Whitecough- Most common chest infection, occurs around leaf-bare and leaf-fall. Greencough- Common, occurs around leaf-bare and leaf-fall. Blackcough- Severe chest infection. Low survival rate. Kittencough- Less severe than whitecough, only found in kits. Redcough- Usually involves coughing up blood. Yellowcough- Causes loss of appetite, sore throat, tiredness and weakness.
-Poisoning can be caused by eating or drinking poisonous substances, such as eating rotten food or drinking tainted water. It is also caused by inhaling too much smoke from a fire and being bitten by a venomous animal. -Loss of sensory perception is when a cat loses their eyesught or hearing, possibly due to old age, accidents, infection, or a birth defect. Kits born with defects usually die young. -Joint aches are something elders get, as joints generally degenerate with age, causing pain, discomfort and difficulty/inability to move. Damp and cold enviroments aggitate this.
-Toothache is caused by a cracked tooth, cavities, or infections. -A fever is a sign of illness or infection, such as greencough or an infected wound. Wounds: When the skin or muscles underneath are torn, scratched, or cut. These are dangerous due to the loss of blood and risk of infection. Sprains: When the ligaments of a joint is dislocated from its normal place. Cracked pads: This happens when walking long distances. Elders are more prone to this.
Broken bones: Usually caused by accidents. The most common break is in the leg. This will lead to a cat being crippled for life, as there has only been one to fully recover from this. Breaking a backbone is far more serious, as a cat will lose feeling in their legs. Without excersize, fluid will build up and kill them.
