Laurentia: *was running, by now out of breath, towards Alberich's academy building, followed by a group of armed magicless, in one hand she was holding a black magic tome, its pages swirling one after the other violently as a dark aura surrounded the book* (thinking: Just a little... Bit... More...!)

Alberich: had heard news from the scouts he had sent to keep watch over the area around the academy, that armed men from the capital had wondered onto the grounds chasing someone. He himself had gone out to investigate. He soon spotted them chasing after a girl. (Thinking: i've told the king time & time again to keep his people off the academy grounds) *He thought as he ran towards the situation prepairing to cast a blocking spell to stop them from moving any more forward.

Laurentia: *Her tome soon started glowing, markings of light orbitating around it to form a sigil that soon broke as she stopped rulling, turning towards her chasers with a murderous glare* Why won't you just DIE ALREADY! *lifted her free hand towards the group, opening a void beneath them from which black arms emerged, their sharp claws wrapping around the legs of the magicless bringing them towards the void, dismembering them in the process as they screamed inhumanly*

//... Yeah her necromancy ain't family friendly

Alberich: *who had just witnessed the entire thing stopped in his tracks, he covered his mouth trying to hold back his nausea, and leaned next to a tree. Trying to keep his composure he called out.* GIRL!

Laurentia: *gets startled by his voice calling her out, turns around now holding the closed tome between her arms as id she was protecting it* ...! *ger eyes widened as she realized she had been witnessed using her monstrous magic, her body froze in fear*

Alberich: *Composing himself he walked towards the girl, he raised his hand, slapping her across the face* You, do you realize what you just did!? *He was half yelling now* You killed those people, people who likely had family to return to! people who will have someone who will miss them... *He stopped, seeing the scared face of the girl, he embraced her in a random hug.* They were trying to kill you, and, you did what you thought had to be done, you did what you had to do to survive, i understand that feeling all to well... but.

Laurentia: *Gave no reaction to either the slap or the hug, but his words actually hurt her, her voice sounded empty* Family you say...? A family to return to, that loves them and will miss them...? ... *laughs lightly, sounding sorrowful* ... You really are as peaceful as people describe you, Headmaster Alberich... Or maybe you're just crazy... Say, why are you squeezing my body...?

Alberich: So, you've heard of me then? *He pulled himself away, eye's looking saddened.* Your a mage who came here looking for refuge correct? Come with me, i'll take you to the academy. *He turned his back, looking the direction the academy was, though he spoke quietly, he answered her last question* You... reminded of someone i knew long ago... who needed that.

//Feels a bit condensed from last one but i dun remember exactly what i wrote so.

Laurentia: *took a step forward hesitantly, before stopping* Do you... Not want me dead...? Not even after seeing my magic...?

Alberich: *Looked back* of course not, that magic you used, it's a part of you, despite the things your able to do with it, it doesn't make you evil or deserving to die. Though i hate to admit it, it was... *He stopped, trying to think of a word* "better" that those men died, if word got out of a dark mage in the academy. well... lets just say we'd be in a lot of trouble. *Alberich smiled trying to lighten the mood* Are you injured anywhere? the academy has a doctor who's quite skilked at healing magics.

Laurentia: No, I'm... I'm just tired... *holds her tome tighter* (thinking: Why is he not afraid...? Does he not care about the school's reputation and the safety of his students...? But why?! He doesn't even know my name! Ehy is he helping me, and why is he showing affection?!) *frowned, confused by her own thoughts*

Alberich: ... *He stared at her, looking a little worried* If your to tired to make the treck, i can carry you, you look light. *He leaned down & smiled*

Laurentia: *her face reddebed in enbarrassment as he leaned down* C-carry me?! *covered her face still frowning, but still clearly blushing* Tch...! Are you trying t-to look tough? V-very well, I shall accept your offer... *blushes even more, her expression looking stern* But just for thus time!

// I really should go to bed... But we can continue tomorrow, I'll be free from 5pm my time onwards~

Alberich: Haha, so you can show more emotions than just being sad. *Alberich picked her up princess style* I'll have someone get a room ready for you, and perhaps get someone to get you some changes of clothes from town.

Alberich: Laury it is then. *He smiled triumphantly realizing he was starting to earn her trust.* Alberich pendragon, though you already know that i suppose *They were now in the backyard of the school, where a fountain sat in the middle*

Laurentia: E-excuse me?! *blushes again, her expression in the middle between embarrassed and annoyed as she heard him giving such an unformal nickname, but quickly brushed it off, grunting a bit* ... *sighs* You're... Awfully trustful for someone that just met a Necromancer, Headmaster... That's careless of you. Very careless. You should be more vigilant about the people you welcome in the home of many people that seek peace...

Alberich: Perhaps... but isn't it better to give someone the benefit of the doubt? trust is built on trust, if i don't trust you, how will you ever trust me? *Smiled warmly* But... a question if i may... that book. *He stopped speaking there, seeing if she would be willing to talk about it*

Laurentia: My tome...? What about it...? I know the powers it holds are sinister to say the least, but no, I will not get rid of it, if it is what you're about to ask.

Alberich: No, anything but. I wish to protect books just as i protect the mages who write them, but... yours is of dark magic, keeping such a thing out in the open would not bode well for the academy. What i wish to ask is... if i may take it? There are other books like yours, but i've hidden them from site. i wish to do the same with yours...

