I created Day because I loved LOVED the movies and shows. I understand I used the same look but I was young when I first made her and after a while it stuck. I cwant think of any other unique username other than Day-The-SunFury. So I won't (and kind of cant) change her, my name or anything about her at all. And the httyd creators even made another nightfury looking dragon, the SandWraith in School of Dragons. Now I'm not saying I have all rights over the fandom and show/movies/ect I'm just saying I have a decent reason and have grown to love Day so much she isn't going anywhere. Anyways sorry for the rant I just wanted to make sure this was clear.

I respect everyone's opinions and would love to hear what you all think.

Anyways the good news! First of all I am LOVING highschool, my back is healing as far as I can tell and I'm gonna get a figet cube soon so I don't have to deal with my habit of ripping up corners of my paper and playing with them. So yeah, thank for taking the time to read this!

The reason most people don't like characters based off of Toothless, or any movie character in general, is because it isn't original. With characters like this, you're taking a concept that belongs and was created by someone else and turning it into your own "idea". It's like making a fnaf or sonic character. You can call them original, but in aspect, they aren't.

There's nothing wrong with creating fan characters and fan speicies, but you need to understand why most people don't like these kinds of characters and species. Because, in aspect, you're taking someone else's concept and making it your own by changing it. I personally like your SunFury characters, but that's just me.

And the creators of HTTYD can make another species of dragon based on Nightfuries without calling it a fan species, because they own the concept of Nightfuries.

Re: Unless you change her full appearance and anything that looks like it belongs to a Nightfury, she's still a fan character. And again, there's nothing wrong with having fan characters!
