He walks out of camp with Snakepaw, to the forest where the Clan hunts "Alright Snakepaw, do you remember how we hunt mice and vole?"

"Mhmmm... you crouch down and put all your weight on your back paws, then you creep up on them and pounce... right?"

"Yeah, exactly!" he drops into a crouch to demonstrate "You put all your weight on your back paws, so you can spring forward quickly and powerfully." The larger tom quickly pounces forward to demonstrate

Snakepaw crouched down and then pounced swiftly, landing on a large oak leaf. "Yeah... it's pretty easy."

"Good. This is the time of day when mice are usually out... Go ahead and track one."

Snakepaw tasted the air, searching for the scent of a mouse. He caught one coming from the roots of a beech tree and begun creeping towards the tree.

Wolfsong watched him, sitting down quietly.

He caught sight of the mouse and crouched. He stalked closer, and then sprang on top of the mouse and killed it with a quick bite on the back of its neck.

"Excellent job, Snakepaw." he stood, padding over to him.

"Thanks, Wolfsong!" Snakepaw said with a smile, digging a small hole so he could bury his catch until they went back to camp.

Wolfsong is out of camp, in the middle of the river. He swam halfway through to get to one of the large rocks in the middle. It's a cooler day outside, a bit breezy, welcoming autumn. His thick fur moves slightly with the breeze as he stares down into the water calmly, half hunting, half relaxing away from the busy Clan.

Moth tilted his head to the sky feeling the wind flow through his chest fur, he lowered his head and looked ahead of him sniffing for prey. He could hear splashes in the river close by, too big to be fish. He pinned his ears back, whoever was there had washed their scent with the water from the river. He quickly picked up his walk which almost turned into a sprint and skidded to a halt seeing it was Wolf, swimming.

*jumps in majestically*

Wolfsong climbs up onto the rock, shaking his fur, spreading water droplets through the air and back into the water.

"Can't we do it on this side?" Moth lowers his ears, going across would be a lot of hassel for some prey, he stares at Wolf "What were you doing out here anyway just swimming?"

"Yeah, pretty much. ... Well. I was watching the kits today. When Poppy came back, I needed a break." he chuckles faintly. He stands up, stepping back into the water gracefully.

Moth looked down at the grass under him at the mention of Poppy he'd grow distant from her even Quail made an effort-he shook his head he's not going to get upset about it, it didn't matter. He sighed "Is it deep?" he looked back up at Wulf

"Yeah, it is today, since it rained last night." He swims over to him quickly, his fur sticking to his rather muscular body

Moth stepped over to the edge of the river and put a front paw in and stared at Wolf and took a few steps in

Wolf's ears raise in alert "Mothwing, be careful- you aren't used to water." he watches with wide eyes

Moth stepped back a little and turned to Wolf "Then why would you suggest we hunt on the other side?" he says annoyed

"I'm coming towards you, bird brain." he purrs faintly, in amusement, swimming up to the shore, walking over to him.

"If I drown here, tell the clan I was pushed in because it couldn't be more embaressing than this" he mewed hiding his relief that Wolf was now here to help

he chuckles again "I'll tell them you fell in battling a bobcat to save my life."

"Thank you..." he muttered feeling embaressed someone has to help him "Your sure about this?"

"Well, we don't have to cross the river. It's just a lot... more quiet. Most of you guys can't cross the river? Which is a shame, it's beautiful over there."

"Well no, it's actually suprising that you know how to swim, how did you learn?"

"I learned when I was younger. You know, I wasn't born in SageClan." he sits along the shore
