Rainbow Variants: Only 4 have ever existed and Niji is the last to be alive. They form at birth by rare chance if a moondragon has the gene from the first moondragons, nicknamed Stellar Guardians. They were watchers of the night, they hunted, ate, and protected Sylyore at night. The only way the Stellar gene can be given to an offspring in reproduction is if one with the gene was born in moonlight. The UV rays reflected off the moon of sylyore causes a glowing rainbow marking to shine brightly through the flesh on the right shoulder. It's so bright if a deep injury was made there that the top layers of skin were all torn off or cut open, the marking ON THE BONE would permanently blind anything from 5 miles away. Stellar Guardians are well known for their silvery skin and scales, color of the moon and their bright four or more colored markings. (Multi-colored above 4 otherwise its just a rare birth defect.)

The offspring has a chance to be the rainbow colors with a tint of the normal colored parent. If two guardians or a guardian with a guardian descendent (silver scaled moondragon with no rainbow color but unique abilities) eventually mate with the gene active, there is a very rare chance for the offspring to be an 'Eclipse' Moondragon.

Eclipse MoonDragons: Kings and queens of all moondragons, higher rank than Night. The colors they consist of is all white markings with pure shadowy black scales. They have portals in their wings and can use them to go anywhere with a simple flap of their wings as long as their wings touch the rest of their body. They have eclipses in their pupils and if an enemy looks into it they will turn to moon rock until the sun rises. They are even capable of increasing their own size to fight large creatures against Sylyore. Not only the moon but the sun is their ally in battle. They can use their wings to make a bright sun-like glow to blind opponents with a flash or as long as needed, they can withstand heat at up to 2 billion degrees fahrenheit and withstand the cold of SPACE. These kings or queens of the species can control all moon dragons telepathically and by word. They don't abuse their powers but often help if a colony is struggling to stay high in the food chain or are in danger. Young 'Eclipse' MoonDragons are only able to use minor abilities of the sun and moon and mildly talk telepathically.

If I ever had a mythical pet in real life I would definitely want this. Or a Nightfury. Aw man it's hard to choose she is so pretty and adorable, but I can ride on a Nightfury. You know what I would want both. :D
