Now for the refs, all characters need to get my ok before being accepted into the group and being allowed to rp in the world.
Unto basics, for the most part there is no specific look for the refs, just do what ever you want. There is however info you'll need to include on your ref. (Either in description or pic.)
Name.
Age.
Gender.
Magic. (Their magical specialty, use your imagination)
Division. (A character needs to have been in the school for more than a year to get into the others. aka not freshman)
And finally include the #TLOGref tag for ease of finding refs.

Now unto races. for the most part what your character is is up to you, there won't be to much of a limitation on species and such.

Humans: Only some are born with magic, many small village settlements believe magic to be evil, so it's not uncommon for mythic children to be slaughtered.

Elves: An entirely magical race, it's rare or nearly impossible for them to not be born with magic.

Dragons: Dragons are mysterious creatures that rarely show themselves to others, it's uncommon but not unheard of for them to move or live elsewhere. very little is known of their ways.
