I get some Uprising (campaign mission on Halo 2) vibes from this. I looooveed the mission Uprising on Halo 2, I spent a lot of time playing it and The Great Journey as a kid because they took place in cool natural envoirnments and because they were Arbiter missions. I had, and still do have, immense amounts of love for Elites. I would play on easy difficulty and revert to the last checkpoint if an Elite got killed while I was playing. I refused to let any die.
I even found a way to save the Elites that come help you during Halo 2's final boss battle, I remember one time I had like... a dozen standing around in the hall where they spawn.
One time, I had a dozen Elites alive, and Rtas and Sgt. Johnson in a Spectre. (Johnson was somehow cloned and there were three of him actually) And a Banshee too, iirc.... I've forgot how I did it, but I used to break the Tartarus fight as a kid. X"D
^ I think I got a Wraith in that fight once too? I saw a "get Wraith inside Tartarus fight area" glitch video on Youtube a while back but I'm pretty sure I got my Wraith through the main door when I brought a Wraith to the fight. I think I did... Maybe it was the Spectre that I brought. (I used a Wraith to launch it to the door)
OH, one fun thing I did a lot on The Great Journey was get a Wraith and a Spectre, then use the Wraith to launch the Spectre up onto the gray cliffs/mountains that you're not supposed to get on. Basically, I'd play in co-op, (with me controlling both characters) go grab the Sputnik skull, then go to The Great Journey and get my Wraith and Spectre set up.
If you have the Sputnik skull on and fire a Wraith shot at the ground behind a Spectre, it will /fly/ way up and you can get up on crazy places with it.
I think you have to be in the passenger seat though since the soft boundries will shove you away if you're driving it. *
* It's been years since I've done it so I'm not totally certain on the boundry thing.
But I remember getting up and going to the cliff where some of Uprising takes place. A suprising amount of that area loads up when you go there, I thought it was really cool because I figured not much of it would load since you're on a different campaign mission. :o
