolouging and still shaking the mans hand he quickly pulled it away. "If Jalen would like me too o dont see why not." He said with a small smile "Hes the only reason why im here at the moment."

Jalen frowned and he walked over, he sat down on the couch and muttered, "Really, I do apologize. I seriously did not see anything I swear..." He looked away, not guilty for walking in on her.

Jalen looked down at James and he nodded, "Well...I did bring him here." Jalen smiled down at James and he muttered, "Alright, so the one that you were shaking hands with is the bronze in our group. His name is Joshua." Joshua bowed, "Pleasure to meet you." the shorter male ran over and hugged around Josh, Jalen hummed, "That is Johnny, him and Josh are married. Johnny is pretty chill, but he does not really like greeting new people, he is shy." Johnny hid behind his tall husband. The girl that Johnny had been arguing with came over, "Hi, I am Rebecca!" Jalen chuckled, "Yes, that is Rebecca, she is the manager here." Jalen looked over to his brother, "That is Kollin, my younger brother." Kollin came running over, "Did you finally get a boyfriend?!" Jalen hissed, "He is not my boyfriend! He is a friend! I met him today, and we talked and got along...so FRIENDS!" Kollin snickered, "Sure...and Tracy is my best friend." He pointed to a cute red head in the back of the store restocking drinks. She turned when she heard Kollin and she blushed, "Oh...hi...how are you Jalen...and who is your new friend?" She walked over with a small soda, "Here...this is free to newcomers." Rebecca purred, "Especially cute newcomers."

Jalen groaned as he walked down the street, they stopped at a convenience store and walked in, "Hey guys..." The group looked over, "Oooh...Jalen...who is the girl?" Kollin got up and ran over, the others were sitting down, the only one stocking was poor little Johnny. "She is gorgeous, where'd ya find her? Oh, why hello ma'am, aren't you a sight for sore eyes...heh...and sore muscles." Jalen mumbled, "What did you do?" Kollin replied, "Well I was helping Johnny stock, but the boxes are so heavy..." He wiggled, "My limbs cannot take it. That little man has some strength."

I wanna know why she is hanging out with Jalen!" She was envious and flustered. Jalen leaned against the wall beside the door, "Can I have what is in the box?" Sad to hear that your guy's parents aren't around but cool that you made your house!" he smiles as he overlooks the menu as well "My parents dropped me off at an orphanage when I was really little. So I'm not sure where they are currently..." he sighed "Well that got depressing real quick" he laughed softly and looked up from his menu. "So what do you recommend?"

Jalen looked away from the other, kinda feeling bad that the other was an orphan, he never knew what it was like to be without both parents. "Hey...don't worry...you have a family now. Our little group will take you right in...trust me." He looked at the other in the eyes while saying this, he meant it. After a bit of looking back at the menu, he replied, "I would recommend the fish...it was good...but caused me to have an allergic reaction. I will never eat it again...but I highly recommend it...the dish comes with two sides of your choice, and steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes as main sides...if you don't want that, you may ask not to have them."

He muttered, "So, your parents did not drop her off at the same orphanage?" He wanted to lightly tread on this part of the conversation, he made sure to keep a serious posture.

"Hm? Oh shes not my blood relative. I met her at the orphanage. And she taught me everything I know, the flirting, stealing, how to survive on my own." He leaned back in his chair and crosses his arms "Then she was old enough to leave the place and so she did. I wasnt and had to stay" he looked up at the cieling "When I left we met once and then all signs of her ever exsisting vanished." Once he saw the food he pushed it aside for the moment, he answered, "I heard rumors of the dragon, white as snow and very quiet, but brave enough to show herself in front of the old man that told me. I decided to look for her...because I did not know she would be my dragon, I just felt like I had to look for her. The picture I showed you...is the first and only picture I have caught of her...I have not seen her since, but I need to find her...I want to tame her."

