Re: I understand. To be honest, I, myself, have stopped having birthday parties because the extended family rarely bother to even show up anymore. Yeah, birthdays can be disappointing, whether by indifference by family, unfortunate dates, and expectation norms, but the important thing, I think, about them is that the anniversary of one's coming into existence is important to celebrate. Everyone is unique and deserves a day where they can be happy about who they are.
Not sure if I'm making sense, I'm kinda tired and I might just be rambling.
