Luina was born on a small island near Finland. Her father died before her birth by drowning in the ocean and when a few years later her uncle, who had become her father figure, had an accident on the sea as well, which he just so happened to survive, Luina's mother forbid her daughter to go near the ocean. But over the years Luina developed a longing towards the ocean, while her magical abilities stayed hidden for an unknown reason.