He finished his salad and he pulled out the money and placed it down on the table. "...That was amazing...thank you for staying with me." He hummed and then heard some drunken fighting in the corner of the store, he slouched a bit and looked disturbed, "Well...where would you like to go next? I am all up for spending some time with you and getting to know you better...Because we are..." He does the air quote thing and snickers, "Boyfriends."

"I'm not quite sure" He looked out the window and saw how late it was getting "Well since you live here an what not perhaps you could show me where a nearby inn is." He stood up and took out a coin bag leaving a nice tip for the waitress. "Come on its getting loud in here anyway" he gave Jalen a soft smile. "Id like to know my 'boyfriend' better as well" He laughed again.

James pulled up his scarf a bit, looking a bit distant for a second but he smiled right after. "But I wont leave till we find your dragon so that may take a while anyways so who knows" he laughed.

He stopped in front of the hotel with the other, "I wanted to tell you, I really adore you...you are the most dynamic person I have ever met...actually the only person that I really met that did not run away from me...I thank you so much for that...and I want to leave you with this." He pulled off one of his necklaces and gave the other it. "I can see you from a mile away with this on you..."

Jalen muttered, "All of these necklaces were hand crafted by my father, he mined for the Clinohumite and smoothed it down, then he wrapped some black leather into the back of it." His eyes glowed softly and he placed his hand on his head, "You have a safe night...tomorrow morning meet me up at my house alright?" He turned to leave, his chest tightened as he felt the feeling he did before when he was admiring the others cuteness, he tried to shrug it off, it was really hard though.

James watched Jalen walk away before turning into the Inn. He touched his head where the other had placed his hand. James got a room and was left alone with his thoughts. He held up the necklace that was given to him and stared at it as it swayed. He eventually took off his scarf and slipped the necklace over his head.

He chuckled and then waved his hand as a gesture to follow him. He walked up the Mountain and Jalen was collecting some rocks near a small cave close to the cottage. "There he is."

Jalen turned to hear the other, he was shocked and his face flushed red when he saw the other wearing the necklace, it warmed his heart to see something so precious of his on another thing he deemed precious to him now. "Hey James...you ready to go find Alba?"

James snickered a bit as he waved Kollin goodbye. He walked toward Jalen and gave a thumbs up "Yep! All set." He showed him a bag he was carrying "I brought water and snacks, that I actually paid for this time, and if anything gets dicey I brought my dagger." He was quite proud of how prepared he was.

Jalen picked up his own little bag and he hummed, "I got my book and I got my pick...and lights." He pulled the back onto his shoulder and he pointed to the sword on his back, "I got Dragwing if things are too much for your dagger." He smiled down at the other and he placed some rocks he found in the back he had, "Alrighty, let's go..." He walked up to another cave, it was bigger and deeper than the one next to his home. "Here is is...the first cave I believe she may be in...If not, at least I can find some new stones!" He looked so giddy.

Kollin facepalmed, "He loves men." Jalen nodded, "I do not wish to court with anyone, but people who catch my interest."

The waitress came over and placed down the food, "Two fish combos and one salad...here you are ma'am...sirs..." Jalen took his plate and looked away from Dabria, "...I am sorry."

Jalen sighed, "Collecting rocks is amazing." He smiled a bit, "I love collecting them..." Kollin looked at him and sighed, "See, his father was a miner, and loved to collect all sorts of things down in the mines. That is why he is so hooked."

Jalen narrowed his eyes at her and mumbled under his breath, "I don't like her..." Kollin shook his head, "It is alright, it will get better. Hey, It is alright, he is just not himself when he is around girls, he really is nice."

James nodded and started walking into the cave with Jalen "So whats your plan to tame Alba? Are you going to capture her, talk to her, offer her some type of offering?..." James asked looking around the cave, sticking rather close to Jalen so that he wouldn't get lost in said cave.

Jalen walked down the rocks and he answered quietly, "I am going to talk to her...I make an amazing persuader James..." He turned to James and noticed that even in the dim cave, he could see the gleam of his necklace. "James..." He took the others hand and muttered, "Stay near me...until I go up to her..."

