Noticing that the Wolf Knight seemed to be waiting for him to attack first, Armin hesitated momentarily before deciding it didn't matter. He made his move. Sword drawn back, he leapt forwards and brought the blade down over the draugr's arm, aiming to cut it off so that the creature would not be able to wield two weapons at once.

(Hi King! How's things?)

On the roof of a nearly intact building, Anastasia waited motionless in her dragon form. She knew the top-hatted man was nearby... somewhere down below... the second he was on his own, she was going to get him. And Lord Sargon would be happy...

{Stepping back, the wolf knight avoided losing its arm. Matching Armin's speed, the wolf knight then ran forward slashed at Armin's leg, trying to disable him. Something seemed very unusual with how this creature was moving. Almost as if it were.....hollow on the inside.}

Despite being taken off-guard by the draugr's quickness, Armin responded in kind, jumping back just in time so that the blade only carved a shallow cut in his leg. Ignoring the wound, he aimed a feinting blow towards the draugr's head, making it think he was attacking there before he whipped his sword the other way and slashed it across one shoulder.

//That investigator had better not be dead by the time I get there,// he thought grimly.

{After dragging Jerry a fair distance, Dianne throws him to the ground and angrily addresses him.} "Alright, Garvey, spill it! What do you know? How do you know what //this// means to me?!
{Jeremiah raises his hand in a submissive fashion.} "Alright, look, there's a good explanation to all this..."
Dianne:"Tell me, NOW!

After checking that the group had moved away from the hospital, Mortikai walks out of the broken glass door and heads in the opposite direction, unaware of the impending doom watching him from above.

@Draco
Keenan walks ahead of the group, scanning the surroundings for both danger and landmarks to lead them back to the children's home. He picks at his bandages a little.
Toby bounces after Jed, barking happily.
Turning to look at them, Keenan frowns a little.
"Hey, can you two quieten down? We're trying to get outta here alive, remember?"

Jed did as he was told, becoming silent and nudging Toby as if telling him that he should too.

Noticing that Mortikai was walking away from everyone else, Ana immediately perked up and followed him with her eyes, watching him like a cat with its prey. Her wings stretched out, and without warning she dived off the rooftop, landing with a thud just behind the strange man. She grinned toothily and waited for him to turn and notice her.

{The draugr made to parry the head blow, and took the shoulder wound. The cut revealed that this creature //was// hollow, consisting of only of dessicated skin, air, and bone. Snarling at Armin, the draugr feigns both slashes at Armin's head, then once again, going for his legs.}

Armin successfully dodged this time, the blades whipping past him with less than an inch to spare. 'What in the devil's name are you?' he asked, taking in the draugr's strange appearance. The fact that it didn't seem to be a solid flesh-and-blood creature didn't reassure him. It was disturbing how such a monster could live.

While the draugr's arms were still extended from its missed attack, the vampire struck out, once again trying to sever his opponent's hand.

Toby makes a quiet "boof" noise, then angles his ears backwards to look sorry.
Seeing this, Keenan walks to them and gently pets their heads, smiling a little.
"Thanks."
"Hey, that means you're a friend now!"
Ango laughs lightly.

With a sigh, he turns, glancing the dragon up and down without flinching.
"Now, what do you want? I was just trying to take a walk through this lovely burning city of ours."
He says with a hint of sarcasm.

Anastasia smiled. It wasn't a very nice smile.

'You're a funny one,' she said. 'But I'm afraid you'll have to take your walk later! You see, I've been sent by the great and noble Lord Sargon to bring you to him. He believes you know things that could be... /useful/ to our cause...'

"Let me guess, it has something to do with killing humans? Or do I get the answer from the man himself? If he even is a man."
He casually crosses his arms, looking somewhat bored.

Jed wagged his tail and stuck his tounge out a little, but didn't bark again.
He stuck his nose in the air and sniffed, checking for any unusual scents.

