The mark of Dark Brink by Reindeer-King
All of Dark Brink's proxies bear his mark, whether they are past or current tools to their disposal. Those currently in their care have the black coloured symbol somewhere on their body and often ties to the reason they committed to themselves to DB. However, if the mark turns red, then they are seen as a betrayer to DB for disobeying his rule. These people are often hunted and killed before they can use the powers they received from DB against him.
This picture shows six of DB's proxies.
The top left is Mortikai Ondor, who's mark is on his left wrist. The mark is a near-black dark red, due to his disobeying of some of DB's orders but stays loyal to him, as he and them need each other in many ways. The mark's placement shows that the powers of DB runs in his blood and into the blood of his children, which will only become apparent if they choose the path their father took.
The top middle is Dispair, also known by his former name of Hope. The blazing red mark of Dark Brink is upon both of his wings, which was the second of his rewards from his spiritual master. The mark forever shows what he sacrificed to try to help those he cares about, but they were always in vain.

The top right is the mark of Oscar Farland. His mark is as dark as the spirit itself due to his strong belief in DB, and is on his left shoulder. This placement is because of the great strength he borrows from the malevolent being to bring corrupt justice upon his birthplace.
On the bottom right is Keenan Fulmine, who's dark mark is placed directly over his heart. This placement is because of his strong connections he has to friends and family, and his willingness to commit any crime to keep them safe and sound.
Shadowsneak is the one on the bottom middle. His mark is on both sides of his body, due to the fact his broken body was put back together by Dark Brink from a deal his parents made with them, sealing it up with the material that makes up shadows. He was given to them as an offering and as the price his parents paid for the saving of his life. His mark is a dark red for his reluctance to commit certain things for DB.
Finally, the bottom right is the mark of Mia Falaz, the technomancer with a good sense of who is the most powerful being in any situation and immediately playing for their side after proving herself to be trustworthy, only to return to the care of DB when the one she followed is no longer on top, much like a rebellious teen coming home late after they were supposed to come in. This behaviour is the reason behind her dark red mark, which she often covers with bandages to hide her disobedience from other proxies. The placement of her mark (on her right palm) is because of the powers of minute electrical and water control to power her metallic creations.
All of those who make a deal with Dark Brink automatically become one of their proxies, whether they are prepared for it or not. A mark always finds itself onto the proxy's body, and can never be taken away, even if Dark Brink is defeated or destroyed.