"That's a dangerous approach," He said, he'd be lying if he didn't worry if it was completely safe. they were going to a fire-breathing lizard of death, but James gave him the benefit of the doubt and pressed onwards. When Jalen took his hand the other could not see it due to the darkness of the cave but James' face has gone completely red. "A-alright" His voice cracked slightly and James coughed to clear his throat "Alright" he sighed thinking 'geez this man makes me sound like a love struck school girl.'

Jalen looked around the cave, his eyes glowed brightly as he looked for more entrances deeper into the cave. "Alright...I think I found a passage to a huge cavern..down here...s..." He paused as a grumbling sound shook the cave. "S...she is here!" He silently screamed. He pulled the other to one side of the cave and he hugged him, "Wish me luck...if something happens...you run...get out...okay?" He held the other for a bit before sliding down the rocks to the entrance of the cavern.

James watched Jalen slide down the rocks with worry "Be careful!" he said in a whisper like yell. Instead of staying where Jalen took him to, he moved to an area where he wouldn't be easily spotted but was able to see what was going to happen. He pulled out his dagger just in case "If things go wrong we're both getting out of here." He said to himself. He narrowed his eyes as they lit up slightly as he tried to spot where Jalen was going.

Jalen walked into the cavern and his eyes immediately caught sight of the huge white dragon, "...Alba..there you are..." He walked closer to her and she turned her head, her ruby eyes slit and she hissed loudly. Jalen trembled and stood back, "It...it is alright girl...I have come here not to harm you." His voice echoed through the cavern and could be heard in the cave. The dragon made direct eye contact with him, and he did so back. He worried about James, and what would happen to him if he screwed up, so he stayed still and calm.

"A pure white dragon...." he saw how the dragon was moving, though threatening she didn't look to be readying to attack but that didn't mean James wasn't going to let his guard down.

Jalen held his hand out, the dragon inched closer with its mouth opening and low noises coming from it's throat. Jalen backed up again, he hit the wall that James was on the other side of. "I promise I will treat you well...and give you all the freedom you want." He was starting to tremble again.

James didn't want to startle the dragon with his presence ultimately endangering Jalen even more than he already was. So he slipped his hand through a hole in the rock wall and grabbed Jalen's hand as a reassurance. Feeling how he was trembling James whispered loud enough for Jalen to hear but not the dragon "hey calm down you can do this." He gave his hand a light squeeze.

Jalen built up the courage and stopped trembling as soon as he felt the others hand touchh his. He took a deep breath and sighed, "Alba." The dragon stopped, then she leaned her nose close to the free hand which was outstrectched for her, she looked trusting now. Jalen's eyes widened and he gasped, "James...s..she...is...not attacking me..."

James let out a sigh of relief "Thats good news." He chuckled slightly. He didnt know whether or not he should come out or not but he continued to hold on to Jalens hand subconciously.

Jalen looked at the dragon for a moment, "Alba...I have to leave now..." He hushed, "I will come tomorrow." The dragon snorted and she turned to walk over to her nest.
Jalen let go of the others hand, only to walk back into the cave and wrap his arms around the others neck. "Thank you James...I adore your support."

He took off his bag and opened it up "Heres a water cantine for you." he handed Jalen the water "And as for the food I brought, I have a few apples and some jerky." he pulled out an apple and a few pieces of the jerky for him as well.

Jalen looked at him and then at his coat, his eyes narrowed a bit and he then turned his attention to the jerky, "Mm...thank you." He took the jerky and sighed, he felt something behind him, a huge gust of air, and then loud grumbling. "Alba...is that you...do you want some too?" The dragon snorted in response.

But, he was on a mission to find his sister and if he couldnt find any leads here he has to move on to another place.

He kissed his brother on the forehead. "For now, we have a week correct? Let us enjoy it here a while longer before leaving." He turned to James, "Right...what would you like to do first?"

Jalen put his hand to his mouth and muttered, "If that happened...I would never tell..."

Jalen got up and picked her up, then they both walked out, "Times up ma'am, we gotta get you to your home...um.." He looked around, "Which is...somewhere..."