The blue dragon hissed warningly. 'You won't be so cheerful once you're in front of Lord Sargon! As for what he wants... I think he'd rather tell you himself.' She took a step closer. 'Now then, top-hat-man, are you going to climb onto my back willingly, or will I have to make you?'

"Either way, I'm sure your boss wants me intact, so attacking me wouldn't be the best idea."
He grins a little, stepping around to the side of her.

The shifter starts walking again, staying cautious.
"Hey lion boy, if you shake any more I'd say that you're cold."
"Huh? What? I'm not shaking. I'm not even scared!"
He frowns at Ango, trying to defend himself.

Hey, I'm not completely gone, just busy.

'I don't need to hurt you to get you to accompany me!' Ana snarled, flexing her claws threateningly. 'For the last time, top-hat-man, CLIMB ON, or I'll pick you up and carry you there hanging upside-down.'

(Aggron - No worries, we're all busy sometimes. Take your time.)

"I'd rather not loose my hat, thank you, considering it's the only thing you can identify me by."
He says casually while climbing onto her back, removing his hat to keep hold of it while in flight. With one hand, he brushes his blueish hair out of his face.
"No time like the present. Let's get going."

Ana let her toothy jaws fall open in a grin. 'Good choice, top-hat-man,' she whispered, spreading her wings in preparation for flight. 'Lord Sargon will be SO pleased with me for this...'

Still mumbling to herself about Sargon, she took off and quickly flapped high over the ruined buildings.

Jed let himself make a small noise, because HE WAS AMUSE.

(pffft sorry i didn't know what to put,

{The draugr offers only clicking and popping sounds as a reply after narrowly avoiding Armin's attack. Instead of making a follow up attack, the wolf knight jumps back and tilts its head at Armin, as if deciding on what to try next.}

(Btw, this draugr can only match Armin's speed because it is indeed hollow. A standard draugr wouldn't be able to keep up. Also, get ready for a wall of text.)

His grip on her tightens slightly as she takes flight, he relaxes slightly as they level out.
"I have a name, you know."

He swiftly turns away, walking off.
"We don't have time for...this. We need to keep moving!"

Armin moved backwards, out of the reach of the creature's blades. 'You're an unnatural little monster, aren't you?' he said cheerfully, attempting to distract it so that he might be able to run past. 'I don't know why I'm talking to you. You probably can't speak or understand me.' He stole a glance in the direction Dianne had dragged Jeremiah off. He couldn't hear any voices, but maybe they were just too far away to hear.

Ana ceased her muttering abruptly, as if startled that he was actually talking to her. 'Hmmh, I'm sure you do,' she replied slowly. 'But your name is of no importance unless Lord Sargon wishes to hear it. You are worthless, and should consider yourself lucky you're even getting his attention!'

She flew over a row of houses, heading towards a tall office block -like building that hadn't been ruined yet.

{Jerry swallows visibly before continuing: "Lucci."
Dianne"What?"
Jerry: "That locket was given to me by a man named Lucci, who claimed to know you. He told me to give it to you when my need was most dire."
{Dianne's expression becomes exceedingly more angry.}
Dianne:"WHAT!?"
Jerry:'"I-Uh--sh!t, he was a powerful telepath, ok? He showed me one of his memories, he was a child at the time, but you looked the same, you were in some kind of black armor, and you told him your story about Ogden and Mirabella, and..."
{He stops abruptly when Dianne suddenly picks him up and snarls in his face.}
Dianne:"What did he //look// like!?"
Jerry:"Uh-uh-Tall, blond hair, light blue eyes, definitely wasn't human..." (Cont)

{The draugr does the one thing no one would expect it to. It spoke. Its jaw unhinged and it spoke with Armin's voice, simply parroting back to him what he just said.} "You're an unnatural little monster, aren't you?"

"Pfft, I somehow doubt that."
He says quietly with a slight chuckle.
"I'm guessing that you have a name too, but you're probably just as worthless and lucky to have your superior's attention."
He shifts his position slightly.
"After all, I'm the right hand man of a dangerous spirit, while you're most likely just a minion."