Laurentia: ... *The little trust she was starting to give to Alberich vanished instantly, her gaze getting cold, almost menacing* It shall stay by my side until the end of my days, even if it means I'll lose my permission to stay here in your academy. You can't understand... Not yet. Never ask again, my answer will not change.

//Brb, gotta eat some food and was some dishes. Be back in around 10 mins from.

Alberich: I'm sorry, with the way your holding on to it, it should have been obvious it was important to you, i shouldn't have asked to take it away, i apologise from the bottom of my heart. *he said this as they arrived in front of an empty dorm room in the building, he let her go, allowing her to stand again* This will be your room for now or for as long as you need it. there's a bathroom, so clean your self off and get some rest. I'll return tomorrow with some clothing. *He wanted to say more but, he felt bad for asking her something he shouldn't have. and didn't want to "add fuel to the fire"*

I won't give you away... *the book started emitting its aura again, despite being closed* ... Yes, I know. I understand the situation I'm in but... I need you... No matter how many might be against it. I won't abandon you, I promise...

Alberich: *He sighed loudly* Yup, i upset her, nice work alberich. *He headed to his quarters to get things ready.

//OK, OK, I JUST SPENT THE NEXT FEW MINUTES THEORYZING WHAT THE HECK THAT TOME IS. MY THEORY SENSES ARE GOING CRAZY RIGHT NOW.

Alberick: *was walking down the hallway carrying the clothes he promised to bring, along with various papers he would have to have her sign. he however wasn't alone this time, a black cat with a strange rune on his head followed along* Mm, i hope it's not to early, she might be still asleep, should i knock? she might still be asleep though. *The cat meowed in response* Be quiet you, i don't need your bad mouthing right now.

Laurentia: ... *opens the door hearing the ruckus outside, her gaze not as cold as the day before, but still slightly harsh* ... *stayed silent, waiting for him to say something first*

Alberick: A-ah Laury how a-are you, *He stuttered surprised when the door suddenly opened* I brought you some changes of clothing, and i have some papers i'll need your signature for, ah also a form for you to put your info on. We'll need to head to my office though... would you like to change first, i can wait. *He was trying his awkwardness didn't show but*
*The cat who had came with Alberich was now meowing and rubbing his head on laurentia's leg*

Laurentia: ... A... Cat...? *picks the cat up, scratching his ears* I didn't know you owned a pet... It seems to like me... And what are those papers for? Before I sign anything, I must tell you I do not intend on becoming a student, since I already know how to use magic. And I hope for you you weren't that airheaded to bring a contract about my tome.

Alberich: ...I... wouldn't really call him a pet, per say. His name is Joseph, and... i'm not surprised he likes you. And um the papers well... yes, this is problematic. *He quickly puts the student forms at the bottom of the other papers* No, nothing of the sort, i just need you to sign your info like your name, age, and a few other things...

Laurentia: And what about those clothes? Is it a student uniform? ... I suppose walking around with one of those would be just confusing... However, I might not need to attend classes, but that doesn't mean I don't owe you. Perhaps there is another role I could assume... *keeps petting Joseph* ... So he's a ladies cat huh...

Alberich: Well um, yes. *He lowered his head like a depressed puppy, but his elven ears perked up* Another role!? Desperately actually. *He put his hands on her shoulders, his face serious* We are so extremely understaffed i don't think i can stand another day of reading forms, fixing problems & broken things in the school, hearing complaints. The amount of spots we have open is depressing, a teacher, nurse, book organizer in the library. I will give you an job you could want here. any at all.

Laurentia: *flinches a bit due to her personal space being invaded, feeling a bit uneasy* U-uh... If that's the problem... Do you need an assistant...? I'm quite capable in many things, as long as you don't ask me for household mansions... *holds Joseph close due to her uneasyness*

Alberich: My... assistant? *Alberich was brought to tears* Y-you would be willing to take that job. THANK YOU *He pulls her into a tight hug* I finally have someone to help me, if there is a divine being in the sky listening then thank you.

Laurentia: Eeh- *was very confused by the sudden hug, which caused her to get flustered again* U-uh... You're... W-welcome...?

Alberich: *He pulled away smiling a smile brighter than the sun* We'll have you start working right away then! There is so much thats needs to be done, oj-h but we'll need to figure out your pay, and revonate one of the rooms on the 3rd floor for your personal use.

Alberich: *He hadn't heard the knock at the door, as he was super into translating a new book he got his hands on*

Laurentia: ... *sighs and opens the door, glaring at Alberich* HEADMASTER! *walks to his desk angrily, smacking the tray on the table violently almost spilling the tea, staring right into his eyes* ... Breakfast. No buts. And listen to me!

Alberich: *is shocked out of his focus* Oh, laury, good morning. Did you have a good rest last night? *He greets, acting entirely innocent*

Laurentia: *sighs* I did. I also had time to get up, shower, make my way to the library and organize the books in alphabetical and elemental order, then I helped Lorence with his mansions, prepared breakfast for you, all while you weren't even aware of it being morning already. Now eat.

Alberich: Fine. *knowing he wasn't going to getaway with not eating, he gave in and started on the food* ...Laurentia?... there's been something i've been meaning to ask... you'll likely say no, but.

Laurentia: ... Is it about my tome again?

Alberich: *Waves his hands back & forth* No no! it's about something else... It's well... it's almost halloween you see, i wanted to ask if you'd be willing to dress up? i prepaired a cat costume for you with giant adorable paw gloves and everything.
