Ceres comes from an ancient breed of humans called the Avium. Avium is the Latin term for "Birds", which describes the literal bird like features they display.
Their traits are distinct to their Ranks as people.
The most High up gain their traits that are a distinct and "pure" color. Often thought to be doves or ravens. Their wings' skeletons are at the top of their spine giving them great speed and mobility. [continued in comments.]

The middle class is comprised of brightly colored and common bird appearences, such as a Bluejay or Parrot. Their wings are located mid back and serve no extra purpose other than flight,
The lowest classed, and rarest, are the people who's genes derive from extinct birds. While feathered, they grow sharp, black, claw like nails; bright, often seen as beautiful scales; multicolored eyes, lizard esque tails and many other odd traits. Their wings are on the base of their backs and give immense power. However since they are so rare and the use of their strength is limited to laws they grew to be belittled.
Ceres is a dorment, quiet, and gentle woman. She lives just outside town on her own in bliss. Seeing no mind to the city life and all its troubles.