(Cont) {Jeremiah is once again cut off as Dianne abruptly throws him into a tree. Jerry hits the ground winded, but then notices something. All the shrubbery around Dianne is suddenly dead and withered. Letting out an outraged cry, Dianne turns around and punches a tree with such force, that it breaks and falls. With that, she leans against the shattered trunk, breathing heavily. Jerry painfully picks himself up and cautiously approaches Dianne.}
Jerry: "Dianne?"
Dianne:"Don't--Just--, Ugh....Tell me what you need done...."
Jerry:"What-But....Who was Lucci?"

Armin took a swift step back. 'OK... that's just wrong,' he said, eyeing the draugr suspiciously. He started to move slowly around the creature's side, so that he could run after Dianne and Jerry once he was sure it was distracted. 'Is that all? Or can you talk for yourself?'

'Ooooh, a spirit? Is THAT why Lord Sargon wants to see you...' Anastasia almost seemed to be talking to herself again. Then sje suddenly snapped back to reality and snarled at Morty over her shoulder. 'I am NOT a minion, pathetic man! I am right-hand to the great Count Sargon himself, ruler of Shacklestone and the strongest vampire to ever live!'

(Draco - are you ok)

{Dianne begins walking back towards Armin and the draugr. she yells something out to the draugr before turning back to Jerry, her anger not yet fully dissipated.}
"Lucci is an old .....friend of mine from a time I'd rather //not// discuss."
{The draugr simply lets out a laugh that sounds like a young child while stepping along with Armin, as to prevent him from slipping past. Once Dianne's voice is heard, however, it straightens up, sheaths its blades, tells Armin in his own voice, "That is all.", and runs towards its master.}

"Uh-huh. Come back and talk to me when Sargon has lived for thousands of years and has accumilated millions of followers throughout those years. Watch out for that building."
He says with a little amusement, hoping to catch her off guard while her head is turned to him.

Armin halted at the peculiarity of the draugr's laugh, but when it turned and ran off towards the sound of Dianne's voice, he slowly followed it, keeping his sword drawn. He was pretty sure he didn't want to have to fight Dianne herself. //If she tries to stop me getting to Jeremiah, I'm getting out of here,// he decided, then continued walking.

'Are you trying to insult my Master?!' Ana hissed furiously, but she heeded the warning and turned to face straight ahead, repressing her desire to bite Mortikai. The grey-coloured office block loomed above them, at least five storeys high and illuminated by bright electric lighting.

Anastasia dived down steeply and came to land in front of the main entrance. The doors were large enough for her to walk through with Morty on her back, which was exactly what she did. Now they were in a long, white
walled corridor filled with suspicious-looking vampire and werewolf guards patrolling up and down. She strode past them, apparently heading for a certain part of the building.

{Jerry limps faster to catch up with Dianne}
Jerry:"So, wait, did you owe him a favor or something? And this is how he's calling it in?"
{Dianne replies to Jerry through clenched teeth.}"Obviously...."
As soon as Armin comes into view, Jerry give him a thumb's up from behind Dianne. Dianne just glares at Armin hatefully.}

{Meanwhile, when Crowley mentions the "zombie things" to Vitis, his grin shifts slightly.}"Zombies? And a weird looking lady? What did she look like?"

(King/Draco - Do you need me to send in some bad guys to attack the dog squad, or do you want to control the bad guys yourselves? I don't know whether you were talking about generic bad guys or someone specific. XD)

Armin kept well back from Dianne as she approached. He spotted Jerry giving him a thumbs-up from behind her, and guessed that meant the discussion had gone well, despite the fact that the investigator had an obvious limp. 'What's going on?' he asked, keeping his voice light.

Crowley's face screwed up as he struggled to recall some detail of Dianne's appearance; he was terrible at remembering people. 'Uhh, she was pretty tall. And she had sunglasses on, I think. She was definitely controlling the zombie things, too. I'd like to kill her someday.' He said the last part in a very casual tone of voice.

{Dianne just stood to the side, obviously fuming with anger. Jerry, on the other hand, seemed more upbeat.}"Well, Armin, I managed to convince Dianne to help us." {He then turns to the draugr.} "Now, what I need you, Dianne, to do is to use your draugrs, like this one here, to sabotage Sargon's operations, starting with the food supply for his army. Unfortunately, Brink hasn't brought me that list yet, so..."
{Dianne picks her head up}"Brink? Which one?"
Jerry:"The good one, of course. I don't trust the other one. Anyway, we'll need a way to communicate that can't be tapped by Sargon's forces. Maybe we can set up some kind of morse code setup or.." {Rolling her eyes, Diane gets up, and speaks to her draugr. It the proceeds to run off into the forest, and returns immediately with a dead crow. Dianne takes it from her minion and raises it, at which point, it gets up and starts acting like a normal crow.}"When you get the list, send it to me through this crow. Also, why do you trust //him// suddenly? (Points at armin) Don't you know he started this sh!t by killing that girl six months ago?"
Dianne:"How do you k

(Disregard the unfinished dialogue at the end of that paragraph. It's meaningless.)

Hey, Ive gtg. I'll probably be back in like 30-40 minutes.

Armin looked surprised for a moment, then rolled his eyes. 'Oh, come on. Surely someone who's supposedly as old as you can't believe that. The tension between the two races has been mounting for years - this was bound to happen eventually, even if I never got involved.' He glanced down at the sword in his hand, his expression darkening slightly. 'Anyway, I only did that because Sargon told me to.'

"Well, what a lovely place you have here. It's almost like a real office. Everyone looks tired and a little dead inside."
Mortikai states boredly as he's taken through the building.

(Aggron - Alright! I'll try to still be here by then, but I can't guarantee it.)

(King - Then I'll send in some minions to harass them, give me a minute. XD)

Anastasia sneered as she walked through a smaller doorway that led into another mostly empty corridor. This one didn't have as many guards, but the ones that were there shot her nasty looks as she passed. 'They're dead inside because they're not like me!' she said shrilly. 'Lord Sargon doesn't trust them as much as he trusts me... they're not special.'

As Ango, Toby, Jed and Keenan walked through the streets towards the city gates, a group of figures spied on them from the shadows.

'Count Sargon said to kill or Turn any humans we see,' said a voice, deep and gruff. It was a werewolf, in human form and carrying a long sword.

Another werewolf shrugged. 'Let's just kill them. I'm bored and we haven't had any decent work lately.'

With a ripple of thunderous growls, all six of them shifted into their beast forms and prowled out into the road, showing themselves to the travelling group.

Toby's ears flatten, growling softly at the group ahead.
Keenan glares at the group, baring his teeth as if he was in his lion form, a ripple of electricity running down his spine.
Ango moves to stand in front of her mother, who hadn't reacted much to anything that had happened.

'They're angry because they're jealous of me,' said Ana, throwing a contempteous grin towards one of the guards. He immediately turned away, muttering something rude under his breath. 'Now, stop talking so much. We're going to see Lord Sargon now.' She slipped her bulk through another doorway, this one leading into an elevator just big enough for her to stand in. If Morty had been wearing his hat, it would have brushed the ceiling.

The werewolf pack moved in on all sides, almost surrounding them. The one who had spoken up first suddenly noticed Toby growling at him, and he grinned nastily.

'Aww, look at that cute little doggy! I think it wants to fight us!' he said, before leaping forwards to hit Toby with a huge paw hard enough to knock him over. The other werewolves laughed.

Jed felt a surge of anger and leapt at the werewolf who had hit Toby, sinking his teeth into its leg.

Thorn, who hadn't spoken up for a while, took a step back and quickly shifted into cat form.

"Hmph, if you so wish."
He says quietly, patiently waiting for the elevator to arrive at their destination.

Toby falls to the ground, but swiftly gets back up again, running to protect Ango and Emelia.
"Hey! You can't just do that!"
Ango yells angrily at the one who hit Toby, almost going in for an attempt at punching him before he bites onto her hoodie, pulling her back.
Keenan shifts, roaring and jumping onto the nearest werewolf with a charged bite.

(It's not letting me comment on my 3DS for some reason, but I'ma head off to sleep now because I'm so flipping tired aa ;w;

The elevator rose for almost a minute before coming to a stop. They must be on the very topmost floor of the building. Ana forced herself out through the metal doors as they slid open, revealing them to be in a short hallway with a large arched door directly in front of them.
Uncharacteristically silent, the dragon pushed it open with a forepaw and stepped inside, going only a few paces before she stopped and lowered her head to the floor in a bow. 'Master... I have brought the strange man as you ordered.'

The room they had entered was enormous, with a high ceiling and stained-glass windows covering three of the walls. In front of one of those windows, silhouetted against the afternoon light, stood a motionless figure.

I'm back!{Dianne steps aggressively towards Armin.}"That's exactly my point. You were apart of his forces. How do we know you won't stab us in the back?"

Howling in surprise and pain when Keenan jumped at him, the werewolf scrambled backwards to safety, barely even trying to fight back.

'Get that one!' roared the leader, pointing a paw at Keenan. 'He's the most dangerous. Subdue him, and we can do what we like with the others.'

The other five werewolves snarled menacingly as they formed a ring around Keenan, one of them bravely darting in to snap at his leg.

(Welcome back, Aggron!)

Armin stood his ground, twirling his sword idly at his side while he answered. 'How do we know YOU won't backstab us? I might have been working for him at one point, but only because I had no choice in the beginning. I've always been suspicious of you. I bet you'd help him, if he asked.'

{Dianne scowled at Armin and spoke in a growl.}"I've wasted enough of my life killing in the name of a bloodthirsty demagogue. I won't waste //another// second doing that by working for him!"

Jerry:"Ok, there's no need for this, fellas. If Armin was working for Sargon, he would have killed me already, and if Dianne was working for Sargon, well, I wouldn't have a face right now."

Armin let out a chuckle and put his sword away, though still eyed Dianne with faint mistrust. 'Even if she's not going to help out Sargon, that doesn't necessarily mean she won't try to kill us for some other reason,' he said, addressing Jerry over Dianne's shoulder.

{Dianne starts to laugh.}"Maybe you, //parasite//. Jerry, on the other hand, I know won't betray me or get on my bad side."

Jerry:"Hey, no one's betraying anyone, ok? Armin, let's just go back with this crow, and Dianne can go home now, ok?"

Armin shot a glance at the crow, then disregarded it and looked at Dianne one last time. 'Don't be so sure that you COULD kill me,' he warned, though his tone was light. He turned to Jerry. 'Sure. Let's go back to the base.'

(My wifi might be getting switched off in a few minutes. I'll let you know if I have to go.)

{Seeing that tensions between Armin and Dianne were only going to get worse, Jeremiah nudges Armin to walk, and limps towards their base. Dianne scowls at Armin once more, then turns and begins to walk back to the city.}

Without saying anything, Armin turned his back on her and fell into step beside Jerry. Noticing his limp, he asked, 'Are you injured?' He didn't sound like he cared too much, but there was a faint hint of concern buried in his voice.

He also remembered that he was injured himself from fighting the draugr, but he ignored it. //I wonder if Ivy's still at home,// he suddenly wondered.

{Jerry nods.}"Yeah, but I'll be fine. Did her minion give you much trouble?"

'Not really,' said Armin with a shrug. 'It was only trying to stop me from following you.' He glanced around and suddenly spotted the tranquilizer gun he'd dropped on the forest floor while fighting the draugr. He picked it up as they walked past.

(I gotta get going! This was a fun RP, see you next time. X))
